Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() Is there any cover to available? Looking around the oasis, Breach begins looking for the best place to lauch an attack from. Moving back from the shoreline, the old vertern knows the ways of the ambush predator being one himself. "Where are ya?" he half mumbles to himself as he scans the water for any signs of the beast that surely lurks below. The gleam of steel and the exceptionally vivid colors of his coral shortsword are in stark contrast to the tan and brown of the surrounding desert. His hands tighten as he prepares for the attack that is sure to be sprung in short order. "They didn't happen to snag my shield did they, Gandel?" he calls to the tiny man in the Santa sack. Breach will move to the most advantageous spot from which to launch his own attack on the beast. ![]()

![]() "Draw the beast to shore or we can make our escape boys. I see no reason ta die in this god forsaken desert fer no reward other than pride." the massive dwarf says as he trudges ashore blood trickling from the bite marks on his torso and legs. Drawing his short sword he squeezes the mechanism in his guantlet releasing its, now massive, spike. "Rally on me, brothers!" he roars out across the oasis. ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() With a roar of relief the dwarf's eyes go wide as he scans his new environ. Seeing the mage and orc standig upon the shore, Breach hesitates for only a moment when the frantic splashing of the hydra head shocks him back into the present. "BY TORAG'S BUSHY BEARD! THE BOYS ARE BELOW FIGHTIN' ANOTHER LIKE THAT ONE,MAGE!" he shouts in a hoarse voice the air feeling like gravel in his throat. "We gotta get 'em out there. Them things is just the heads. Got a whole body full of the things likely comin' on soon." Huragh, how about getting launched all Colossus/Wolverine style? ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() Breach should almost be to the surfacce by now, right. If so he, should be moving toward shore as he was surfacing. He will move to the shore regardless. "Get out of the water now! he shouts to the others. "We have no idea how much longer the real monster 'ill be held, boys!" ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() Know he has taken hard hits from the beast, Breach is in no hurry to continue on with combat in depths. Knowing that his bag may also be as running as short as his spells are, Breach grunts through the pain as pushes hard for the surface. SURFACE!!! he roars to his companions. ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() "All to gether now, boys. We are gonna make this run for the rift together or not at all." says the older dwarf halting just long enough to allow his kinsman to get on line. Breach will wait long enough for the group to come together then push hard for the rift. I have a 24 hour shift today at the barracks with no internet access so DMPC to keep things movin' along. You know how I would do things, so no worries. Good luck, lads. ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 "Just as I thought. We have to get past this thing boys! We are not suited for combat here. We need to draw it through the rift and on to land. Let us stop, cloud the water, cast your spells, and make a break for it under the the cover of our cloud." Breach will make for the gate. Is there any way around the beast? ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() "Hold your sh!& till we see the main body, Sooron. If we let loose too soon, we escape this scouting party and fall right to the main attack. Those heads are meant to corral, not attack. Predators that hunt in packs often use this tactic. Whether they are animal or humanoid, this a fact of squad ambush. Remember well the assualt from the beast in the desert? They too used this form of assualt. Just keep pushing for the gate!" ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() "Alright boys, we better get movin'. We only become a more likely target the longer we wait here. I plan stayin' as I was when I came inta this world and will go out the same way." How far are we from the gate? I will ready an action to set off the raw sewage field once we are within a sprint distance to the gate. ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() "Alright, boys. Here was what I got. When I was searching for gear in A'Viss, I found this beaut' when I was in a house with an aquatic garden of some sort." he says pulling the squid shaped back in front him. "We will need to make a break rift as soon as possible. The longer we lurk here, the longer the Deca-Jaws has to prepare its attack. We will need to move as one as quickly as possible to gate. I will swim in the middle and once we are within a sprint distance I will turn this bag on full blast. One its functions is to fertilize large swaths of land, but underwater it should produce a silty cloud providing us concealment when viewed from below if I aim it down or all around if I swing it around a bit. A bit ironic that it is in the form of a squid and all, but it seems to fit. I really don't much more a plan than that, but from what Gandel has told us, I assume a break for it is likely our best defense. Any thoughts?" Assuming Gandel briefed us on the threat we were facing....hope this is so. lol. ![]()

![]() In a world of Sh!& Turning to Faren the seasoned warrior smiles a rather devious smile and says,"I got a bone to pick with them nasties, friend. Don't be surprised if one day a group dwarves in strange helms come calling in this realm." Returning his attention to the task at hand Breach looks to his friends and says,"I have a plan...." Cliffhanger in place due to need to get to work, haha. ![]()

![]() I didn't want out, I wanted to get a front row seat for our eventual to A'viss! I don't plan on givin' away Breach that easy,Beetle. Breach is a tough old bird that plans on hackin' his way through any and every thing you throw at him. And I am holding on to the shi* sack for something special. ;) "So be it then, Faren." he says in the resolute tone of a hardened veteren. ![]()

![]() Beetle:
"Faren.....you wouldn't happen to know where I can get my hands on a dose of aboleth slime. If you can keep me in this realm...permanently, I can fight for your glorious A'viss and my friends will have the resources necessary to make their escape attempt. I have made many enemies in my days and these dark creatures are most certainly amongst them. Perhaps a wish or some sort of speel to make my ability to survive in this plane permanent.....
The dwarf settles into a thoughtful comptemplation. The idea he would never see the Five King Mountains again or the feel the wamth of the forge weighed heavy on his soul, but the idea of not offering to stay behind was all the worse. Of all the Dune Squad he realizes he is likely the most hardy and prepared for the demands of the depths. Everyone else read this after Beetle has responded ![]()

![]() Shouting over the rush of water blasting in their ears, Breach yells,"So is there anything we know of this Deca-Jaws that might give us some dort of tactical advantage? I understand it has more or less blocked travel through its territory for some time, but obviously someone has made it through to tell of its existence. Any of you book worms heard of it 'fore now?" ![]()

![]() Scratching his chin, Breach reflects on Hal's words saying,"Maybe we should just ask to move on by, hahaha. Never tried that before. As for trying to get inside then out again sounds like a rough way to go....but, something I might be willin' ta try. Nothing like borrowing your way out of a beasty's belly." ![]()

![]() Taking the momentary halt as a chance to check the security of his gear, Breach tightens his various belts and buckles. Looking to Faren then Karek he says, "Ain't no need to stop when ya need a latrine down here, eh Karek?" Smiling he adds with a wink,"I'm pretty sure ya did a little when ya thought you'd have ta crawl across this beasty at the the speeds we were movin'." ![]()
Male Dwarf 5 Fighter/2 Rogue
![]() Making his way quickly about the area ransacks every room he comes across searching for something he might use in the defense of himself and his friends. Realizing his time is short, Breach nearly abandons his search when the glint of a peculiar bag catches his eye. Swimming over to the black-blue object, Breach lifts it from its resting place. "What a strange skin this is., he thinks to himself. Appearing to be made from the body of a squid like creature turned upside down and cinched shut around its billowing tentacles it makes for an unusual, to say the least, piece of baggage. "Lets see what ya hol....?, he says as he pulls open the bag. Getting cut off mid sentence the room is suddenly filled with a disgusting, silty brown cloud. Panicking for a moment, Breach cinches the bag closed and scrambles for the door leading out into the open water. Snagging his foot upon a hard object at the entrance, the dwarf pitches forward landing face first on the ground. Embaressment quickly replaces fear after a moment of laying on the sea floor. "Now what in the blazes would they need a stinking scat bag under water for?", he ask himself as he sits upright to rub his shin. Glancing bag at the doorway he notices what had snagged his leg on the way and is thankful for the act it was of a manufactured nature and not the living variety. Slinging the bag over his shoulder he crawls over the entrance he just flew out of and lifts a strange looking shortsword that appears finely crafted, though of a material Breach is not accustomed to. The handle is made from a beautiful pearlish substance spiraling to finish in a relief of a clam of some sort.Drawing the blade fromit its chitnous scabbard, it looks to be made from a spine of a large animal with a natural serration and orange-purple coloring."Was likey far more deadly when it was still attached to whatever it came from.", Breach muses to himself. As he ponders his luck and goes to return the weapon to its sheath, the crossguard snags his beard and release the the purple blade from the orange revealing the fact it is in fact two seperate blades. The handle itself twist on a horizontal plane convertng the single sword into two punching daggers. "Will the wonders of this place ever cease?", he chuckles as he gathers his most fortunate finds and quickly makes his way back to his friends. Bag of Everlasting Dung and one MW shortsword which can be converted to two punching daggers(with a move action, perhaps?. Wanted a reason to keep the items we found and thought this was a pretty cool possibility if you like it,Beetle. Otherwise, I'll keep the one into two idea, but just make it two shortswords. ![]()

![]() Breach's Flashback: Looking out over the open expanse of desert before them, Breach continues his jovial conversation with rather large wizard with the orc bodyguard. "I tell ya, Moonpate. Yoou have chosen a mighty peculiar travelin' companion, but I suppose he's a bit ore than he appears to these eyes. " Shrugging his shoulders and continuing on with their various adventures, Breach smiles and says,"I got a little piece o' equipment ya might be able to appreciate." Fishing a small folded bit of cloth about the size and weight of a folded cotton shirt out of his pack he walks back over to where the wizard is sitting by a stone outcropping."Watch this.", he says. Tossing the light cloth at the wall above the mage's head he says,"Adhere!" The cloth burst open attaching to opposite sides of the alcove. Smiling, Breach walks over to the hammock and sits down,"Comforts of home anywhere 'heres a rock wall, friend. But, that is not the only trick this little bit of home has." With a wink he grabs the edge and rolls toward the wall vanishing completely from sight leaving only a rocky wall where he had just been sitting. Hearing the wizard's amused chuckle, Breach sticks his out of the top looking all the more humorous as only his head seems to be floating in space. Hopping out he says, "That little puppy 'as saved me more 'han once, wizard. When your staying beneath the earth, it's best not to be staying where the things that prowl that part of the world can get piece of ya. Made that mistake once an'ended up losin' this.",he says pointing to his right eye, But, that is a story for another time.", he finishes with a wink.

![]() I am for linking back up as soon as the story supports it. If we are all doing okay with the speed and such, that is. I have never been involved in such a broad range of locales, ever. I am loving this game. I'd say that there could be the opportunity to link up if said cave had a mysterious sound of rushing water coming from somewhere....? ![]()

Look here: Above is the item that may save the day at some point for those on the run. Beetle, you make the decision on how you want us to work it out, but this is one of the very reasons I purchased this bad boy. ![]() Taking a deep breath,if that is what you do underwater, Breach says"Boy,I think that the best bet we 'ave here is to go with the tunnels. The coast 'ill be too far away an' the other is likely to get us killed. We gotta fin' what 'appened to our lost companions and we gotta do it quick. It's likely they don't 'ave much time left. But, I guess the same could be said of us.", he finishes with a somewhat amused smirk.
