It's been a hot minute since I've looked up the specifics on this, but I believe that you're free to change your race boon up until you play a game at second level. You just need to be sure you re-balance your stats.

In general, you cna change any aspect of your character until your first game at second level - class, race, purchases (except consumables you've used, of course), etc.

Just got the charge and ship notification! Looks like we're golden now.

Thanks again for your help!

Per Sharaya's note to post if my July subscription hasn't shipped:

I haven't gotten notice that my subscription has been shipped (Starfinder Armory, order #5119474).

GenCon looks like a doozy this year, so I'm not tripping. Thanks for any help!

Thanks!

Same as JohnHawkins above, the website crashes each time I try to make a thread. So... I guess I'll post here?

I haven't gotten notice that my subscription has been shipped (Starfinder Armory, order #5119474).

Never mind, I was able to make a thread!

Sacramento just had our first Skittermander show up the other day (an Envoy).

That was me!

Unfortunately, the dice were not in my favor that night and I managed to make his grand entrance a bit of a flop, haha.

But yeah, I went with an Envoy Icon that has a relationship advice TV show and tends to dispense really poor advice. I'm shooting for a Dr. Phil or Maury type of vibe... I'm considering dipping a level of Empath Mystic so he can summon "security" when guests get too out-of-hand.

It's gonna take a few levels of GM credit incubation to get him to play where I want him... In the meantime, I'm looking forward to getting better at adding bad advice into my RP lol.

EDIT: I forgot the bit about his name, "Dr. Urrrr". He holds no real degree, instead creating the honorific by adding letters over time in the Skittermander way. Now he just keeps adding 'R's to the end, as he likes the way the name sounds and doesn't care to change it around.

I'm not sure if you handled this, or if I just decided to post right before the system took care of it... Regardless, the scenarios are now present, and I'm totally squared off!

Thanks!

Hello -

This month's SFS scenarios (1-18, 1-19) were ordered by subscription yesterday, but still haven't shown up in my Downloads. The order reports that it is complete, so I think they just aren't available to me yet or something?

Please take a look when you have time.

Thanks!

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

No worries, that would be waaaay more effort than it's worth. I've taken the steps to have my next subscription apply store credit, so it will pan out all the same in the end.

Thanks for catching up with me!

Hi-

I meant to purchase a couple of Starfinder APs with store credit, but blitzed through checkout without making sure I was using it... So, I charged it all to my regular payment option. Oops.

Would you folks be able to revise my order at this point, or am I a bit SOL? Totally understand if there's nothing to be done (PEBKAC after all) - just thought it can't hurt to ask.

Thanks!

Does this give a gm boxes towards the boon if they run it on Saturday.

Humm... My read is that GM's don't get any tracker credits for their first game. However, if you were to run the scenario a second time, you would.

I believe that's what the boon stipulations are saying here - that you only get credits after the chronicle has been applied.

For the folks that get/got the physical copy for Free RPG Day... Are we allowed to run Skitter Shot after Free RPG Day but before July 1st? I can't see why not, but I figured I'd check before asking for a couple of slots at a con I'm attending the weekend after FRPGD.

Hey folks - for anyone that didn't notice, the Chronicle and pregens are now posted on the Skitter Shot store page.

I think I can contribute something neat? Long CSB incoming I guess, lol...

I'm a freshly minted GM. I've been a homebrew player for years and only recently decided to pick up GMing. When Starfinder released, I couldn't find any games to play in - so, I resolved to try GMing a homebrew table with friends.

I've always been interested in organized play, but I never took the dive as I live in a rural area where I have to travel a minimum of an hour and a half to play at a sanctioned table. Despite years of resistance, my sister finally dragged me to a con in Sacramento earlier this year and... I couldn't have had a better time.

I bought a module (1-10) on a lark and ran my homebrew table through it a couple months ago. They all had a riot! So, that table has now flipped to OP and we're all starting to make plans to carpool to "nearby" cons.

Anyways, I'm two games away from my first nova. It's not an impressive milestone, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm trying to knock it out this week so that I have something to show before I GM my first convention table on the 22nd.

Wish me luck if you're at RAGECon, eh? I'll be the nervous one haha

Also, a new player with only one PC - since Skitter Shot is played with pregens can they apply the Skitter Shot chronicle sheet to the same PC? Or more specific, when a PC is "locked" in a multi-session game, can they play a pregen and apply credit to the same PC?

I couldn't find a clear answer in the Guild Guide.

I think I've seen similar questions... I'm not 100% on this, but I believe the Skitter Shot chronicle is held until they receive the AP's chronicle. I could be wrong...

As per your first question, I'm not sure.

True, I guess we we'll all just have to wait until those come out to know for sure. It still gives me a good excuse to roll some skittermanders up - at worst, it'll be an academic exercise lol

First question: As written in the adventure, can we create 2nd level Skittermanders for use with Skitter Shot, or can we only use the pregens?

Second page of the scenario reads:

Skitter Shot wrote:
Four pregenerated skittermanders can be found on pages 12-15 of this book, or players can create their own 2nd-level skittermanders using the Starfinder Core Rulebook and the playable racial traits found in the Starfinder Alien Archive.

That does lead me to wonder if it is allowable to run more than four players... I think 5 players would work fine, but 6+ might start to break encounters. Hmm...

I didn't see a GM prep thread for this yet, and it appears the Free RPG Day boxes have started shipping. I just got a copy from the game shop I'll be GMing for, so I'm assuming the folks with similar GM agreements might be able to pick up their copies too... That heads-up is primarily why I'm starting this thread.

My initial read is really positive! I'm even more eager to run it now. Here's to hoping the flavor textboxes with Skittermander slang get picked up by the players! Also, it's great to see a few time-saving options given for concluding the scenario; it'll make it a lot easier to keep in a guaranteed timeframe.

I'll get to read more into it tonight. My once-over didn't leave me with any questions... YET.

Hey all -

I've recently started GMing SFS games. I'm entirely new to Organized Play, so please excuse me for being a rookie. I'm a bit unclear on how GM credit works in terms of my own characters.

From Page 16 in the Guide:

Quote:

A GM can assign credit for running an adventure in the same

ways a player can, and must follow the same rules as a player
when applying credit to a character. When you choose to take
a Chronicle sheet for GM credit, you must decide which of your
characters receives the Chronicle sheet when you fill out the
tracking sheet for that table. You must apply Chronicle sheets in
the order they are received.

My read of this is that each of my characters can only receive things like XP/Credits once, regardless of how many times I run a specific scenario. Is this correct?

A second question I have regards an earlier note in the Guide (Page 8):

Quote:

You can receive up to two Chronicle sheets for a given adventure: one

for playing an adventure and one for running the same adventure as
a GM, regardless of how many times you play or run that specific
adventure. A character may have no more than one copy of a
Chronicle sheet applied to her. GMing adventures contributes to
GM star rewards even when it does not award additional Chronicle

So, this would mean that each of my characters could have credit applied twice per scenario? As in:

- Receive XP/Credit/etc. for playing (if the scenario is repeatable)
- Receive XP/Credit/etc. for GMing

Or is this what the "no more than one copy of a chronicle sheet" note is trying to prevent?

If I carry two Chronicle sheets with a character - one for GMing, one for playing - do I use two of the regular player Chronicles and make a note that I GMed for one, or do I use that GM table record sheet (e.g. Page 37 of Into the Unknown)?

Thanks for any answers - I'm sure these have obvious answers and that I'm trying to read too deep. I think my main issue is that I'm not entirely clear on terminology. Cheers!
