Cal smiled back and left The Prince to arrange transportation then walked over to Oscar and said "Hello. Do you understand what I'm saying, and are you capable of speech?"

Cal watched the display from Oscar, and when it was over, said "Ummm....what?"

"Oh, I thought he was with the good merchant."

If you have a VGA monitor, you can get a VGA to HDMI adaptor from Amazon for like 7 bucks and then have two monitors ;)

"What sort of transportation do you have? We would like something rather quick if possible."

"As I said, we are looking for transportation and I was hoping that you might be able to assist us one way or the other."

"Now, now, we're all very dangerous men. No need for any perceived slights or angry words. Let's have a drink while we discuss our fortunes, assuming that you are indeed the right people to talk to. I'd hate to bother you further were you not."

"Transportation for you and your companions? To where exactly might you be intending to travel?"

"Well, then thing is it's a bit of a secret. There's a bit of jank on the line, as one might say, and so we don't want a ton of competition."

"And what exactly makes you think I would know anything about that, gentle sir?"

"You are well dressed and carry yourself with a confidence that speaks of success. That, combined with the ink stains that all merchants seem to have, leads me to believe that you are, in fact, a merchant."

"My companions and I were looking to arrange transportation and you certainly seem like a knowledgeable sort, so I was hoping you might point me in the right direction."

Cal looks around and takes stock of the Humans he sees, before approaching the largest group of them to start up a conversation.

"Did you guys hear something?" Cal asked as the group walked.

Cal shrugs and follows the prince.

"Seems reasonable to me."

I'm good with it Sebecloki. I read the John Carter books as a boy, and remember liking them.

"Are you asking if we have money? I believe I have some."

"Is that the name of the river?" Cal asked. "If it's the river over there" he gestured in the way that they came "then yes, it si the Maastriad river."

As am I. Okay with returning to halfstar, that is.

"Alas, I lack the ability to cast spells, as far as I can tell; I believe I am a swordsman."

"Alas, it appears that I lack the means to fly." says Cal. "Should that be our desired means of travel, perhaps one of you that can fly might offer me a ride?"

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the" Cal glances towards the barrow "person in question use the night song to fly to another place? How, exactly, would you purport for out group to duplicate such a feat?"

"Given that I have no idea where the night lady is located and how long such a trip might be, I don't think I could make such a compromise in good faith."

"We intend to free an unjustly held individual. That is all."

"Delightful as this discussion has been, is it your intent to prevent us from going where we intend to go?"

"When do you expect Chahaan-Uralin to return?'

"As I said, my name is Cal. Do you have a leader, or are you a collective?"

"Apologies, I realize we never introduced ourselves. My name is Cal, and you are?"

"We sent ourselves. We are on a quest, and have need of of the knowledge within."

Cal walks towards the embankment.

"Well, let's just go check it out."

I know that's what was said, but Lawful Good still gonna Lawful Good.

Cal moves forward with the others, keeping pace and watching for ambushes, though in his heart he wants to go check on the voice in pain.

Not Invisible, I'll be in the middle, unless no one wants to take point.

Sighing, Cal said "fine." and followed the others towards the tower.

"Trap though it might be, it shouldn't take too long to verify that."

"I can't just ignore a call for help. It won't take long to check out."

"Are you saying that something is actively trying to prevent us from reaching the tower?"

Cal drew his sword and headed towards the sound of the voice without hesitation.

The sword's handle is covered in beaten gold, with a large Sapphire set into the pommel. Runes glowing soft white light run the length of the starmetal blade; when read in celestial, they offer a powerful prayer to destroy evil.

"A map would be most helpful, thank you."

"Or perhaps, since it just blocks sound, we can just walk through it."

"Perhaps it is a being made of sound, and the silence area traps it?"

"Damn ninjas." sputters Cal when Kiyoshi became visible.

"Why have you given it that name?" Cal asked, clearly curious by his tone.

"Is it made of stone or wood?"

"How tall is 'real tall'? Is it taller than him?" Cal asks, pointing at the Dragon.

"Well, then, we should probably get started on that." Cal looks around and then asks "How do we go about that again?"

"This language has an interesting predilection for the concept of truth. It has quite a few more synonyms for it than other languages I've learned." comments Cal as he studies the tome.
