Male Dwarf Cleric 1

pretty long delay.

Male Dwarf Cleric 1

I'm ok with the current pace, this game was never intended to be fast paced adventure anyway.

Male Dwarf Cleric 1

Forum probably ate it, it's happened to me before. lol

Male Dwarf Cleric 1

I think Purify Food and drink might be a tad more useful than putrify. hahaha

Male Dwarf Cleric 1

I wasn't expecting anything major, but anything I could salvage with it would still help us out.

Just to make it clear, I will be using Artificer's Touch to fix up the more important items in the Tavern. I have a total of 6 uses for the day, which should be more than enough to patch a couple of things.

If I could get a list of items that are important to the tavern, but are damaged I will gladly role for them if necessary.

Babbles rolled up his sleeves and began to look at what might be saved and what was completely unsalvageable.

"You can go check tha bell out," he said, "Ah'll get started here. The sooner tha place is cleaned up, tha sooner we can begin tha repairs."

He then began to go about removing the ruined furniture and such from the tavern and general cleaning. all the while murmuring something about people should have more respect for a place of ale.

Alright, guys, we're off. I'll give you a little bit to react, chat amongst yourselves, and then we'll move along with your first actions.

Before that, though, a few notes on posting. I may or may not have mentioned these, but here we are anyway:

  • I like my games to keep all the ooc chatter to the discussion thread, including dice rolls or anything of the like. Whenever possible, I like these things to read like a story, and random blather distracts from that pretty bad.
  • We'll be posting in past tense third person (i.e. Eliam ran towards the house, robes flapping).
  • Use bold for speaking (i.e. Esmee commented, "Hey look! Eliam's running to the house!")
  • Italics for inner monologue (i.e. Angela thought to herself, Man, look at Eliam go.)

No big deal if we mess up on these, it's just my preference.

  • alrighty then.

Babbles walks in careful testing to make sure the floor doesn't fall a part beneath him. "Tha place is ah dump." He says with a huff and looks around the place a bit more, "But we'll be changin tha soon enough" he adds with grin.

Looks good to me, it's all basic stuff can use to establish ourselves. Expansions can be made in the future.

I agree we need rooms, lavatory, and sewer access. But I must concur with the Tavern needing a brewery. For one it'll mean we'll have our own distinct brew, but it will also help feed the local economy as we'll need to buy the supplies for the actual brewing process.

    Forge: 370g
    Storage: 120g
    Sanctum: 190g

    Total: 680g

build around the core of 1 Bedroom, 1 Kitchen, 1 Lavatory, and 1 Sewer Access, with a total value of 690g

The Forge is for working, the Sanctum his place to pray and prepare spells, and the storage is to store materials and completed works.

I agree with keeping it town building for now, with possible kingdom expansion in the future.

What are the requirements for housing btw?

Let's say Esmee thinks she drank him under the table, and it bothers him to no end.

This works for me, could be some good RP fuel.

    Male Dwarf Cleric 1

@esmee Not likely, babbles got his high con from drinking too much :P

    Male Dwarf Cleric 1

@eliam: I'm cool with us having met on a caravan at one point.

@Angela: Maybe I treated a wound you recieved during an attack?

@esmee: Maybe we have regular drinking contests and bonded through that as friends?

For some reason it didn't save my edit to my post:

livelihood: He's a smith so naturally he'll be working the forge to make end's meat.

    Male Dwarf Cleric 1

    Tavern: The Tipsy Mule

    Town: Little Haven

    Male Dwarf Cleric 1

    Reporting in.

    Yay ^-^

Most certainly still here and interested

    Things he always does:
    - Get drunk before brokering a big deal.
    - Give medical assistance to anyone who asks (within reason)
    - Tries to sing louder than the clanging when smithing metal. (he thinks it's a way of showing the metal who is in charge)

    Things he'd never do:
    - Attack anyone unless it's in self defense (including enemies). He'd prefer to talk through conflict.
    - Trust an elf. (there is a story here)
    - Let someone drink alone.

    His Longterm goals:
    - Become wealthy through the sale of the items he creates.
    - Forge an item that rivals the most powerful relics.
    - Become known more for his smithing ability than his Babbling.

    The Elf Story:

Babbles was a traveling merchant and smith. Although he did hop from caravan to caravan he frequently travelled with a caravan run by an elf named Silnas. Babbles and Silnas were old friends and Babbles considered him a brother. They had fought off everything from monsters to bandits to defend their wares and saved each others lives on more than one occasion. Imagine Babbles surprise and anger when woke up on the side of the road with Silnas nowhere to be seen and all his wares missing. The betrayal cut deep within the normally cheerful dwarf.

Added some more detail to the BG to flesh it out a bit.

And now I have finished the Alias.
