"Yeah! What she said!" Khiari goes for a headbutt against her Red-clad attacker.

Ah, there's another enemy who hasn't acted yet. Well, my turn has been declared.

Bella frowns as the interlopers declare themselves. "You call that a war cry? Children of Galt could teach you many lessons in proper declaration!"

The creatures respond by roaring at Bella and attacking her.

Bella loosens the ◆>Dancing Scarf< around her waist to make herself Concealed.

Confident Finisher: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5) = 14 If I miss, deal 1/2 the Confident Finisher damage

Then she finishes with a ◆kick to the fiend's midsection.

They slam the door and Bella makes a mocking face before Khiari. "Feels good to relieve some stress."

I assume someone will heal Clover.

Bella and Khiari practice some of their dance moves, mixing it into an overly formal military march, mixing in a few of the Hellknights' attempts at entertainment in the process.

Khiari nudges Bella. "Trouble in paradise?" She points at the couple arguing over something. "Or Trouble in the Hotspot?"

Bella can't help but sneak over there and find out what's going on.

Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

Confident she's gotten the gist of it, she returns to guard duty. "The Lady is upset over something the Lord and perhaps Imperiatix Abrogail have done. She thinks him leaving the capital was mistake." Bella exaggerates despair. "She says people will flee the Dark Prince instead of taking his hand. How dreadful!"

Bella and Khiari trade many mental quips at the Chelaxians but remain polite. "We are thankful none of you were injured. It would be an embarrassment otherwise. We only hope for a peaceful resolution."

Bella knows Clover can handle herself when it comes to recovering from injury, and Vardarel would likely show off his own divine mettle. She she keeps quiet when the priestess offers healing.

Bella and Khiari wince.

Not just because one of the protestors is a professional baseball player and beaned Clover with a deadly fastball, but also their chants are horrid.

"Coppers, Silver. Tutor Expense!"
"Go home and improve your chant!"

While this is not a listed skill, I am going to Swash the Buckle and attempt a skill check anyway. I was hoping to at least ruin their Catchy Slogan.

Bella and Khiari frown as they need to workshop their own protests. Usually Galt gets bloody before the bards can really get started.

Bella prepares to Aid someone with Diplomacy.

"We shall do all that we can, Captain."

With the sudden noise outside. "The Chelaxians must have arrived."

Bella realizes a diplomatic solution would be her best bet. "Professor? It is time to use your silver tongue to calm these crowds." She pulls out the Scroll of >Heroism< the captain gave her and applies it on him.

Diplomacy +11 is my best bet here. Next round, I will try to Aid anyone who uses Diplomacy.

Bella realizes the team is waiting for her to introduce herself to the Starwatch Captain. "Greetings, Captain. These are unexpected circumstances, but there is never a dull moment. Usually." She gives the Lady of Laws a brief glance before Khiari clears her throat.

"We all showcase a mixture of strength and agility." Bella and Khiari begin to assume a few fighting stances before stretching low to the ground in perfect sync, with Bella stepping back with her left foot while resting on the heel of her right. Khiari's right hoof stays planted as she balances her left hoof backward. All the while they maintain their upper body position.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32

"While we cannot predict the future, we are prepared to handle it."

Bella and Khiari are ready to assist, but it does look like Bella should address the Starwatch Captain.

If Bella/Khiari are asked to Aid, here are their rolls.

Bella and Khiari bow politely as the staff members look down at them as uncultured murder hobos. Both are thinking about snappy retorts but keep quiet.

Bella is certain she could demonstrate her agility to the Starwatch Captain. Acrobatics +15

Khiari wonders if she could spin a tale about the First World to the Keeper of Secrets. Nature +11

The First Lady of Laws is such a BORE. Best not to talk to her.

Bella could also speak to the Diplomatic Minister and get advice. Diplomacy +11

No worries GM. I just got my flu & COVID vaccine and it knocked me right out.

"As for soup, Leek Soup would be my recommendation. Very healthy yet comforting."

"Easy to screw up, though..." Khiari chimes in. "Sis tried to make it once, way too bitter."

"Do you know what kinds of favors they will request of us?" Bella stands to attention. "I have had experience dealing with nobility and what they consider minor. Myself included, admittedly."

I'm at 64 XP, so level 6.

"...and a wonderful mirage was drawn across the water. It looked so authentic. Isn't that right, sister?" Bella turns to her satyr sister. "Sister? Khiari?"

Khiari's mind is mulling over her analysis of the twigjacks. So spry, so destructive. What did Port Valen do to earn that kind of wrath? Was this fey trickery? Or was it more predatory? And what of the Rose Witch? Is she tricking them? Is her family nothing more than prey?

A light tap on the shoulder snaps her back to reality. "Yeah. Right. The magic helped us escape the entangling patch of grass." Khiari mumbles.

Bella looks at her sister briefly with concern. "Well, let us get to the mission at hand. Protecting those who wish for peace is our top priority. House Sidare is partially in Galt. Believe me, a never ending war is not a warrior's dream; most fighters wish they were unemployed."

"You are a gracious host, Viltydus. Your stewardship sets an example I hope to follow." Bella gives the fey a respectful curtsy. "I accept your offer. If there are any more tasks or requests, do not hesitate to ask."

Bella enjoys her time in Port Valen, even if their coffee is terrible. The music and dance is incredible, and she feels she can barely keep up. She hasn't had a challenge like this in months.

Khiari checks up on the Ulfen man who tied himself to the tree. He's hairy, but nowhere close to Weretiger hairy. While she misses the assistants back in her home, she does enjoy lounging in the forest, taking a nap near a pond, or just talking to other fey in the area. Fighting off the twigs and their bigger accomplices gives Khiari a new worry - maybe Bella was right to be more suspicious of fey. What if the Rose Witch is just stringing them along?

This was a lot of fun, thanks for GMing this. One of these days I'll see that optional battle. I enjoyed the banter with the weretiger victim and Imara.

Uh, who is GMing next? It's been a while. Did we do 3-03: Echoes of Desperation yet? I can GM that as I just started in my Real Life game.

Bella attempts to dance but her feet are still sore after stepping on those twigjack splinters.

Bella and Khiari use their bursts of speed to prance around the battlefield and enjoy the rest of the magic as it wears off.

"I need a long hot bath after this. I'm full of splinters." Bella muses.

"Well, at least we studied the path and the ring of menhirs." Khiari shrugs. "And we got to squish some nasty predators."

>Time's Loose Arrow< makes you Quickened, so you have an extra action to Stride if you wish.

"Incoming." Splinters fly at Bella and Khiari.

Bella maintains a stiff upper lip even as she makes a misstep on one of the splinters.

Then the plants reach up and try to entangle the duo.

The plants are successful. "Sis! We're stuck here!" Khiari notes.

She leaps to the opposite side of the Brown creature. "Now, sister!" She calls out.

Full of Panache, Bella hikes up her skirt enough to ◆axe kick the Grimstalker's collarbone. She continues holding her skirt to perform a cancan dance, aiming her focus on the pile of twigs with Brown foliage. "Come on now, stop hiding and enjoy the show."

◆ Bella uses >Fascinating Performance< on Brown. Thanks to >Focused Fascination<, she only needs a Success to Fascinate. Thanks to >Assurance< her Performance check is 20. As long as she doesn't critically fail, she gets Panache.

"Sister, prepare to prance!"

Bella twists away from the splinter, feeling full of panache in the process.

"Really? You'd attempt to hold me back with shrubbery?" Bella hikes her skirt and tiptoes. "Sister, watch out for the plants."

Khiari's Reflex vs Grimstalker's plants: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
"It's a patented fey trick." Khiari steps in 2/2 time so the plants can't do much to her. "But watch out for the claws."

Due to Summoner rules, Bella/Khiari take 16 damage from the splinter spray (Bella would take 16, Khiari would take 8 so they take the majority damage once)

Finally, they are ready to act. So are the plants.

Khiari shrieks "Eeek! It's got my tail!" She wastes time fussing with it to remove it. Bella sighs and stares at the Grimstalker. "You're being quite rude."

It... just works.

Whoops, Bella's Fort save is +13. Not that it would have mattered here.

Khiari blurts out. "Oh! Grimstalkers! Willpower isn't their strongest or worst resistance. They're also fey."

Bella nods and applies her comedy routine towards the very Green Grimstalker.

Bella will react against the first Strike on her. Her AC is 26.

"Perhaps the enemies realized they had attracted too much attention?" Bella fluffs her ego. "I would flee if I heard Pathfinders were investigating!"

Bella and Khiari continue their game as they practice prancing, leaping and skipping about the mountain trail. Bella's training and practice versus Khiari's natural agility from her goat-like legs.

Athletics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Bella seems to light up at the prospect. "Defending a village from invaders? I accept this task with gusto."

Viltydus's nobility appeals to Bella. Protecting the land you benefit from seems natural. Despite the issues about the Rose Witch and her Father, Bella does sense she can protect Galt the way Khiari wants to help Evanescent Green.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

And so she begins politely asking the residents of Port Valen for assistance. Any information on the attackers would be useful. Do they patrol? Is there a specific type of food they feast upon? What time of day do they strike? Khiari writes everything down when she isn't flirting with the locals.

"Let me help you out of those chains, Tjolfor." Bella and Khiari work on removing the restraints. While they don't say anything about Tjolfor's comment, both of them are wondering what's going on with Quickblade and Vardarel.

Recall Knowledge with Nature +11, if it's applicable.

"Ha! All brawn and no brain." Bella taunts from afar. "I'll protect you, sister. Hurry this up."

She ◆casts >Protect Companion< on Khiari and prepares to Life Block.

Khiari's AC is now 25. If she is hit for more than 5 damage, Bella can react with Life Block, reducing damage by 20 but taking 10 damage in the process. If Khiari takes 6-10 damage, Bella will block 10 and take 5 damage instead.

"There!" Bella lodges herself away. "Now, sister!"

Whether or not the feint worked, Bella boots the Yellow cat again, hoping to thin the herd.

Then she prepares a ↺>Flashy Dodge< to protect herself, even as the Red furred cat holds onto her.

The Tracker said Clover and Bella (with Khiari) could move the last time you posted, GM. I assume that's still the case?

Bella realizes she's gotten careless. Held AND Restrained by fast reacting creatures. It's like Slam Poetry. But every hit she takes is one less for her teammates.

So she tries to ◆Escape from being Restrained.

My other actions will depend on whether Bella Escaped or not.

Bella looks at the green tree and nods in appreciation. "These felines are quick, but my feet are quicker." She performs a quick jig against the Yellow spotted cat to give herself some Panache.

Realizing she's flanked, Bella prepares to react with a ↺ >Flashy Dodge< if she is attacked. (AC 26)

"Oh, pish posh." Bella struts her confidence towards the man. "Tjolfor the Bruised? More like Tjolfor the Brave if you ask me! Fought off werecreatures, didn't die to their wounds, and had the strength to chain yourself to a tree? Do you realize how strong you are?"

Hero Point: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

"Think of the story you will tell your family when you get back home. We'll patch up your wounds and help you return to your loved ones. Come."

"That is unfortunate, Viltydus. We will recover the survivor with all due haste." Bella scans the sky. "How much light do we have? My sister can see well in low light situations, but I am not as gifted."

Perception +10 is my best skill. I can lead or aid but I suspect people have better skill check bonuses.

Usually we'll get an update to wrap things up quickly as we near the end of Gameday.

Gameday ends on November 26. We should be good at this pace. Much better than another game I'm playing...

"One more rat to extinguish." Bella calls upon Winter's Chill yet again.

She tries to ◆◆cast Frostbite, only to freeze a brick nearby the rat. "Sister, I can't see it through all of this smoke. Can you?"

"Yup, there's the stupid rodent. I got it." Khiari goes to ◆Strike the rat.

Oh, Bella was Sickened from the round before. I thought she was not, so that's why I rolled the Fort Save vs Red.

As Vardarel said, Summoner Dedication does not get access to Tandem actions like Act Together. It was fun theory crafting if Bella should be a Summoner first or Swashbuckler first, but eventually I decided ruling the dance floor was more important than dynamic duo action.

Bella manages to not inhale the fumes and focuses on freezing the Red rat in front of her, applying Winter's Chill. >Frostbite< appears on the rat, dealing 4d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 3) = 7 cold damage (Basic Fort Save DC 20 or 21. I am unsure if Bella is still Sickened.)

Khiari decides to run into Flanking to help Quickblade, but she gets a mouthful of smoke along the way.

Bella begins to cough as the fumes get to her. Nonetheless, she tries to focus on the rat.

The power of Winter's Chill forms around the Red Rat, forming >Frostbite< and dealing 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 3) = 12 Cold Damage. Basic Fort Save DC 21. If the fumes make Bella Sickened, please reduce the DC accordingly.

"Sister! Help Stitch surround the Green Rat, please!" Bella calls to Khiari.

"Okay. Time for another smelly rat. She holds her breath."

Khiari leaps over the table to reach the other side of Stitch.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
I'm assuming Khiari can make this movement, vault over the table, and get to Stitch with 1 action and 25 feet. If I can't, move Khiari to 5 ft to the right of Bella.

"Cold?" Bella coughs. "As you say."

Fort Save vs Red: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24

She controls her composure. "Sister, hold still. I'm going to try something."

Bella focuses on Winter's chill. Listening to the winds of a silent winter morning as she and Khiari run around throwing snowballs at each other. Bella wondering how Khiari stays warm with a sleeveless shirt and skirt.

Enough musing, it's enough to tap into her primal blood and cause >Frostbite< on the Blue rat. It deals 4d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 4) = 12 cold damage. Basic Fort Save DC 21.

Khiari coughs. "Ugh, I can barely see! Stupid rat!"

"I'm gonna headbutt this stupid rat back to the plane of fire!"

"Get outta here!"

"Well, take it slowly." Bella professes. "We are but children to the forces of Fate."

Khiari shrugs. "Sorry, we get real poetic. And we do have a home. If you're in Evanescent Green or Galt, check out Sidare Manor."

"Another day on the shooting range. Usually when there are suitors about I accidentally miss them by a whisker. But for you Imara, I shall stay on target."

Bella draws her shortbow and steadies herself while Khiari coaches her aim.

Shortbow: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Piercing Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

"Ah, there we are. I need to enhance this weapon, soon..."

Bella maintains her composure when she's called a murderous hobo, blaming Imara's ignorance but admiring her honesty.

"Honesty brought me to the Pathfinder Society in the first place. I have much to learn about the world. For example, the ability to quickly improvise and put things together."
Thievery: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

Bella quickly takes some of the spare gears and constructs them into a tower half her height. "If you hide in your home- which ours is quite elaborate, thank you- the world will move on without you. There is so much more to learn about your Beast Guns. Why not travel around the world and help people in the meantime?"

"Beast... guns?" Bella and Khiari stare at each other, perplexed by the oxymoron. "Dear Imara, we are.... old fashioned in this respect. Please, tell us Sidare sisters all that you know."

I'll take a Scroll of Heroism as my provision.

Bella curtsies and Khiari takes a bow. "Greetings. Viltydus, I presume? I am Sidare, given name Bella. This is my younger sister Khiari."

Khiari nods. "By about 7 seconds. Anyway, we heard about the Symposium and what happened there. Good thing we didn't go, those thieves probably would have clobbered us a few times over." She shrugs, knowing Bella's pride won't allow her to admit she had the same concern. "Anyway, we're here reporting for duty."

"Port Valen is on the way to Valenhall." Bella thinks. "I do remember the time the Ulfen diplomat spoke about when she mentioned the Mahwek interference." Bella rolls her eyes. "The Ulfen immigrated to the region and the Mahwek are native. If you are of Ulfen descent, be sensitive to local politics here."

Khiari clicks her hooves. "Yeah, this is supposedly on the way to Valenhall. A place where legendary Ulfen warriors get to rest in paradise. Might be real, might be a metaphor. But this is the former feasting hall of King Sveinn Blood-Eagle." Khiari waves her hands to indicate the room everyone is in. "See? I did my research. I'm more than a cute face." She grins.

Bella hops and skips along the Maze of the Open Road, arms locked with her sister Khiari. The Maze is similar yet different enough from the Rose Witch's Garden. For one thing, Khiari is flummoxed every time she tries to climb over the Maze only to slow down about 15 feet above the ground and stops. To keep her distracted from the unnatural limitations, Bella challenges her to dance offs, or identifying flora along the way. Bella spends some time practicing her new magical abilities. Minor as they are it is fascinating to feel her fey blood flare up before she conjures brief protection for Khiari.

"Honorable Viltydus has helped us. It is only fair we return the favor." Bella curtsies just in time as the briefing begins. "Sidare, given name Bella. This is my sister, Khiari." The satyr waves.

"We shall look for a Scroll of Heroism from the Quartermaster. I can use it now. Finally."

She turns to the rest of the group. "My apologies for the sudden absence. Sidare Manor has had an ongoing debate and sister and I had to weigh in."
