I do apologize, I inaccurately recalled how that particular event played out. I'm not saying that the other players are giving flack... Alana didn't really know what the hell was going on either and swiftly became little more than Celestra's girlfriend. Look, it doesn't matter. I don't see anyway that this conversation is going to be productive so I'll just stfu and play.

When you have an enemy you are racing ahead of to save a town, maybe dropping in to the pub isn't the best concept. There were unlimited options to go off and develop story there

That's actually kind of a perfect example of what I mean. We don't have a HQ so I thought that it made sense for us to meet at a centralized location to discuss a plan and delegate tasks. Celestra I think it was mentioned the pub, so that's where I went. I had assumed we'd meet there and those familiar with the area would point out what areas need reinforcements, who needs to be notified etc. etc. Instead, you assumed for Karlan that he would have gone to the barracks, after we said we were at the pub, which of course meant that Kabal would have as well. You separated the group and removed the chance for in game discussion of what to do and who should go where.

I will admit that I haven't put up nearly as much effort lately, I haven't felt like it's been very welcome for some time and thought it best to just try to suck it up and go with the flow. I thought that perhaps since we were starting to talk about complaints, it was a good time to mention my own but I feel like I'm basically being told to stfu and play or leave.

Well to be fair, it's kinda hard to give a damn about a dragon over there when we're faced with enemies that are right in front of us. It doesn't seem like a good idea to let ourselves get distracted from the huge threat we are already facing to worry about the even bigger threat we're about to face, because, well if we get distracted we die. Combat banter is fine and all, but it can't account for the sum total of role play and building relationships. It still doesn't feel like one whole, cohesive group, but two groups clashing as they try to fight enemies together. Bree, Kabal, and Sable being at a distinct disadvantage because they haven't been here since the start and quite frankly still don't really even get what the hell they're doing here and what they're suppose to be doing. Even those story bits you're talking about though, they felt rushed. It's all just felt rushed, a means to an end and not an adventure to be experienced and enjoyed for its own sake.

I will admit that I haven't been very fond of the way that this campaign has gone so far, either. I feel like it's too rushed, even the story feels glossed over in favor for combat. I feel like there isn't always clarity on who it is we're waiting for when we're waiting for someone either. Several times I have noticed people post their action but it wasn't taken by the others to be their action, I guess? So, the game continued to wait for further posts from that player without making it clear that that is what they were waiting for...

You're right, it's been quite some time since I've read the description and it slipped my mind. However, I'm not clear if her regular damage would then be added on a crit? If so: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 I also forgot to add the flanking bonus to the attack rolls.

Seeing that the bears have moved closer to the others, Bree sneaks around the backside of the building and moves into a flanking position before sticking the bear with her dagger.

Hoping that the bears are distracted enough by the flying Karlan, Bree creeps around the edge of the building and moves in next to Celestra. Ready to attack the first bear to come in range. Otherwise, she'll hold position until next round and move into a better position then.

Bree stays where she is and remains quiet, waiting for the heavy hitters to move out so she can shield herself behind them as she finds a way into a flanking position.

Bree keeps up with the party, daggers drawn.

Bree shakes the blood from her dagger as she moves forward to stand near Celestra, waiting to see how the stand off will play out.

Yeah, guess the dice don't like me rolling for Sable. I've got to go out of town tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday sometime. May not be up for posting until Monday. I'll try to post in between now and then if the opportunity arises but I suspect that I might be very brain fried and wanting to do nothing more than lay on my couch and watch Netflix Sunday. If need be, I would prefer for Kabal to post for Bree, but if he is unable someone else please take over.

Well, since Ailetha is ahead of me in initiative I was going to wait and see if she was going to move the group towards the action but I don't want to slow things down and they might be better off moving towards one of the other giants anyway.

Bree rushes out of the shroud of invisibility, and makes her way towards Kabal and the giant he is attacking going wide in attempt to maneuver herself into a flanking position. Double move.

Bree smiles as she watches Kabal charge into battle, "Hmmm. Felt like 12 seconds to me, let's do this."

Sable raises into the air, his raven hair floating behind him as the breeze ruffles the feathers that adorn his clothing. Korax flies beside him onward, and into battle.

A hysterical giggle escapes Bree's mouth at the Paladin's use of such colorful language. She tries to catch herself, putting a hand up to her lips, but another escapes before she is able to regain her usual stoic control. She draws her daggers, twirling them once in her hands, she is ready to move.

I'm fine with that.

"Oh," She chews on her lip for a moment in thought. "Well, shouldn't we be doing something to keep them from getting through?"

Bree looks to Kabal, "Should we have Celestra take us outside the gate? Maybe we can move in on them from the other side or something?"

Were Ailetha and Kabal with Celestra and Bree? I know Sable was, but Shifty assumed Kabal was with Karlan at the barracks and Ailehta wasn't specified.

"Bloody hell. Can't even have five minutes for a drink," Bree begins to head towards the door, drawing daggers along the way when she catches Celestra's words and pauses. Hesitantly, she slips the daggers back home and bracing herself for contact she extends her hand to Celestra, sliding her other hand into Sable's.

Bree likely spends her time waiting in the one place in town she'd feel the most comfortable - the tavern.

Bree can't help but to scoff as she follows the Paladin, "Riddleport? Really? Have you, uh, have you ever been to Riddleport?"

Bree looks around at the calmness of the town before asking Karlan, "Alright, who do we talk to? I'm guessing we shouldn't run around warning every person we see of their impending doom. Unless you're wanting a riot; I'm sure we could find something worth looting in the chaos."

Got a pair of Jaunt Boots and am hanging on to the rest for now. Ready to move forward.

Fearing that the deranged spirit is not going to take kindly to this news, Bree crosses her arms beneath her chest resting her finger tips on the daggers that are now in easy reach. She shifts slightly from foot to foot keeping her knees bent, ready to move quickly if she needs to.

We really don't want to leave this part up to Bree, folks :D Probably best to not let Kabal start talking either, lmfao.

I think he forgot to mention it here, but Dragonblood472 (Sable) is out of commission for a few days at least, his son was born yesterday and so he's doing the new dad thing!

Bree shakes her head in bemusement as Karlan seems to say pretty much the same thing that Kabal just said. She doesn't understand these new people at all, and wishes that Harry had at least stuck around long enough to translate for her. She shrugs her shoulders and starts towards the exit, Kabal's hand still in her own.

Bree allows herself to be pulled away, confusion clearly writ upon her face. She thinks at first that there must be another threat to contend with, so does not complain and readies herself for battle. When instead she realizes that Kabal had pulled her aside for something more personal - and with potential danger so near by - she can't help but to be a little delighted - and concerned with her own reaction.

"What, no, I'm OK with you telling me what to do in battle. I'm use to following your lead. You and Winter are the only ones I pay any mind to in that regard..." Her words break off as he draws her into his embrace. Well trained instincts die hard, if ever at all. There is a brief moment of resistance as she gasps and her body goes rigid, but the man's heady scent soon has her body melting into his; hesitantly she wraps her arms around his waist and gently rests her head against his chest. Feeling awkward and unsure of herself she tries to shut her mind up and just find comfort in the moment.

After a few quiet seconds, she mumbles into his chest, "Kabal? Why aren't we killing the hags? Aren't we suppose to be killing them? I don't understand... and it's not just me, they are hideous looking, right?"

"Maybe they can somehow stop the attack the other spoke about?"

Feeling frustrated by all the chatter, and confused by the lack of action, Bree leans in to quietly whisper to the more friendly of the groups two moral compasses. "Celestra, so um, ah are we not suppose to be killing them or what?"

Bree sticks to the shadows the best she can, watching and listening. Waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

Bree shifts around uneasily, "Well, if we're going to finish up in this place before going anywhere else there isn't any sense in standing around talking about it..."

"I've had worse," Bree says looking over what remains of the injury she sustained.

"Where's my bloody knife?" She says to herself looking around for the knife she threw at the giant. Finding it she looks it over for damage. She slides the one she used as a replacement back home in it's sheath.

Moving to stand next to Kabal she says to the big man, "What the bloody hell was the point of telling me to back it up if you're just going to rush right in yourself?" He called me babe. I don't think anyone's ever called me that before. Do I like being called babe? Huh, I'm not sure about that one. That's better than sweetie, though, I didn't like it when Copper called me sweetie, he got kicked int he leg for that. Then again, when he said it it meant something entirely different, didn't it?

HP 42/69 Uh oh!

Yeah, she guzzled a fly potion earlier. Shifty just keeps forgetting to add the height notation next to her as he has done for you and the giant.

She was at 15' already, and there was enough movement for her to have gone up/down another 10' if it were necessary. With him begin 15' up from the ground too, she should be able to reach him.

Didn't want Bree's icon to disappear but she would be under the Giant to get the flank.

With the extra speed she felt she had from Celestra's prayers, Bree flew back into the fray getting into a position beneath the giant that Karlan hovered above.

I'm having trouble finding rule definitions for flanking when flying/height is involved. Bree is currently 15' and, would she need to raise to 25' in order to be flanking with Karlan if she moved into an appropriate flanking location?

Bree growls her frustration, whether from the blast or from being asked to back away from the fight no one can be sure. Nevertheless, she moves back drawing another dagger to replace the one she threw in the process.

A bit confused by the changes, from where she is now she would have retreated her full flight movement back towards the others. However, I can't select Bree without moving your blast range drawings, so I didn't actually move her.
