Given the current world events my group, like many others has taken our game online. We were really excited to get started with a new campaign and begin Extinction Curse but these maps are killing me.

At first I thought perhaps it was just limited to the adventure path PDF so I picked up the interactive map pack and it's honestly no better, these maps are pretty much worthless for VTT play. In particular the map on page 18 of The Show Must Go On which details the four locales. What am I meant to do with that? It's the size of a postage stamp when extracted from both the AP pdf and the Interactive Map pdf and blowing up an image that small to a point where it's useable results in trying to play a game on what looks like a Monet painting.

Has anyone from the community put together their own maps for this yet?

Guys, you know I love you but I really can't get behind this sheet at all. I just don't like it and I'm already anxious to give this out to my players. I've been "in design" for 20 years and this goes against so much of what I've learned in that time, I don't know how it was signed off on.

Who did the Playtest sheet? That person should have been asked to do this one. I know somebody probably put a lot of work into this and I'm really not trying to sound mean, it's just not the look or feeling I think PF2 deserves.

At least you've given me a summer project! I'll be throwing my hat into the redesign ring too.

Not entirely sold on the design of that sheet but perhaps it looks better when it's not s blurry mess ;)

Aaaaand I've added subtitles. Hopefully that's better for everyone who needs them :)

Ah, sorry @Ravingdork. You know, I didn't even consider that and I really should have. Let me see if there's anything I can do!

Here's an interactive Datapad I made for Salask in pt.2 of Dead Suns. Ideal viewing on a computer but it does work on a phone/tablet so long as you're prepared to scroll :)

Thanks for the endorsement :)

I don't think it's been forgotten about in the least. The second adventure path is nearing its completion, the next one will give us a space horror campaign and the one after that is an epic that will see us journey into the sun.

We're receiving monthly releases for APs, the SFS content, map packs, pawn boxes, Alien Archive 2 on the horizon and the beginner box! I don't know about you but I'm just about keeping up.

The negativity surrounding the beginner box is strange, more eyes on the product and more people playing will surely alleviate any doubts you have over how active the game is? Besides, in my experience the adventures included in starter products across multiple RPGs have always been alot of fun.

Didn't Armoury also sell out almost instantly? Less doom.and gloom guys! Theres always going to be excitement over the new shiny but Starfinder is doing well from what I can see.

Hey, so I put this together as an introduction for Reach of the Empire. It does contain some minor spoilers so keep that in mind if you're going to be playing in the campaign!

Glad I could be of service!

If anyone's interested in using this, the actual link is here:

Dr. Solstarni's Computer

Just keep a few things in mind, this is not meant to be used on phones/tablets and probably won't work. If you have a laptop or a desktop using Chrome or Edge browsers you're golden. It does work in Internet Explorer but not as well... Anything else is a no go. Sorry Firefox.

Also, I intended to use this for my home game only. So I won't be really providing any tech support or help with it - if it works for you though and you want to use it, please feel free.

So I've been making video props for my home game for sometime, we're currently playing through the Dead Suns adventure path and my group is soon to start book 2.

Part of that book has the players access a computer terminal to find some emails. I thought it'd be fun to see if I could build an actual system they could play with... and here it is. I will have this on my laptop, once the players access the computer I'll cast it to my TV and pass the laptop to the player doing the "hacking" so everyone can see what they're doing.

Dr Solstarni's Computer

There are a few other video props on my channel, if they're of use to you or your game in anyway then please feel free to use them!

I got to hold it and flip through it at a UK Games Con...

Ahhh that makes perfect sense! Thanks!

If a character is to multiclass when he levels, does he take a feat being that the new class is level 1?

For example a level 1 Soldier levels up and takes a level in Technomancer, does he get a feat due to the Technomancer being level 1? Also, how does it work going forward in regards to feats? Would he obtain then the moment either class levels to an odd level?

If you have the StarWars Imperial Assault Boardgame you get a number of 3D door pawns in the box ;)

I figured as much with the flexibility, I'm just prepping our first proper session (we played Into the Unknown as a taster) and suddenly felt very overwhelmed! I just know some systems have very rigid maths so I didn't want to start messing with things that were going to be hugely detrimental later on.

So having never played Pathfinder and being strictly a 5e guy (boo! Hiss!) I'm a little perplexed about the skill DC's presented in Starfinder.

As a GM am I really expected to remember what the DC is for a character who's attempting an acrobatics check to balance on a 6 inch beam whilst in windy conditions? Am I meant to commit to memory what the formula for working out the DC for a PC to use an acrobatics check to bypass taking an attack of opportunity on a threatened square is?

Coming from 5e I'm beginning to feel like they'll never be a time where I don't have the rulebook open, marked with sticky tabs on dozens of pages. Is this normal?

5e leaves much of these DC's to the DM to decide, whereas Starfinder has hard coded rules and maths for everything. Surely I'm okay to just streamline much of this procedure by determining DC's using my own initiative, right?

Thanks for that, appreciate the responses! They were heading into the Downlow district and wanted to know if they were going to be targeted for their association with the Society. That then sparked a discussion about how much they were able to get away with and if they were immune to the laws.

Hey guys,

I'm about to run Dead Suns for my group, we're all new to Paizo products and during an intro session where we played 'Into the Unknown' a question came up I couldn't answer.

Where does the Starfinder Society fit in with regards to local law enforcement, especially on Absalom Station? Are they seen as equal to the stewards? Above them? Do the stewards view them as interfering? What about the public perception? Are they respected? Viewed as good/bad guys?

Like I said, we're new to Paizo so I'm not sure if this was cleared up in Pathfinder with the Pathfinder Society but I can't seem to find any details.

Thanks :)

Thanks, Sharaya - appreciate the response :)

Hey guys,

Just wanted to double check I've done the right thing here. I've just finished GMing my group through our campaign and we're about to embark on adventures within Starfinder. I've had all the books since they came out but I've only noticed today that my Core Rulebook has failed a con save and it's binding is coming away.

I know it's been a while since the book's release but I've literally just had it sat on a shelf waiting for our campaign to wrap up. Is there anything at all that can be done?

I've sent an email to the customer services email address (from the address associated with this account) with pictures of the binding and I'm now at your mercy.

Help me, Paizo-Wan Starnobi. You're my only hope.
