I hope I am not too late to the party... Questons: Why do you want to be considered? I have been recently watching a lot of Bob Hope comedy movies from the 40's along with a lot of the movies mentioned. Which role do you want to submit for? Mage What would your basic crunch approach be (class, feats/weapons, etc). You won’t be locked into this - but just to get an idea of what you are thinking. Just want to know how you are going to make this yours. I was thinking of a magician who got their start in vaudeville and is collecting magical tricks and oddities. Maybe some of the pathfinder spells could be chalked up to props, sleight of hand and hypnotism i.e. charm person, 'create' food & water. etc. If you do incorporate actual magic items into the mix, it could be some thing as simple as that cheap wand he bought at the run-down magic store is the real deal. 2e or 1e? Is your choice a preference or a deal breaker? 1e & not a deal breaker if not. AP or small adventures? Or other ideas? AP's. Mummy's Mask would be perfect. Describe your character - what do you look like, what’s your personality? How would someone else describe your character? I can see him as a Professor Hinkle from Frosty the Snowman type character. Some tricks and props work while others he is always refining. He is the type of magician that whenever he meets someone new will 'pull' a coin out of their ear.

Hi, I never received order #3926116. The tracking number has it as being transferred to the PO in Windsor, CT. I live in Fishkill, NY which is nowhere near Windsor. I have been asking my local PO where is it and I just keep getting shrugs. Is there any way to get a replacement sent out? Thanks,

I just got my latest AP (GiantSlayer #3) and I noticed that the package did not have 'Do Not Bend' stamped on it. Needless to say, My mail carrier bent it and shoved it into my mailbox along with all the mail accumulated due to the long holiday weekend. Are packages no longer stamped 'Do Not Bend'? If the answer is no, can they be?

I found a replacement Mage, still waiting on the fighter. Hopefully they get the aliases working soon so I can start a new campaign thread. I have sent a request to get this switched to me so I can mark it as inactive and it will no longer show up under your campaigns. In the meantime I am reading through CoT and coming up with a lot of ideas. insert evil GM laugh here!

Melasoul, Thank you so much for reviewing this and all of your suggestions were spot on. As you can see from below, you figured out where I wanted to go with this character.
Melasoul said wrote: You should get profession as a class skill. Every class except Barbarian does. That makes sense. I have made the update. Melasoul said wrote: You should also get at least one knowledge, probably two. I'd probably put engineering and history. That also sounds good too. Melasoul said wrote:
I basically eventually wanted to move my full speed while wearing heavy armor. Not sure why I omitted that line, but I added it back in. I omitted armored swiftness. Melasoul said wrote: The uncanny dodge abilities seem odd for an armored hulk. I'd swap them for the Fortification ability from the Armor Master Fighter Archetype. Basically, it gives you Light Fortification, and eventually Medium Fortification, while wearing armor. I was going with the idea of not being flanked, but I think the fortification would work better and be more realistic then someone wearing heavy armor not being flanked. Melasoul said wrote: Weapon Training: This is oddly specific. Looking at existing fighter archetypes, I'd go with the close combatant ability from the Brawler. In this case that would mean getting weapon training with 'Close Weapons' (see Ultimate Combat) and give a +1 to hit and a +3 to damage. This increases until it reaches +5 to hit and +7 damage. . This sounds exactly what I was going after as long as armor spikes are considered close weapons (I assume that is any melee weapon that doe not have a reach?) Melasoul said wrote: Damage Reduction: This isn't a bad idea, but the Unarmed Fighter Archetype has something that seems more thematic called "Tough Guy" that I've changed slightly and renamed Toughness. I also modified Armor Mastery to be more in line with that new ability. Sounds perfect! I have updated the link with all of your suggestions.

I might be interested. A little bit about me... I have just finished GM'ing a tabletop game of Serpent's Skull so this will be my second time as a GM and my first as an online GM so I would need some patience :) My DM style: 1. This is your game. If there is something that you don't like, let me know. My enjoyment as a GM comes from your enjoyment as players. 2. I admit that I am far from being a rules expert so if there is something you disagree with feel free to post about it in the discussion thread. 3. One downside is that I've spent 14 years as a player, so I still have a 'Player's mentality' when I am playing the 'Bad Guys' which some of my PC's have found for challenging combats. I require max hit points @ each level to help you all compensate. 4. I would like one post a day, but totally understand when RL comes first (as it should). 5. For combats, I would like everyone to post and not wait until the person who is ahead of you in the initiative order to post. If you are last in Initiative and you have an opportunity to post your attack role first, by all means go ahead and do it. Maybe the bad guy will still be alive when it gets to be your 'turn' maybe he won't, but at least no one is waiting and combats drag on forever. (I am playing in 2 PBP's where this is done and it works out quite nicely.) Let me know if you all have any questions for me and/or if I am "hired". To get a sense of my RPing, check out these 2 PBP's I am in:

I am half-way through the backstory. Basically he is going to forgo a weapon and instead have spikes on his armor. I think it might be interesting to have a charachter that really likes to get close and personal, so I want to make sure my grapple, CMB and CMD's are good. I have preliminary stats which I can post tonight to get some feedback on.

I'm still interested. I have off next week so I hope to take all these ideas that are floating around in my head and finally commit them to paper. I think my guy will use his armor as his main weapon. I am thinking he was a blacksmith apprentice that was 'recruited' after his master's smithy was destroyed. If anyone is interested in tying back stories, I'm game.

That is almost exactly what I am looking for. Now to just add some tweaks to it! Thanks Melasoul! By the way, starting this Sunday 9/21 to Sunday 09/28, I will be on a cruise to Bermuda with my wife as we celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary on 9/25. Needless to say, I won’t have any internet connection (the cruise ship charges too much and it’s nice to unplug for a while), so I might have to do this when I get back. I haven’t packed yet and my wife is starting to give me the ‘evil eye’!

OK. I have finally finished reading all the posts in the discussion thread. Wow! This is gonna be fun! On a personal note, the only gaming systems I have played D&D 3.0 & 3.5 and Pathfinder, so I am not familiar with other systems.

I will be running RoW after my current campaign and my players are already asking what are the best classes to play. Without giving spoilers (as I want to direct my players to this thread), what have you found to be the most useful or useless classes for this campaign? I currently have four players.
