An old, bedraggled Dwarven woman opens the door with a cross look on her face and looks the man up and down. Her eyes settling on the Asmodean symbols and barely hearing the word 'barrister' before slamming the door in his face. "Wrong Lodge, yer kind gather down in the sewers." She hollers through the door before hiking her skirt back up and sitting down to finish her beer.

Chels breed them guys like cockroaches! GAH!

Marcie isn't sure who to shake her head at more... Halla or Rowena. "That place ain't somewhere's I'm goin' back to. And if ya are gonna bring in a bunch more dust nerds then next time bring more guards! And be sure you warn 'em 'bout what they're getting into first." She scoffs and heads below deck to find a drink and a soft bed.

I'm all for some neat history but some history is best left buried in the sand.

Ya those with K Religion tend to be pretty limited, and you've only got 1 round at best to do something before they activate. I just haven't read enough rules on them to be smooth and less clunky than say a regular trap is.

Haunts in my opinion weren't done well. I like the idea of a spooky type of trap but the mechanics just don't feel right.

Marcie pulls herself to the top of the rope to find a quiet, creepy cavern filled with wired up, dangling corpses over head. None of which at least appear to be her teammates. "Where'd you all go off to? This ain't no time fer games." She browses around the area to try to figure out where they went, not to mention keep her cool.

Dangling from the rope partway down Marcie hollers up to the others "What in the hells is going on up there? Shut those damned corpses up!" She starts climbing back up, holding the rope tightly.

"Good God that sounds like an angry mob of drunks that don't know a good drum solo when they hear one." She gives the statue the hairy eyeball from the back of the line as Blacky and her sparkly puss do too.

"Finding anything good? That cheek thing might be another piece of this thing we've got. Think its possible to toss that creepy ass statue down into the pit? Or maybe we should go down there and investigate..." She drags out her length of rope and grapple.

She rigs it up and prepares to head down for a look-see. Take 10 climb for 15 on the knotted rope.

As the group all moves across, well except full plate Reggie, Bash looks back and quips "Try not to stare at my ass the whole way darling! I must admit, I'd have a hard time!" She blows him a kiss and wobbles it a bit before clinging back to the wall and continuing on.

Damn that was almost embarrassing.

Once Marcie finishes off healing those bruised and battered, she grabs up the case filled with medical contraptions "Huh, nifty looking stuff. Must be a doctor's bag or something." She stuffs the find into her backpack and away they go.

As they stare ahead into the dank pit with the narrow ledge around the edge she gets a bit frank with the situation "See this here? This is where something bad always happens... mark my words!"

If no one else volunteers she'll take her time (take 10 for a 16 acrobatics to shimmy along the edge to the other side.

I never play bards, the performance visual just catches me wrong I guess. I don't like how verbal bards are in a better situation with both hands free.

All in all though they are quite good at what they do, not that I'm built for efficiency. I figured I could play a bard that was loud, crass and had some fire power.

Marcie changes her beat at the end once Black Midnight lands the killing blow Baarummpt TISS! As the ghastly ghoulie falls over dead squared.

"Holy smokes my boobs are sweatin' like a pig on Easter over here! You guys ok? Lemme fix you up quick." Marcie takes everyone's wands and heals them up right quick before she wipes the sweat from her brow with her dress sleeve.

"Now let's find the rest of those people... keep yer eyes open, there could be more down here like traps or more... whatever that was."

Ok I'll renew my 1st level slot then. Good work for sure. Things aren't near as easy with a 4 player group vs 6. Especially if one is a lowly bard!

Bash's drum beat comes to a sudden halt as Reggie freezes in place from the ghoul's touch. With a single, sudden THUD she gives him a chance to fight off the paralysis one more time.

Use Saving Finale (my last 1st level spell of the day FYI). Reroll that fort save Reggie!

Sorry man, I was 5' short and since I already was holding your charge I couldn't use a more potent casting of my own magic. Next round!

Also, since I actually cast the spell last round and only needed to touch him to transfer the spell, could I cast it again this round for a double healing essentially? I couldn't imagine a touch on an ally is a standard action?

Marcie continues drumming her war beat as she hustles up towards Reggie, whom she unfortunately can't quite reach thanks to this stubby legs she's always hated. If I had long luscious Elven or Human legs this wouldn't be a problem!

As she goes she draws out Reggie's healing wand just in case, and activates it, holding the charge in her hand.

"There! Behind the altar!" Marcie points to the now obvious undead as she draws her sap and begins pounding out a thunderous beat on her war drum.

"I think its casting a spell. Time to put the boots to 'em guys, its time for WAR!"

My opinion is to grab that relic after we've returned the survivors.

Marcie listens on, helping everyone climb the ladder rungs "When did ya first see them freaks? Did they show up outta no where or only after ya broke into the place? Did they speak at all?" She asks as she shares her water skin, a ragged looking, frequently stitched goat bladder.

With a quick spell Marcie confirms the magic attached to the cheek-shaped device "Yep, its magic of some sort alright. If ya wanna know more then ya best hire a wizard er somethin."

Marcie steps up to help the Halfling carry the deceased pathfinder back to the stairs. Her stocky build and a life living outdoors makes it an easy chore. "Aye. Let's get these guys back ta the rest of the crew." She says with a nod, her drum bouncing off her hip as she takes short steps.

Marcie finally separates the good from the bad and ugly. She raises her sap high and slams it into the drum head with such force a blast of sonic energy explodes in the center of the hallway, ringing the ears of all inside. BOOM!

I'm hoping to use a thundercall here but I can't tell where the enemies and the bodies are exactly to avoid collateral damage... any help GM?

So I'll either sound burst some of them or I'll inspire courage depending on locations of friends and foes.

Marcie covers her mouth and coughs away the dust before moving along with the group towards the next room and the heap of corpses "What in the bloody Hells" She moves into the room a bit to investigate the corpses.

"Let's hope these are old and not fresh..." Heal, DC12: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 However her investigation is quickly side tracked by the sheer number of naked males present. "I haven't seen this many naked buttocks since that Fey festival..."

I would say to check the areas that have been disturbed first to hasten finding survivors.

Marcie hustles to catch up after her no go on tracking "Yick. Them guys forgot their night time moisturizer routine or something. There's gotta be something tricky goin' on here, eyes open folks."

She looks around for trickery. Perception and detect magic, DC15: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

She quickly points out the statues aren't statues at all. They are the petrified corpses of sacrificial victims. The figures have their throats and wrists slit and most of their mouths are sewn shut. Some of them have their forearms separated between the ulna and radius, splitting even the fingers of the hands to create additional appendages. Others have portions of their skulls removed and replaced with a different, leathery material. Some have modifications to their torsos, in which the ribs have been split, pried out, and sharpened to points. One figure in the middle of this display sits with its arms raised, palms out. Its teeth have been pulled out, filed to points, and then embedded into its hands.

"And people complain about politics these days. Imagine living back then and having to deal with crap like this!" She pokes the first 'statue' with her sap.

Marcie waves the others over as she points out some goo on the broken stone "Ain't nothin' I've seen out in the wilds. Must be some sorta underground beastie." She has her sap and drum out and assumes position behind the front line, giving Rowdy a quick pet on the backside.

Marcie gets to the bottom and takes in the sights of the frescoes with a whistle "Dang! I've been in some umm.. group situations.. in my time, but nothin' as crazy as that. Looks like this place was pretty nasty." She double checks her buckler and drum before taking a closer look at the broken wall. Wonder what did this, maybe it'll help..

Take 20 on perception on the wall while they finish lowering down the wolf, trying to get an idea what/how it got smashed. 28 including stonecunning.

As the Harpy declines the invitation Marcie shrugs and blows her a kiss "Your loss honey, now scootch on outta here before we stomp yer face in!"

"If you've got that covered I'm gonna check up where that bird woman was perched, see if she left any clues." She pulls out a rope and grapple and gets to work trying to hook it and climb up the knotted rope.

Marcie seems distracted. Doesn't say much of anything as she follows along, but she does try to get in the good graces of both the wolf and cat, tossing them bits of food on occasion when their owners aren't looking. Pets, who doesn't love pets? A dog at your feet to keep them warm and a cat to pet on your boobs.. perfect.

A stocky Dwarven women sits on the rail of the ship looking uncomfortable as the long, rolling waves bob the ship up and down. UP AND DOWN.. over and over.
