I think a good party of 6 would be. Tank/melee 2
I think there should be a good balance of skills between the roles so I don't necessarily believe that "Skilled" is its own category. For example, we have a bunch of monk submissions. They can fulfill the melee role as well as do all the acrobatics, jumping, and perception/sense motive. The sorcerer can be a great buff/debuffer while also being the party face. One of the buffers should definitely be a divine caster though. Just my 2cp.
Dimitrious Black wrote: I brain farted on the Arcana 8>), I have never seen that cantrip, but I am all over protective penumbra at 2nd level. Yeah. Penumbra as a cantrip has the same spell duration but without the +2 saves. You can cast it all day though. Nice to have that +1CL without burning a 2nd level spell slot.

Lol. Don't think I'll ever catch up to a halfling shadow sorcerer in stealth. Definitely a great asset to any party. BTW, how come your Know (arcana) is only +3? Wouldn't it be +4 = 1 (rank) + 3 (class skill)? Also, if you don't mind me suggesting, there's a cantrip called Penumbra which I think would really fit with your character, if the GM allows rare cantrips.

Missed Brother Stelin, Plumekith Qinggong Zen Archer of Irori!
That's what I was hoping for ref crafting! Please let me know what you think of my fluff. Background:
You could say Reginald did not have a typical childhood. Found abandoned by a cousin of Hobart Deverin, the family quickly recognized that the boy was touched by Outsider blood. Reginald spent his entire youth doted and fawned upon, especially once his innate talents began manifesting itself. His adopted family pushed Reggie to hone his control of magic, bringing in the best tutors and providing rare books of knowledge.
Alyria (Reggie’s adopted mother): Cousin, you shouldn’t push him so hard. He is but a boy.
Perhaps the Deverin family saw how his natural affinity to magic might benefit the clan one day in the future. Due to his Peri blood, Reggie always held a rapt fascination with fire. He was drawn to flames like a moth. One night when he was about 10 years old, while staring into the cooking fire tended by his mother, he accidentally sparked the flames, creating a stream of thick smoke that filled the room. Panicking and not knowing what to do, the young Reggie ran out of the room, confused and disoriented with only a slight impact from the smoke. Unfortunately, his adopted mother was not so lucky and was severely injured by the smoke. With tears streaming down his face as he clutched his unconscious mother’s body, Reggie vowed to suppress his fiery desires, even while continuing his study of the arcane arts. Eventually, his memories of fear and terror from that night dampened as Reginald’s mother recovered, but not his resolve to fight his inner yearnings. That night also took a physical toll on him as well as it left him with a frail and weak body. Because of his lack of strength, Reggie redoubled his efforts in focusing his mind to absorb as much knowledge as possible. As he reached adulthood, Reggie now understands why his family pushed him. As he feels the power of magical energy coursing through his body, he thinks to himself, “Master Hobart was right. I am special. I am destined for greatness. “ Personality:
Reginald has a kind heart and a gentle soul. However, as he grew up, all he heard was how beautiful he was and how special he is. So despite his good looks, he tends to think very highly of himself, and at a subconscious level, feels everyone else is beneath him at an intellectual level. This may also be because he is very sensitive about his lack of physical prowess. However, most people overlook the sometimes insulting offhand comments he might make because he does genuinely care and is fiercely loyal to his friends.
Having been raised in a life of luxury, Reggie has an almost phobic disdain to the dirt, sweat, and filth of normal society, especially adventurers. He constantly keeps himself clean and seeks clean environments while avoiding dirty nastiness. It’s just “ugh,” y’know? Once taken as a friend, Reggie is extremely loyal, willing to assist whenever necessary. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to tell him how great he is to invigorate additional effort. However, if someone has been deemed unworthy of Reginald’s attention, then he will maintain a cordial attitude but will most likely refrain from any but the most necessary interactions. Appearance: Reggie has thin bones and is sorely missing muscles of any kind. However, he is surprisingly agile and tough. He keeps his head shaved; the only hair on his head is a long, white braided beard on his chin. His skin is of a reddish tone, exhibiting his Peri blood. Reggie usually just wears a simple robe of various colors (his favorite are green, blue, and silver) that he keeps meticulously clean, either through laundering or magic.
Do you allow alternate race traits? I have an Emberkin (Peri-blooded Aasimar) Void Elemental Wizard concept. Reginald Arken:

I may adjust traits based on your answer to this question. How do you handle item crafting? Is my character able to craft his own magical items? Emberkin:
Peri-Blooded (Emberkin)
Masters of fire magic, emberkin feel the dual pull of their peri forebear as well as that of a fallen angel further down their ancestry, and wrestle with their urges to do both good and evil. Ancestry Peri Typical Alignment Ng
Emberkin reveal their divine heritage through their skill with fire-based magic and their desire to repent for others’ sins. Many emberkin suffer from frequent nightmares and strange impulses to commit spontaneous acts of evil. They typically have igneous features such as wispy auburn hair and bright yellow eyes, and a rare few are born with albino skin. emberkin often feel an insatiable need to continually perform acts of good. Some are content to perform small acts of kindness at home, though they may feel driven to travel regularly in order to find pockets of true evil that they can eradicate. Like all aasimars, emberkin are not necessarily compelled to embrace good and justice. Perhaps more so than most of their celestial kith, emberkin have a propensity to revolt against their benevolent predisposition and instead follow a darker path. Perhaps these emberkin are evil by nature, or perhaps it is a remnant of their fallen angel ancestry. Either way, such wicked individuals are often dangerous, and are both pitied and hunted down by their aasimar brethren. Will create alias if accepted.
I have an Emberkin (Aasimar) Void Elementalist Wizard but the Void Elemental school is from Dragon Empires. I can send you the sheet or you can check it out on the PFSRD http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/arcane-schools/paizo--- arcane-schools/elemental-arcane-schools/void-elemental-school

Hi. I'm a newbie when it comes to PbP and this looks interesting. Is it too late to submit? If not, without ado, I would like to submit Brother Stelin. Background:
Brother Stelin knows not his origins. He was found at the steps of the Church of Irori in Almas, abandoned and alone, a swaddled bundle of green skin and feathery hair. The clerics at the Church brought the unique child to a nearby monastery where the Monks taught him to pursue self-perfection and knowledge above all else.
As Stelin developed, the Brothers at the monastery quickly realized that he had been touched by Outsider blood, causing his unique appearance. The Brothers of Irori helped Stelin hone his natural abilities and gain better control of his powers through personal discipline and meditation. Throughout his time in isolated training, Stelin never stopped ceasing to wonder about his origins. He knew he was not from Andoran and that he was not destined to spend his life in the monastery. Upon reaching of age, and gaining the title of "Brother of Irori," Stelin set out to further his quest for enlightenment and seek answers about his heritage. Eventually, he joined a group that called themselves the Golarian Pathmasters, led by Sapphire White. Despite their many successes, forevermore, any mention of that group, or even the word "sapphire" will bring Brother Stelin to that fateful day in Magnimar. He can still smell Sapphire's burning flesh from that weapon. It was enough to make anyone lose faith. For awhile, Stelin even dropped the title of Brother when introducing himself, if he spoke to anyone at all. He rededicated his efforts to honing his skills, partially blaming himself for the tragedy of the Pathmasters, vowing to never allow such a horrible fate to befall upon another comrade or friend. It's much easier to keep that vow without any friends. One day, and he still does not know how, a letter from one of his former companions reached him. With a sigh, Stelin read the letter. Setting the letter down, Stelin's face hardened with resolve. This can only be a sign from Irori, he thought to himself. Here is an opportunity to atone for his previous failure. He must do everything in his power to make things right again, if only so he can continue his tortured journey towards enlightenment. Brother Stelin packed his few meager belongings, grabbed his bow, and set off once again into the unknown. Appearance: Brother Stelin has emerald green skin with eyes of amber. His facial features are very sharp and angled. His pointy nose and chin are reminiscent of a bird's beak. Stelin's hair is in tufts with a texture like the body of a parrot or other fluffy bird. Finally, his fingernails are longer than normal humans, almost resembling talons. Brother Stelin disdain's dirtiness or unfit appearances so he is always dressed in clean and pressed scholar's outfits or monk's robes. Whenever something soils his clothes or skin, he uses prestidigitation to clean the filth away. Personality: Brother Stelin normally keeps to himself, preferring silence and observation, but will provide insight and guidance if asked. He views the world through a lens of stoicism that only life in a monastery can provide. One of the few times his eyes brighten is when presented with new knowledge or source of learning. Stelin eagerly soaks up all he can find, especially anything regarding good Outsiders. Brother Stelin

Magical Talent (magic): Choose one 0 level spell and you can cast it once per day. (Prestidigitation) Reactionary (combat): +2 to initiative Scholar of the Great Beyond (faith): You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (history) and Knowledge (planes) checks, and one of these skills (planes) is always a class skill for you. Wisdom in the Flesh (Irori):Select any Strength-, Constitution-, or Dexterity-based skill. You may make checks with that skill using your Wisdom modifier instead of the skill's normal ability score. That skill is always a class skill for you. (Stealth) Feats:
1st: Additional Traits
Monk 1: Improved Unarmed Strike Zen 1: Flurry of Blows (bow only) Zen 1: Perfect Strike Zen 1: Precise Shot Zen 2: Point-Blank Shot Zen 2: Weapon Focus (longbow) 3rd: Deadly Aim Monk 3: Fast Movement 10' Zen 3: Zen Archery (Wis to hit with bows) Brother Stelin has taken a Vow of Cleanliness. This is just for flavor unless you allow Zen Archers to take monk vows. Otherwise, he just uses prestidigitation to clean himself should he become dirty. He carries a Wand of Prestidigitation if you allow the Brother to use it since the spell is a known spell to him. I hope there is still room. If not, any suggestions or comments on this backstory is still welcome. EDIT: Also, how will HP be determined? Wealth will be WBL? |
