K'Wai slips a small vial from his pouch and downs the liquid within, before slipping his backpack with the crossbow attached and his spear to the ground.

"Or, you know, man, like just step aside and let us through. We did just, like, win this race, right? Wouldn't your captain be happy to have us on board, man?"

Drinking a potion of mage armor, then losing my backpack and weapons save the dagger. Not that I'll need that, anyways.

"But, like, if you wanna fight, then, I guess we can fight, man."

Taking a firm fighting stance, K'Wai brings his hands up and readies to tussle.

AC +4 for 1 hour.

As Zeex dashes past the two half orcs they extend there arms to snatch the goblin but to no avail. He quickly dodges their outstretched arms and strides up the stairs. 'Blasted Goblin,"Huldren shouts as he watches Zeex nimbly dodge his henchmen and escape. He quickly turns back to K'wai and points towards the hardened pit located in the center of the floor, "Hold on little blue man, we have a place to handle matters such as this, step in if you think you are strong enough, we don't kill in these fights, but I will knock you senseless." He unlatches some of the ropes and motions for you to enter. "After you," he gives you a crooked smile.

Rikkivar when you arrive you see what I just layed out, you see Zeex reach the top of the stairs and you see Huldren and his bodies inviting him into the pit. It looks to be a 3 vs 1.

As you crest the top of the stairs you see a man sitting at a table, half asleep with a bottle in his lap, he is startled by your appearance, Ah you one of them racers ain' you. You got here first, a goblin, well sorry to say I do enjoy me a good fight every once in a while, why don't you scamper on back down them stairs land rat, and beat up Huldren, so I can tell if you really do be deserving a spot on the crew."

K'Wai bows to the big man, slipping another vial out of his pouch and palming it.

What you are doing is smart, I will have the two half orcs enter and at that time Morganna will show as well, so it is starting to even out. I was a little worried about a true 3 vs 1

Oh, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Hoping a few stuns will even up the odds, plus with fighting defensively & mage armor, my AC is 25, which is pretty respectable.

Rikkvar shakes off the river water and says, "Well, you've got me on muscle. Remember when your mother said, 'Don't touch that! You don't know where it's been'? She was talking about me. I suggest you let me pass. It'll hurt you less." He then starts slowly walking forward to the stairs, with a big old grin on his face.

Standard action to reactivate toxic secretions. Then a move. At least it keeps all of them from focusing on one person.


The man really wants you to fight Huldren, I am going to cut to the chase cause no matter what happens the fight has to occur. If you delay a few more rounds eventually the Captain herself shows up and orders you to fight. So even if you intimidate him it won't result in anything but delaying the inevitable. Rikkivar you are going to get basically the same response Zeex did, except you actually are a land rat.


The two half orcs step into the pit and draw wooden saps, Huldren stands waiting. As Rikkivar walks past Huldren notes the toxins covering his body and stands clear.

Zeex sticks his tongue out at the old man, "You old and stoopid." he says as a parting insult.

He walks downstairs, drawing his scimitar as he descends. "No be afraid, K'wai.. me here to save you!" he says bravely. He hops into the pit and stands by the undine's side, brandishing his little blade.


Huldren notices Zeex as he descends and sees the flash of light from his steel, "Careful little goblin I don't want to have to get rough with you but I will if you make things bloody." He turns to K'wai, "Nice potion you got their, I have one of those as well," He pulls out a small vial, downs it and steps into the pit. "I don't got all day, I will take you all on," he says menacingly as he gets in a fighting stance.

I have never really messed around with online maps but here comes a try, click this link to view the map, should be able to edit so move as you wish. Rikkivar and Morganna I left you outside but you can in to where K'wai and Zeex are in one move action.

Rikki will climb down and begin to move around the edge. He stands ready to attack anybody that attacks him. For now, he's using their reticence to attack him to manipulate the battlefield.

Zeex takes the initiative and moves up to Huldren and the half-0rc on the left, and attacking the half-orc with his scimitar, though only using the flat of the blade...

if anyone attacks and misses Zeex:

Underfoot Assault (Ex): At 1st level, if a foe whose size is larger than the mouser’s is adjacent to her and misses her with a melee attack, the mouser can as an immediate action spend 1 panache point to move 5 feet into an area of the attacker’s space. This movement does not count against the mouser’s movement the next round, and it doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity. While the mouser is within a foe’s space, she is considered to occupy her square within that foe’s space.

While the mouser is within her foe’s space, the foe takes a –4 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks not made against the mouser, and all of the mouser’s allies that are adjacent to both the foe and the mouser are considered to be flanking the foe. The mouser is considered to be flanking the foe whose space she is within if she is adjacent to an ally who is also adjacent to the foe. The mouser can move within her foe’s space and leave the foe’s space unhindered and without provoking attacks of opportunity, but if the foe attempts to move to a position where the mouser is no longer in its space, the movement provokes an attack of opportunity from the mouser. This deed replaces opportune parry and riposte.

Carl stumbles backwards momentarily shaken by the blow delivered by Zeex. "Stupid goblin I will make you pay for that," he shouts as he recovers and attempts to grab Zeex. He firmly wraps his arms around the little Goblin holding him in place.
Zeex you are now grappled, he does have improved grapple so no AOO

I hope you don't mind, I dropped a 30ftx30ft grip on your map to help with movement. I can always help with that, I run 3 games on the forum here and I kinda like messing around with maps.

actually adhesive spittle is a standard action to cast (or drink) and it's a standard action to spit (written into the spell), so while the rolls should stand, the actual spit shouldn't happen til next round - I know, I use this spell all the time with my investigator. Text from the spell: "Once during this spell’s duration, you can spit a viscous liquid as a standard action."


Thanks for catching that Zeex, but you are right he will still fail next round if that is what you choose to do Rikkivar.

Zeex squawks in surprise when he's grabbed and bites at the hands holding him... that's just fluff - he doesn't really have a bite attack

"Lemme go... bad green longshanks... " *bite* *bite *wiggle* *bite*


I just saw it Cael, thank you so much and please feel free to edit them whenever you want. I am probably the least experienced when it comes to map building and any help is appreciated. Morganna is still up.

Summon monster is a full round action so it will appear on your initiative next turn I believe. Cael if the combat is not over in 2 rounds I will hand waive you in


Huldren looks over at the goblin squirming in Carl's hands, "Firm grip ain't it" he turns to K'wai and charges at him swinging with his sap. He looks dumbfounded as his sap is redirected by some unseen force. Darryl yells out and grimaces at you inspiring intimidation, he then moves next to you and bares his fist.

K'Wai unleashes a wave of strikes and maneuvers, going for a gut punch on the sap wielding bravo and an elbow smash on the boss fellow.

Flurry of blows, first is a stunning fist. DC 16 fort or be stunned for 1 round .

1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 2 = 15 to hit; DC 16 fort or stunned on sap dude. 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4 bludgeoning damage

Zeex wriggles til he can bring his scimitar up to slice upwards into Carl, though at the last moment, he turns the blade so it does not actually cut him, just bruise him.

"Let... Zeex.... GO!"

To add insult to injure he bites him again, [ooc]though again, since he has no bite attack, that's just fluff[/oioc]


Zeex finds his position awkward as he can't seem to get his arm to wear he can swing effectively, his attempt ends in a light tap. He grips you firmer with his left as he hits you quickly with his right.
Grapple Mantain: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Nonlethal Damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Rikkivar unloads a spit bomb on Darryl as he struggles to move he curses you, Stupid Rat he struggles against the adhesive but to no avail.
Adhesive Length: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5

Zeex for the record you are also -2 on attack rolls from the grappled condition but he is -4 on dex so it doesn't really matter. Rikkivar you have a move action, Morgana your viper appears and it is your turn as well, be careful if that viper attacks lethally they will likely go lethal as well

Appears that the Viper was meant to act immediately on my turn according to the spell description. Whoops. Lucky as well though, don't want these guys turning hostile. She doesn't use it very much, guess she kind of got overwhelmed in the moment by the adorable snake.

Uh oh... looks like I also can't control it and it just attacks whatever enemy is closest.

Morgana looks at the scene in front of her, at the Viper (whom she is certain is about to get stepped on and die), at her crossbow No chance of non-lethal there thinks about getting out her shortspear before shaking her head.

I do not want to get in that ring...

"Look out for the snake! Its bite is poisonous!"

She begins to cast Enthrall, but disguises at an attempt to be a peacekeeper by talking about her mysterious homeland.

"They are common in my homeland, so anti-venom is readily available. Just don't move to suddenly."

I am so sorry, little friend, I wasn't thinking. I hope they kill you quickly


It is going to be hard to give you that, they are in the middle of combat and I don't think enthrall would work in this situation, if other players are willing to weigh in here I might have my mind changed.


Darryl strains at the adhesive spittle trying to free himself but to no avail, he is no match for the strength of the bonds. He stands their panting as Huldren renews his attack on K'wai hoping to power through his unseen forcefield. As he brings it down he manages to find a gap as his blow hits home.

Strength check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Sap Attack Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
K'wai you are up and have 8 nonlethal, you are no longer shaken.

K'Wai returns the strike twice over, stunning fist attempt on the first one.

Seeing as everyone is ignoring her, her spell fails.

The Viper attacks the nearest enemy in her turn anyway. And is the pit that massive? Like each square is 30ft!? If that's the case then the viper moves towards the guy with the club 20ft


It is 30ft across will post an update later tonight, I am in my kingmaker game.


The snake moves towards Huldren and lashes out with its fangs, it manages to latch on to his ankle distracting him from the blow K'wai delivers. As your fist lands on Huldren you put a little more into it as he falls to the ground stunned at the force. You then precede to hit him again landing a blow on his back.

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Snake Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Poison Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

The snake does no damage and he saved against poison, he is stunned K'wai and both attacks landed. Top of the initiative and Cael you arrive and will act before Huldren so your initiative is effectively an 11
