Great game, I enjoyed it and I’m glad to have gotten to be apart of it! I think the concept is fantastic and what not. My only input would be as dealing with this in a discord game is, split part paralysis. Half the party is busy while the other is waiting, it slows things to a crawl and makes things hard to keep track of. Though it helps make more free roam pbp is just not quick enough to maintain excitement during split party.

I’ll throw a sense motive out during the interrogation to see if she lies.

Brass as they go to leave doubles back and goes to grab the gun she left as well as to check the boyfriend. He follows up and at the mention so Interrogation he refers to Jade’s wishes and approach. He mainly hangs in the back avoiding the process and watching in case something happens.

“Get out with your hands behind your head.” as she gets out Brass calls out to Carson, “Well let’s all talk a moment to talk for a moment. I see your hand there and don’t want you to do something you might regret.”

Brass follows out of the car gun pointed at the woman’s back.

“Don’t worry who I am, just drive back to the apartment complex if you don’t want to end up like your friend.” Brass says dryly as he watches her through the slits in his helmet.

Brass points his rifle at her, “last chance, give up now.” he grunts out as he points the rifle at her.

Brass tries to shoot at the man with a gun. Then moves to get in the car via window seeing the situation turn.

He puts a round through the glass at the woman, if she pulls a gun.shot -2 AC from cover: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 81d10 ⇒ 6

But as he shoots he slips on the hood of the car nearly falling off and sending his shot straight up.

Brass is all in now, no guts no glory. He preps himself and the surge of life in moments like this makes him feel alive. He gets ready and jumps to the car.

brass heard don’t let them get away, and he doesn’t like to be shot at. So he’s trying to stop them from escaping and is pretty single minded on that at the moment.

Gaining he readies himself to try and overtake them. Hoping that he can get in front or match them to allow him to jump to the car.

Seeing Jade take off and now hearing what sounds to be Carson Brass runs after her and the pair. Upon seeing Carson a slight bit of relief washes over him, atleast it’s not some else trying to kill us.

If he can get line of sight he takes a shot at the man, hoping to wound him and not outright end him.

“We should ambush them as they enter. It gives us the element of surprise and let use use the door as a choke point.”

Brass looks around to see if he can hide behind the door or next to it so he can strike anyone that goes by with the butt of his rifle.

The anxiousness fades as the story goes on his small adjustments and movings trailing off until he is stock still watching Jade take in this experience of wandering a room that is hers yet is not at the same time. As the story goes on a solemn look crosses his face, he knows all to well the power of cruelty and fear.

As she draws closer he turn to leave then hearing her voice turns back. For a moment he thinks just how inept he is at these interactions, talking is so complex sometimes.

“I am glad that you survived, though I am sorry about the loss of life.”

As her hand drifts to his face his eyes lock with hers for a second and a visible look of confusion, panic, and fear kinda of washes over them. As she starts to talk and her hand touches his cheek his eyes drifts to her hand. His face becomes expressionless as this goes on, and he listens.

“I am glad to have you on this journey as well. I am a soldier created for a war that has long been over, and for a people that are long gone; I don’t have many positive things in my life.” he smiles at the last comment “It makes what connections I make more personal. Let us go find your prime self”

After seeing the wall show the man he immediately grimaces. “This doesn’t seem to be a friendly housecall. Should we try to leave or maybe lay a trap for them here?” he pulls out his rifle and with a simple press of a button it unfurls into a long rifle which then is then accompanied by a press to his neck on his armor causing his helmet to unfurl around his head and cover it completely.

After looking around and seeing no threats he relaxes now for real just looking around “The only differences in my model was the number and colors. We were built to follow orders and that was it. I know we were to have little interaction with humans besides killing or being told to kill, so aesthetics were low priority. I know that the models that we were designed to replace didn’t have sentience and barely had what could be called a face.” . He kind of looks at Jade a slight sadness in his face.

“Your model, was it designed for research? It must be nice to have such good intentions.” he takes a second after this to adjust some of his armor on his frame even though it’s firmly attached to him, almost like a nervous tic.

Brass follows keeping an eye out for something to go wrong nodding at Jades comments, “Discretion is our ally, we don’t know who might be trying to find ya or if we are under surveillance.”. As the first code fails he winces and starts to looks around worry on his face. But when the second works he relaxes, though his hand drifts to his rifle as they get ready to enter.

“I have not read much, especially old human fiction. But I have read several physical books. The feeling of the pages is something I find odd.” he follows in and watches the video a curious look on his face. This adds yet more confusion to the already complex puzzle they are in. While listening he starts to look around a little, for any kind of scuffle or a fight. “it seems that she has not been seen for some time, this is very strange.”

As Brass and Jade walk upstairs to the cab he grabs a credit chip from one of the containers. “In case we can not access older bank accounts. It should help cover the momentary problems.”

Brass stands up “I’ll go with you. I have little else I can do besides combat. Which at this point would be enjoyable. I’ll grab my things.”
After a moment he comes back in full armor and a small bag strapped to him his rifle in its storage state on his back.

Brass seeing the hack goes to find Ueda, he is the computer expert surely he knows how to fix this. He calls for Gabriel as he walks. “Gabriel there is a system hack be sure to ensure that it doesn’t compromise things to much.” As he walks in moments after Ueda’s restart he walks in and mentions “It seems the system was hacked my computer was notified, any way you can trace it.”

Mainly just seeing how effective our efforts were. Broad history was the goal.

Brass does a little research into some of the alterations to the timeline that differ from his own curious as to what else has changed. Once this is done he helps however he can with the others’ research.

Brass shakes his head the barrage of questions without answers being a bit much for him. “With Carson alive we should try to contact him, he may have some information on what’s going on as well as Dr. Brennan. Maybe this is where we should focus instead of the senators lead.”

Male EAC:15 KAC:17 |HP:18/18 SP:14/14 RP:5/5 |Fort:3, Ref +4, Will+3 |Init +8 Per+2|Hunting Rifle+7, 1d10 6/6 /45 Soldier 1

Brass takes a seat and looks around. “So if we are to not go find out forcibly from the radicals. We should look for other leads though in case we can diplomatically dig. I don’t have any ideas what these are at the moment so any ideas are considered.” he says this then looks around to the others hoping for suggestions.

sorry for no update, wasn’t sure what to add.

Brass takes a second to look over the item in Mr. White’s hand. Trying to figure out if it is merely a data crystal.

“This is very considerate Mr. Senator. We appreciate the gesture. Maybe now you can release Mr. White here. It seems crude to control this man when you must have many aids who could do this for you.”
Brass looks extremely disturbed by the fact that this man is seemingly controlled by the senator and has a visible disgust on his face as he says all this.

Seeing all this secrecy and security Brass is going to stop, hoping that he can find a way to work around it later. Though he does bookmark everything he finds for alter use. He then decides to explore the installation hoping to see more of it.

Brass after his diagnostic takes some time alone to rest heeding the doctor’s words. After some time he wakes up and instead of searching for Info on Brass prime he decides to use the channels he had in his timeline to see if he can reach any of his old crew. He logs onto the chat link that he remembered and sees if it’s been used recently unlike his, hoping to get a glimpse into what made this Brass more open and active for androids.

“Very well, thank you for your help doctor, and yours as well Catesby. I have much to think about now.” and then things begin to recede back to their places, their consciences coming back to their own positions.

Brass’ eyes open and for the first time you’ve seen, you can see his age. The tired look in his eyes, the energy drained from his body, and the lines of his metallic body showing a little more than usual. He looks to the two doctors, “Thank you for your help, it was nice to have be able to have help with this problem.”

“Yes I do. He was a man who enslaved myself and several other androids. Then used us for mercenary work for any and all who could pay. Those individuals were individuals caught in the way of a job. We were tasked with securing the cargo for someone who wanted a monopoly on mining lasers.” A moment passes, “if we didn’t follow orders an explosive collar would be detonated. I did not want to kill them, yet was forced too.” as brass thinks about this, a ripple in the code happens and a something strange happens. Thrusting a vision on everyone.

Suddenly a vision comes to him, of several androids in battle. As they take heavy fire one of the androids is yelling to fall back. A voice comes over Brass’ radio “No retreat, either kill or be killed.” and an instant later the android that was yelling is killed as his collar explodes. The Brass and the other surviving androids begin to advance killing all as they move forward.
Brass begins to move and spaz uncontrollably as this glitch happens. His hands trying to grasp at what isn’t there.

that’s a good description of it I think, if I had to describe what it might feel like I’d guess that.

This is strange I have not felt this sensation in a long time. The glitch started while searching Moreau’s ship. I think that is the best place to start. and in that moment the two of them move through and find the moment in the strange and slightly antiquated code inside of Brass’ mind. As they find it they experience the strange occurrence that happened while Brass was on the ship, and as the moment ends the strange silence of the diagnostic returns. brass after a moment of silence communicates. I do not know what could cause this to happen, that is memory overlaying what I perceived. It does not make a logical sense.

jade might see Brass tense a little as the glitch is replayed, but relax again as it fades away.

“I’ve had little time to run a complete self analysis, it has been many years since the last one was run. I mainly just ensure that the dents and bullet holes don’t compromise my structural integrity.” looking down at cable he says. “I am fine with the uplink.”

Just as the cable is attached Brass puts a hand on Ueda to slow him. “If a glitch occurs you will experience it as well. It may be traumatic, I must warn you about this before you plug in. Miss Essex please keep an eye on things.”

“Any help would be appreciated running diagnostics, especially as you both are androids.”

As Brass leads his fellow androids to his room he sits down on a chair, and looks to his companions. “I believe I felt a system glitch when we were searching Moreau’s ship. Brass sees turns away from seeing his alternate self’s death, he knows just how deadly an explosive can be at close range. He begins to walk through the simulation looking at the various carnage and listening to Ueda. “It seems we have several leads to who might have done this. I suggest we take some time. I could use some time to relax. Things have been very taxing the way couple days.”

Brass watches the scene unfold as the Android child is nearly trampled with increasingly visible anger. He looks at the area and starts to study the faces of the various people swinging at his alternate self. “Gabriel can you analyze the faces of the these people to see if any of them had contact with Brass prime before, or anything that might indicate anti-android groups.” he motions to those around Brass prime. Then looking at the violent android child, “Where did this child come from? I would like to know who “owns” her.” the words owns comes out with a lot of effort and disgust.

Once it is paused again he looks to his comrades and starts to take in the effects of this simulation. “This may be hard to see but we must push on. Everything must be analyzed as best we can. It’s the least we can do for the victims.” he says this with as much resolve as he can muster, though sadness can be heard plainly through.

He walks over to Ueda placing a hand on his back “Things have happened that hurt, it’s ok to feel... human.”
