Bella regrets to wipe the sweat off her face, but it is hot in Logas. The broth tastes horrible. The citizens can't tell their 6/8 from their 3/4 time signatures. They can give a 2 line rhyme after a few minutes with a pen.

Yet, Bella wouldn't have it any other way. Lagos is rebuilding.

On the 3rd day, Khiari nudges her awake.

During lunch, Bella greets her allies with a polite curtsy.

"Salutations. My sister brings good news. A potential ally in the investigation of my father's murder."

Khiari bows alongside Bella. "Yup, a fey lord who was friend of Dad's. She also knows a bit more about the Rose Witch, our sponsor. We gotta check it out. There's this wonderful lake/river/pond... it changes shape a lot. Anyway, we're going there."

Bella rises. "I will catch up to you all once I finish chaperoning Khiari. She tends to be distracted..."

Khiari grins. "Not my fault they're cute!" She waves to the group. "Besides when we're in the fey realm I'm in charge! You're my eidolon! Come on!"

Bella waves goodbye before spinning on her heels and giving chase.

Within the hour, both are gone, exploring the fey realm and its mysteries...

Aaaaaand my character page was wiped clean. Must have happened during the site outage. The only thing I actually lost was my GP count.

"A swift kick in the name of freedom!" Bella can't help herself. Khiari pats her on the back.

Despite Bella's bravado, she is quite polite as the citizens thank her. Is it not her duty to protect the populace? She is aware of her position and her training. Not everyone has access to her tutors.

As soon as they are dismissed, Bella and Khiari begin helping to rebuild the damage done to the city. Every stone, every laugh, every burial reminds them to continue onward. Their father's passing did inspire them to see the world beyond their manor gates, and they wouldn't trade it for anything else.

The forums tried their best to slow us down but we prevailed.

Full of Panache, Bella laughs as she reels back from the Heck knight's flail. "You've harassed so many while you lived." She nods to her sister as they continue the flank.

Kick: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
Bludgeoning Damage: 2d4 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3) + 3 + 3 = 11

"So go to hell and stop bothering us already!" Khiari kicks the Heck Knight's butt.
Hoof: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 13 - 4 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 4) + 3 = 13

Khiari puts so much force into her foot she almost falls over.
Hoof: 1d20 + 13 - 8 ⇒ (1) + 13 - 8 = 6

"And then there was one!" Bella hops and skips into flanking with Khiari. Bella has enough Speed to avoid movement based triggers.

Fist: 1d20 + 15 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 15 + 1 = 26
Bludgeoning Damage: 2d4 + 3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 + 3 + 1 = 9

Hoof: 1d20 + 13 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 13 - 4 + 1 = 29
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4, 6) + 3 + 1 = 14

With the Professor's lectures guiding them, Bella and Khiari kick the foe to and fro; Kicking order in the pants is an honored Sidare pasttime!

Bella realizes she has the world's attention on her for the last few days. She mustn't disappoint!

Acrobatics to tumble through Blue: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26

The first thing she does is scoot past the Blue fiend. Full of Panache, she hip checks them in just the right spot, hoping to scatter them to pieces. Khiari grins as Bella shakes what her mama gave her.

Fist: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Bludgeoning Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 1) + 3 = 6
Confident Finisher: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) = 6

Khiari hoots and follows up with a kick of her own.
Hoof: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 13 - 4 = 20
Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10

Is it my turn? Should I do something else with my last action?

"We must assist our friend, sister!"

GM, how high up are the braziers? That will determine if Bella Strides or uses Quick Jump to leap up the cliff.

Meanwhile, Khiari risks casting a spell. "TIMBERRRRRR!" She stomps the ground and a 15 ft long tree sprouts in front of her. She kicks it over on top of the Red and Blue clad knights.

It deals 4d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 1) = 8 Bludgeoning Damage. Basic Reflex Save DC 21. Critical Failure leaves them Dazzled

Now that Bella won't get clobbered for casting, she begins reading from the Scroll of Heal.

Heal: 3d8 ⇒ (8, 3, 7) = 18
Fort Save DC 21 to resist

Vines crawl around Bella, Khiari, Faehild and all three undead foes, trying to bring them to life before disintegrating.

Khiari hears Faehild's suggestion. "Can't touch this!" and slaps her behind as she ◆Strides closer to the braziers.

Bella realizes it's time to follow her sister. Well, not the posterior slap but the strategic retreat.

Bludgeoning Damage: 2d4 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4) + 3 + 3 = 13

First, however, a quick Elbow to the Blue armored foe's gut. Then she ◆Strides back.

I've played both. The second is definitely on the tougher side, but I do like the vibe.

Bella takes a practiced ◆Step back to set up a flank against the White clad soldier. No time to be fancy.

Khiari takes her chances and tumbles through the White-clad soldier as well.

The sisters are back to back. Hopefully this makes a flank harder to pull off.

Bella spent her reaction on >Flashy Dodge<, so her AC is 26 vs the AC 22 attack. So it should have missed even with the flank. Unfortunately that means she can't spend her reaction on Opportune Riposte.

"As always, I'm the center of attention!" Bella feels full of Panache as she dodges the flail by a hair. "For an honored order, you are quite clumsy!" She uses the dodge of her momentum to deliver a spinning kick to the soldier wearing White armor.

Critical Specialization Effect(Brawling): The target must succeed at a Fortitude save against your class DC or be slowed 1 until the end of your next turn.

Bella takes a ◆Step back as Khiari ◆jogs into position. "Nice kick, sis! That was almost as good as me!"

Bella draws and holds onto her scroll of Heal. It will definitely come in handy...

"Order of the Open Grave? What terrible naming! It's so... blunt. No alliteration? No whimsy?" Bella begins a performative comedy sketch, directed at the White-clad undead in front of her.

With her 30 ft speed, she takes a wide trot around her target. ◆ Bella has 35 Speed (30 without Panache) so she can Stride into position without Triggering a Reaction from White. Assuming they have one.

Then she follows with an elbow to her foe's midsection.

Khiari suggests turning their adventure into a tale of divine sailors who swear upon the power of the moon to banish the imps and undead. Bella suggested the name "Desna's Angels" but Khiari disagreed.

"Such disrespect." Bella looks amid the scattered laboratory. "And such filth..." She glances at the bloody liver and the laboratory notes.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

"Madam Valais will get a better use out of this than we will." She snatches the perfect collection of notes and puts them together in a coherent order.

"Oh man, that imp was so scared!" Khiari giggles. "Nothing better than a prank with a purpose!"

As they find the locked door, Bella draws a small collection of hairpins and wire.

Thievery: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

She fiddles with the lock for a bit before it clicks open.

Hard mode is fine with me.

"hehe... Meh Knights..." Khiari can't help but laugh.

Bella simply smirks. "I'm not a fan of joining your legion for a variety of reasons. The armor, for one thing. Infernal Brimstone is simply NOT my style."

"The smell must be horrid. I bet you haven't removed that chestplate in weeks."

"And third-"

Bella quickly dances around the soldier.

Assuming she is still conscious she shrugs and goes for a Spartan kick right in the chest.

Bella finds herself surrounded. Good, now they can see her one-woman waltz. Especially the fellow in Red armor.

With the enemy distracted she lands an inspired fist on the fellow in Red.

"Their armor needs a good wash." Bella tries to scoot underneath the Red armored monster.

That was terrible. If I failed the check I'll Stride around as my second action. Either way this will trigger reactions from White even if I did succeed.

Bella points at the soldier in White. "You there! How do you keep your armor so spotless despite eternal decay?" A simple question that will hopefully distract it.

Bella ◆Strides into flanking position with Meat Wagon and Stitch.

GM, did my DC 20 Fascinating Performance succeed? Either way Bella is going to kick Red once.

Professor Bun Bun makes a demand, and the Hellknights seem to comply. "Your words cut through their will like a blade."

Khiari snorts. "I mean, duh... Look at those bones! He's deadly!"

Bella grins and dashes into combat, hopping and skipping as far she can in a single ◆Stride.

She hopes this catches the attention of the Red armored fiend as she makes a ◆Fascinating Performance.

Bella's hands are a bit too close to the dog. Surely it won't bite her.

Well, it did. But it won't bite her twice.

A third time? Impossible, there's no way-

Bella forms a ball of ice in her hands and slaps the hound in response.

Bella tries to stall while the Professor cleans himself before presenting himself to a new guest, but alas, he's too eager.

Bella bounds in front and debates whether to bow or curtsy.

Curtsy it is.

"Sidare, given name Bella. A pleasure to meet you Faehild." Bella stands back up. "My sister Khiari is... sampling Goblin society."

Bella's feet are covered in mud at this point, but she doesn't seem to notice. Her posture and demeanor suggest a noble upbringing, but sometimes she dances her foot a bit.

Khiari sports a green shirt, a short yellow scarf around her neck, and legs covered in gray fur. Eventually she sits up and wipes the mud off of her curved horns. "So much better!" She walks up and offers a muddy hand to shake. "I'll let our Goblin friend here introduce himself."

Faehild notices the faint trace of a glowing sigil on both Bella and Khiari. Bella's armor, near her torso faintly glows a purple rose, while the same rose sigil glows green on Khiari's hip.

Hanging on the back by a hand and a toe, Bella leaps off of Meat Wagon as he comes to a stop in the middle of the camp. Her shoes are muddy already but it takes no more attention from her than a simple glance.

"Meat Wagon, I thank you for transport. But... let's not do that again."

Yes, I'm at 68 XP right now.

Hopefully my job says I can work from home tomorrow. But I don't check my work stuff until 9 AM on the dot. I'll check before I head out, though.

"Oh, Chileax will consider us meddlers no matter what we did." Bella laughs. "Keep your silver close and your cold iron closer." Bella fiddles with the flying dagger.

Khiari shrugs. "I do have a few noblemen who asked about a date... Can't leave my fans disappointed!"

Bella sighs. "More idiots I'll have to slap." She pauses. "Verbally, of course." She waves goodbye to her teammates.

"Well, that explains the drawing. He's been away for much too long." Bella speaks plainly, not bothering with her usual noble tact. "Who knows what deals he made in the meantime?"

Vardarel manages to lead them away afterward to show them the note. Bella and Khiari raise eyebrows as Vardarel shows them the signature. "The importance of this? Is this her infernal majesty?"

"Sister! Hold the line!" Bella and Khiari nod in perfect unison.

"Besides, the Lady managed to flee right behind the captain."

Bella tries to feint but it's not working. So she just slaps the Pink-clad captain.

Khiari giggles and tries to kick the Red guy.

"Always a critic, trying to ruin the Great Vardarel's performance!" Bella spits some blood and decides to oversell it in front of the Pink Captain.

Khiari gasps to make it seem like the captain did some real damage. He did, Khiari can feel her neck getting sore, but you've got to sell it.

"What." Bella utters, dropping her polite demeanor for pure confusion.

Khiari thinks for a minute before replying. "Sis, he said sabulous."

"Of course he did. I knew that." Bella clears her throat.

"Smooth your attire sabulous"
"Heroism renders you fabulous?"

She tilts her head.

"Bah. I'll think of a better rhyme later. We don't have much time."

"Now, who wants Heroism?"

Oh right, I was thinking of the earlier encounter. Both can be quite difficult if you don't have the right abilities.

I have no trouble spending a replay on it, though. Same with Crashing Wave. My sorceress is already dealing with aquatic combat, and I had a ranger and his wolf try to figure out how to shoot things underwater.

Bella pulls out her scroll of Heroism and reads from it. "Hmm... what rhymes with fabulous?" It turns to ash in her hands as she helps...

Anyone wants Heroism? Bella will take it if no one speaks up.

I'll be at 68 XP after this. I guess I'll need to GM a level 6 game to give her some bonus XP. I should have given some of the Electric games to her. Oh well...

Bella and Khiari write a play about traffic circles, roundabouts and rotaries in which a pair of buffoon devil drivers argue over their differences while refusing to exit the circle. Their master is unamused but is bound by traffic law. For plausible deniability the passenger is not Asmodeus.

Deception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

"Look at that, the world's largest sausage!" Bella points around the corner. "I can see it from here!"

The crowd quickly tires of the small portions of meat and begin to move aside to check out the giant sausage vendor that is certainly around the corner.

"There. Let us proceed." Bella waves to the driver.

"Ah, fans of Asmodeus are blocking the way." She turns to her teammates. "Khiari and I shouldn't steal the show. You can go first."

I'm still level 6, I'd have to swap to my Sorceress, but she's tied up in an adventure right now. I'm fine with either game.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33

"Through the thoroughfare!"
"Right on the road!"
"Rip across the roundabout-"

"Sis, they're called rotaries!" Khiari calls out.

"No, they are officially traffic circles. This is what happens when you drink that awful coffee from that restaurant."

"I needed caffeine!" Khiari bleats. "Besides, traffic circles aren't roundabouts! They're different!"

It's not clear if the sisters are paying attention to the nausea, but it does serve as a role model for everyone else.
