a few questions about diseases 1) any chance for a character to realize they're under a disease before the drawbacks hits? 2) at this dorment stage can the player or other player attempt heal check to identify the disease? 3) can you fully recover from a disease without magical or use of items by regaining a point of ability damage a day? 4) Second save you make against a disease will that be before or after the penalty sets in? 5) When is an object a creature and when is it food? Purify food and water can remove diseases, poisons etc from food but not from creatures, so if you kill a poison frog does it still count as a creature when dead or would it count as food that can be targeted?
Was wondering if anyone got some suggestions for a Swallow Whole build.
Any suggestions? should I look at another subtype so I could get poison and disease? or could it be done for this archtype?
Having in the past considered getting a Glyptodon animal companion, I discovered It isn't listed as a legal PFS companion.
Just wondering if alternative racial traits such as "Mostly human" would allow a player to go by a mix between human and the given race for this(as long as the character stay the same category) Could an Oread mostly human for instance be something like 5'5f tall instead of the general Oread's max height of 5'0f tall? (given that humans can be up to 6'6 tall) Also when comparing the Oread to the other elemental races they appear to have a much stronger connection to dwarfs than humans. Be it their height, speed, weight or even feats. Going by the listed numbers you could have a mostly human looking girl of 3'11 f with a weight of anything from 134 ibs to 204 ibs. In BMI measures thats a minimum of 42.6 and a max of 64.9 and could this height difference have in game significance, such as being abile to reach areas more easily or dug under more easily, or even help qualify for feats traits etc where height weight and age are of importance. What do you think?
Is there a way to get these 3 spells on the same character? character idea: Turn people into trees
Either go CN and be a npc that just like to mess things around or be a Neutral pc that teach how to see the world from both the eyes of the hunter & the hunted and user and abuser view.
A couple of months ago I finished playing "serpents skull" where i played a lore warden focused on ranged tripping. I could trip flying targets, I could trip huge targets, and when we finished at lvl 17 I had + 41(42 pbs) to my ranged trip attempts and my tripped targets would provoke aoos from me.
So aside the archer archtype that could have gotten trip on each arrow, is there a way to make this work(my problem was i could only get 1 tripping arrow a turn to work with my feat selection) Basically the choice turned into try to trip the target an do little damage or take away half if not all the hp of the target(and possibly hit more tagets).
Was wondering if anyone tried out having an entire group consisting of mounted characters? If so how was the experience? If not what do you think of the idea? Could be something like an organization with all sort of classes they just all have to be mounted(preferable also workable in close combat) I just think it could bring a much different experience and be pretty interesting to see 4-7 lined up regiment moving around. Probably should be for a home game. Finally how would you make the strongest mounted unit if everyone were to be mounted on animals and be able to move with the unit?(at the majority of the time)
Haven't played a channeling build before and been looking a bit at a couple of options and was hopining i could get an opinion and advice to what to go for? Character Idea 1)
This option would be almost reduced to complete support with 9 channels a day at lvl 1 a decent capability vs undead, but against anything else would more or less be reduced to limited buffer, Utility and probably moving into flank with total defense. Do you guys think this build would end up getting boring in the long run? Is it way to weak? would it be better to change to 12 str and 7 dex instead? Character Idea 2)
Future levels will be Sacred Huntsman Inquisitor and or with a few levels of Warpriest oracle splashed in. Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? Advice?
1)I've previously been told that a Half elf can choose their favored class bonus from Half-Elf, Elf & Human.
2) Could "Drow-Heritage" be taken along with "Dragon Soul"? and then choose to count as "Drow,Human, Dragon" or "Drow,Elf, Dragon" ?
Pretty straight forwards could something like "Familiar bond" and other feats quallify you for "improved familiar" and be able to choose one of the familuiars without having a caster level=?
anything else i should know about iths?
was wondering is it possible for a companion to ride a player? lets say you got an intelligent monkey companion as a druid an turn into a horse, could the monkey then have taken mounted combat and get the bonuses with that? If not on an animal could another type of companion such as a phantom, drake companion, eidolon etc be able to do so given the right size and intelligence?
Would a dwarf with the travel domain and aspect of the stag(hunter) running, have a movement speed of 35f+ while heavily encumbered in a heavy armor? Would slow and steady only work on land movement speed or also effect climbing and swimming to since they're related to the movement speed, unless you have a climb/swim speed?
In recent months i've more and more been focusing my character updates on online character sheets thinking it was the better way, but I might have lost the majority of my character sheets like many others with the myth-weavers data loss. Are the characters now unplayable, are they to be remade as close to what they were or to be remade?
To most a worthless topic, but I can't help but be curious why was this Sauropod chosen as a representative for the "Titanosaurs" group? Since it isn't the dinosaur's scientific name anymore and the info about the dinosaur also sound remarkable outdated(basing it of d20 though) All of this makes me wonder is this to "make up" the dinosaur that so many thought they knew growing up? I admit I liked the name Brontosaurus better than Apatosaurus and have grown up with it as the biggest dinosaur in Dinoriders and hearing about it's name in the Flintstones. I'm also curious if we perhaps one day might get the heavy weight "Argentinosaurus" in pathfinder a dinosaur that going by wikipedia should be anything from 2x the size of "Brontosaurus" all the way up to 7-8 times as heavy
Could a native outsider be effected by a person spell if consumed rather than targeted? I seem to recall hearing something along these lines, but have also heard that there's no such exception.
Any help`? Could a regular Aasimar Alchemist be effected by their own enlarge or reduce person? By chance do any of you have a link to a list of person spells?(dominate person, enlarge person, reduce person, charm person any others?)
I was hoping that I could get a clarification on the text under the "Border Defender fighter archtype" "When he is wearing medium or armor, the border defender adds half his armor training bonus feats on combat maneuver checks for the selected maneuver." >>"Medium or armor"<< I assume this should be either "Medium Armor" or "Medium or Heavy Armor" or maybe "Medium or Light armor" by chance is there a clarification on this or is it just to be assumed medium armor?
Are order of the Paw penalized for taking the "Charger" archtype on their mount? It's supposed to be a bonus to the mount, but the way it's written sounds like this bonus is instead a penalty for this order. Order of the paw says:
Charger Archtype says: "Mounted Challenge (Ex) When ridden by a cavalier, chargers gain half of the bonuses and penalties granted by the cavalier's challenge class feature. This ability replaces share spells*.
Did this just take away half the bonus instead of giving half a bonus?
I was hoping someone could help me out with the options of archtypes that early get access to "reposition feats", "Combat Expertise" and/or "Dirty Fighting"(to get access to the reposition feats. I've stumbled over the "Lore Warden"(Fighter) and the "Sage Counselor"(Monk) In other words i'm searching for class options to multiclass with my bard that'll be build around ranged bullrush and ranged repositioning.
1)lets say we got a human str 15, dex 10, con 12, int 12, wis 8, cha 12 and a wolf str 13, dex 15, con 15, int 2, wis 12 and cha 6 would the werewolf then have the stats: str 15(+2), dex 15, con 15(+2), int 12, wis 12, cha 12? Going by the following "" In human form, the lycanthrope's ability scores are unchanged from the base creature's form. In animal and hybrid form, the lycanthrope's ability scores are the same as the base creature's or the base animal's, whichever ability score is higher."" 2)In Wolf form does the character get additional attacks with more bab or is it like on player characters limited to what natural attacks it has? 3) Since the wolf only has it's bite attack does it get +1½ times str mod on the damage like the wolf animal companion? 4) Any advice or warnings about playing a werewolf?(it's in a campaign with silver weapons more common than usual)
It's mostly the realization that it might be possible to have an insane amount of attacks at lvl 1. Is this even legal in something like PFS and would you allowed it at your table? Tengu Hunter with Cha 13+ (feat taken evolved companion wing attacks)
~
d3+2,d3+2,d3+2 Roc Companion (+2 Dex from animal focus)(weapon finesse)
+6,+6,+6,+1,+1 damage: d6+1,d4+1,d4+1,d4+1,d4+1
Playing a character who has gone slow progress since his creation, but just finished a scenario that would make half GP into something like 252.5 gp. 1)Can every scenario in PFS be played Slow progress? 2)If not, would it be possible to give the chronicle sheet to another character since the scenario was a lvl 1-2? And not being told I couldn't do slow progress.
1)Be it through items or half-orc favored class bonus do they still max out at 20 or keep going? 2) if they're wasted, when are they wasted? Could the brawlers "Close Weapon Mastery" which count dmg as unarmed strike 4 levels lower making a theoretical lvl 20 turn to 16 and then add the bonus from items or half-orc(which would require 16 favored class bonuses to get the weapon up at 20 again
lvl 19 and lvl 20 lorewarden. Reading on the lore warden's "Know Weakness"
By chance have i misunderstood this? "Know Weakness (Ex) At 19th level, a lore warden can automatically confirm a critical hit once per round when he threatens a critical hit. This ability replaces armor mastery." "Weapon Mastery (Ex) At 20th level, a fighter chooses one weapon, such as the longsword, greataxe, or longbow. Any attacks made with that weapon automatically confirm all critical threats and have their damage multiplier increased by 1 (×2 becomes ×3, for example). In addition, he cannot be disarmed while wielding a weapon of this type."
Was considering the option of playing a character that eventually could be Diminutive as long as he please.
Is the character to small to be attackked or grabbed by some of the larger monsters for instance?(or can they still make their ordinary rolls? )
