Brushing himself, Cael joins the rest of the group next to the dead drakes. "So, shall we get the wood and head back to the carving woman?" He is willing to help carry anything back if needed.

Aiming at the last drake, Cael sends another bolt of lightning. Again, the bolt hit the drake, leaving burnt mark on its scales.

Cael continues to slowly get closer. Again, he gathers energy from all around him. The smell of ozone gets more pronounced as he built up the small ball in his hand of electric energy. Looking over to the drake, he smiles with a wicked way. "You are next!" In a flash, the ball of energy becomes a long and jagged bolt of lightning, hitting the creature.

Now overflowing with elemental energy, Cael moves slightly forward. He focuses for a second, surrounding himself within a dome of lightning that quickly shrink around his hand. He then looks at the nearest drake and releases it towards it. It takes only a fraction of a second for the lightning to go of his hand to the drake.

Slowly getting bored with the guarding task, Cael hopes that something happens soon. Just as if someone heard his though, the small drakes finally showed up. He aims for the closest one and releases a bolt of pure lightning from his hand. The bolt hit the drake directly in the chest.

"Here they are! You men grab your wounded and hide somewhere."

Did I just heard the LG monk suggesting using civilians as baits??? :P

"Fine, fine... If you want to bring them, do it. But I'm not going to throw myself in harms way to prevent one of them from getting killed by their own stupidity." Cael walks a bit to the side and look at the edge of the forest, waiting for the rest to make a decision and move on.

Looking at the group of men, Cael raises an eyebrow. "I'm not sure bringing a group with us would be the best idea. The last thing we need is babysitting a bunch of non-combatants."

"Never needed to learn how to track, so that's a no from me. Though from my understanding, the creatures attack anyone walking in the wood, so we might not need to look for them." Cael close his eyes for a second and crackling arcs of lightning appears on him. Also, his hair and clothes move as if there is a strong wind blowing, but yet seem to only affect him. "Okay, I'm ready to go."

Activating my Elemental Defense, don't know if it will help, but I suppose it can't hurt either.

Enveloping Winds:

Enveloping Winds: You constantly surround yourself with a whirling torrent of air, crackling arcs of lightning, or both to protect yourself from ranged attacks. All ranged attacks made with physical weapons suffer a 20% miss chance against you, except for attacks from massive weapons such as a giant's thrown boulder or a ballista. This ability has no effect on ray attacks. The miss chance increases by 5% for every 5 kineticist levels you possess beyond 2nd. By accepting 1 point of burn, you can increase the miss chance by 5% until the next time your burn is removed. You can continue to accept points of burn to increase the miss chance further, up to a maximum of 75%. Whenever you accept burn while using an air wild talent, the energy surging through you causes your enveloping winds to also affect non-physical ranged attacks such as ray attacks for 1 round. You can dismiss or restore this effect as an immediate action.

Cael stands back with Rikkivar. There was no point of having multiple people talking to the old woman to complete this task. Actually, I wonder why they send us all on this task. It's not like the masthead will be ready this instant. As he wonders about that, Cael starts looking at carved support posts.

Cael wakes up at the sound of the bell and look out of the window. Two small boat? A black crow haloed by a delicate crown... We never asked if she had a symbol to recognize her ship by... Let's go check this out then. He gets dressed and grab his stuff. On the way out, he takes whatever food the can and eats it on the way over. When he sees anyone from the group, he heads toward them. "Morning all! Anyone seen our Captain so far?"

"From the way she was eyeing Morgana, I don't think you have the right gear for that encounter." He gives the group a big grin and start picking up his stuff. That should keep him away from the Captain for a while. He then heads out to the private rooms, trying to find one where he will be comfortable.

Cael moves forward. "I'm here because I could use the work. If there is a treasure at the end of this, then so much the better." He looks down at the manifest, grabs the ink pen and sign his name. "I'm a decent sailor and if something gets in the way. I can fry it from a distance. I'm ready to leave when you give the order."

Well, since it's a amulet of natural armor, and K'Wai and you are our front liner, it make sense that you get them.

I'm more of a ranged figther anyway, zapping people with my [insert code for red font] "Sith" [/insert code for red font] Lightning!

Loot wise, Kineticist don't seem to need a lot to be functional. Magical light armor, belt of constitution and cloak of resistance are pretty much the basic. So I'm up for whatever system you guys want to go for.

"I wouldn't mind some healing potions, if there is any left. Also the tanglefoot bags are always useful." Looking over the rest of the stuff, Cael doesn't really find anything that interest him. "Humm. Maybe I should grab that sap. Just I case we get into another brawl where we don't want to kill people."

So, that should give me 3 tanglefoot bags, a masterwork sap, 1 cure moderate wounds, 1 cure serious wounds and the 424 gold. We should sell all the mudane stuff that no one claim, but someone should keep the spear since it's magical.

Cael follows the rest of the group upstairs, not knowing what to expect up there. He stays in the back of the group, with his less than stellar performance in the race, he doesn't really feel like he should be with the winners.

Cael takes the hit directly in the gut. He doubled over, catching the arm of the man with free hand. For a second it looks like he is out of the fight, but then he lifts up his head and looks at the thug straight in the eyes. "Got ya!" Still holding the man's arm. Cael circles around and with a good swing, he brings the pommel of his dagger to the side of the Darryl's head. Even though he didn't use the blade part, the impact still draws some blood.

Cael is finally able to get inside of the building. Looking at the situation inside, he is not sure what he sees. "What's going on here? No one said anything about a fight." Looking a bit closer, Cael notices that the thug are armed with wooden sap and that not one of the other contestant are using lethal force. "Umm... this is a problem. I have nothing with me that non-lethal damage." As he draws his dagger and try holding it in a way to hit with the pommel, he jumps down in the pit behind the Orc. He then aims for the base of the skull of the Orc, hoping to do enough damage to knock him out of the battle.

Cael looks for the Dicer Roller programmer and goes full Sith lightning on his rear end. I might turn to the Dark side for this, but it will be worth it. And beside, they have cookies... ;)

Ok, let's try this.

Round 1

When the woman fires her pistol, Cael starts running as fast as he can. He didn't want to be trampled over by the crowd. Finding a small opening in the crowd, he jumps pass a few people, managing to stay with the lead group.

Going through the street of the town create a funnel effect, Cael can't seem to find a way to avoid it. Losing time, got the get away from this. He keeps an eye on any side street he could use. He wastes a lot of time trying to get out of there, to the point that he gets discouraged. Eventually, though, he does manage to find a way and continue on with the race. But at this point he rather feels like what's the point.

Up ahead, he can see the bridge jamed pack with people. Got to be a easier way. A quick look around allows him to find a broken bridge. I should be able to make that. He changes direction and head over there. He easily jumps a good part of the gap. Turning his jump into a dive, he swims the rest of the way. Feeling good about that part, he walks straight into an ambush. They keep pushing him down again and again. Preventing him any progress and laughing at him the entire time, until he gets upset. "Enough!" Releasing some lightings, makes them quickly back away.

At this point, Cael isn't caring much. He finally gets into the harbor, but with all the people in front of him, there is no way he's going to be first. When someone shows up next to him, trying to push him in the water, he just turns and bend in a way to make the other guy fall in instead. "F$@¢ off!"

Finally, with the end in sight, Cael speeds up the pace. At least I won't be the last one there. Dodging here and there, he avoids the people blocking the way in. After a frustrating run, he manages to get to the second floor and like he though, he ain't the first one there.

From his seat, Cael looks up at the man. "Thank you. Hopefully, I'll do better in the race." He exchanges some gold for the medicine with the man. He then drinks it and stand to follow the people he meet on the ship. Man that was awful. That medicine is helping though, feeling a bit better now. So what do we have here? He walks near the rest of the group, trying to understand the next event is about.

Cael looks at the drinks, not knowing what is what, he picks one at random. He takes a tankard with what look like regular ale. He downs it pretty easily and pass to the next one. The next one is a glass of some sort of green liquid. Smell a bit minty, drinking it leave a fresh taste in his mouth and he looks rather happy about his choice. Then come the third drink. It smells fruity and almost looks like regular juice. After drinking it, he realises it's a bit stronger than the others but now too bad. "Hey, let's try this again." For round four he takes the same drinks. Well, maybe I should go with the easy stuff, this is a competition.

The next one is coming in medium glass filled with some blue stuff. That look nice, maybe it will go down easy. For some reason, it tastes like orange... Blue Oranges? He is puzzled by the taste but moves on. Drink number six is the nutty smelling brew. Not bad, maybe I should learn the name of that one. For round seven, he grabs a small glass of a clear liquid. It burns the entire way down, but he is holding it there. Argh! What was that... Never again!

Having a harder time focusing, he grabs the next one. The mix of alcohol plus the combination of different taste as the better of him. Quickly turning around, he empties his stomach behind the keg he uses as a stool. Wiping his mouth, he tries to sit back up only to fall off the keg. "Sor... Sooo... Sorry..." Sadly, that's all he can take on that game.

Hearing some voice he recognized, Cael tries to make his way through the crowd. Is small frame, however doesn't help much as people pretty much ignore his pleas to get by. In spite of this he still manages to get closer and he can almost see the head priest. If only he could get by that large man in front of him.

"Excuse me, Sir, could I get through?" After a few tries, the annoyed big man finally turns to Cael. "Oh! What's wrong little squirt, you want to try your luck, well, by all means!" Before Cael could move aside, the big man just grabs him and sent him flying toward the group of contestants. While the flight part wasn't voluntary, Cael is able to twist and turn his body gracefully in the air and nail a perfect landing right between the Priest and the rest of the group. Looking for the brute that manhandled him, Cael doesn't realises that he now looks like he just entered the contest.

With the dead silence of everyone looking at him, he finally realise where he is. Turning around, he looks up at the Priest. "Oh! Uh... Hi!"

Cael finishes up his duty on the ship before disembarking. Thanking the Captain, he then gathers his stuff and tries to make his way to the nearest inn, hoping to find some room left. As he walks, he makes sure to stay alert. This might be a friendly place, but he's been lifting enough purses in Magnimar to know that this is the perfect time to do it. Walking the streets, the smell of food makes him stop at a few carts here and there, trying out some of it.

His style of clothes has been always to be comfortable and being able to melt into the crowd. Unfortunately, this is not the case today. His simple clothes seem to be just that, too simple. While everyone is colorful and wearing masks, he looks like what he is, a sailor that just got off work. Realizing this, Cael start picking colorful accessories from people he passes in the street. Using his instinct to find easy marks. Lastly, he grabs a mask that was left unattended and adjust it over his head. Looking more like he belongs there, Cael continues going around the inns.

Hello all.

Like I said in an earlier post, I am currently GMing three games here. Two of those games currently have room for one player. I'm offering it to you guys here before heading to the general public. I wouldn't say that I am as good than GM Advocate, but I think I keep thing interesting.

Here are the games if you want to take a look.

1- Rannik's Carrion Crown
We are at the end of book three. The characters are level 8. Currently in the group we have a Wizard, a Rogue, an Oracle and a Monk/Inquisitor. The player that left is the Tank Paladin. Any new character that would gain would be after the last battle of the book, which they are near of. If you want, you could play the Paladin until we can fit your new character in later on.

2- Rannik's Crypt of the Everflame
This one is a series of modules. They just completed the Crypt of the Everflame and they will move forward into the Dragon's Demand. There will be lot's of modification to that one to fit the narrative that I have planned. So if you have played before, it's not really a problem. In the group we have a Bloodrager, a Warpriest and an Inquisitor. There is a new player that also just got recruited. Last he told me, he was doing an Kineticist, still waiting to see what will come out of that.

Anyway, let me know if you are interested and what game you want to join.
