Hey there Hivemind!

A PFS player I game with has asked if they can retrain their owl familiar’s native Weapon Finesse feat to Additional Traits, giving them the option to take Adopted and then Frustrating, a specific race trait for Gathlains.

Ignoring my major apprehensions about how the hell an owl raised by Gathlains becomes the familiar of a wizard from the Mwangi Expanse, is this legit for PFS play? Personally I wouldn't allow it in my own game because IT MAKES NO SENSE, but I can't find a reason why not according to PFS rules. Thanks in advance for any advice and input - just trying to confirm that they have the all-clear so that they don't waste hours rebuilding their owl!

Just a quick one, because Google hasn't thrown up any answers - is there an official crest design for the Blakros Family please?

TIA!

Thanks all!

Hey there all!

One for the GM Hive Mind: Been having a bit of a brain fart regarding the Pathfinder Chronicles item. How would you interpret this please:

Quote:
Numerous volumes and editions of the Pathfinder Chronicles exist. When used as a reference (an action that takes 1d4 full rounds of searching the text), a Pathfinder Chronicle grants a +2 circumstance bonus on a specific Knowledge check. Each Pathfinder Chronicle grants this bonus to a different type of Knowledge. Regardless of which type that particular chronicle is focused on, the cost of the book remains the same.

The 'specific knowledge check' is the point of contention. Say I decide I want to have a Pathfinder Chronicle that is focused on Knowledge: Local. Would you apply it to one single knowledge check once (EG +2 to a Knowledge: Local check to work out where the Grand Lodge is in Absalom) or to all Knowledge: Local checks? 50 gp seems a lot for a one-off +2, but it also seems quite cheap for a permanent +2 whenever you have 24 seconds to flick through it.

Thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

Hey all!

Looking at picking up some of the flip mats and map packs in PDF, but I just have one question - how well do they print out on paper? Do the native pdf settings print them out at the right size, or is adjustment necessary?

Also, has anyone come up with any cunning methods of printing them on something more robust?

Four of my five favourites, in no particular order:

Migrus Locker
Charts Of The Shadow Voyage
Torch Of Solidity
Shroud Of Old Souls

But the one I have to say I'm most impressed by is the Beacon Of Hope. I like the name, I like its application in the game, I like the way it was presented... I haven't found anything about it not to like. In fact, next rogue-type I play is probably going to try and acquire one.

Honourable mentions include the Vial of Ebon Fire, Greaves Of The Monkey, Arcane Anvil and the Paper Folding Instructions Of Master Mo.

I like this item. I like the fact that you could, in theory (if there was a corpse) bring back a 10 000 year old dead guy. I wonder though, if there should be a disclaimer that the body must be mostly intact or something of that nature.

Or maybe that the body must have been killed in the last 24 hours?

Thanks Cos! You're a star!

Hey there!

I just picked up my copy of Dungeon #146 from my mailbox, and I received Dungeon #144 a fortnight ago, but I've had no sign of #145. Can I just check to confirm it was shipped, as I fear it may be delayed or lost in the mail.

Cheers, and all the best

Seconded. I had a problem with a Game Of Thrones order a while back (To be mailed to China), and Cosmo was really helpful, pleasant, and efficient. Here's a tankard!

Always been a fan of Rogues. One of my alltime favourite characters was a Goblin Rogue/Swashbuckler.
