Azora moves forward and off to the side. Taking advantage of her weapon's superior length, she jabs at one of the canines. Longspear vs BLUE (reach/Bless): 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 + 1 = 20

"Closed?!?! But we came ALL the way here. Come on friend, sell us a drink. I mean you are literally in the drink selling business. One little mead ain't gonna get anyone in trouble. Be a pal, will you?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

Still not convinced that there is not a conspiracy brewing, Azora grudgingly offers the ledgers over the to venture captain. "This still does not feel right. I mean, if Zig is an assassin, why would his friend just hand over the evidence that might help to prove his guilt."
Female Ifrit Oracle/3 hp 27/27 AC 17 Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +3 Init +7; Darkvision 60 ft.; Perception +1
Azora holds firm to the ledgers, not ready to turn them over yet. "No, that's not what I'm saying at all. We just discovered these, and we didn't have time to tell anyone upon our return. So how does Roderus know what we found before we found it? He told us to look for contracts and proof of sabotaged goods. This ledger might not be either. For all we know it's a forgery. We all saw Zig earlier. He was the only one happy to be here. Something is definitely off with this entire situation. It's all too easy." She looks at her team. "I mean, look at us. With all the trained operatives in the organization, they called us? If they want to win a fight, we're the ones. But an investigation? None of us are detectives, not by a long shot." Her eyes burn with intensity, "I think we're being played for patsies." She turns back toward the venture captain, "I may be out of line, and that's my behind if it's the case. But I can't in good conscience turn this evidence over just yet. There are simply too many questions."

Azora cocks her head to the side. "Um...we never mentioned if we actually discovered anything, incriminating or otherwise, or that we returned with any kind of evidence." (unless this is just a GM way to move things along).

"Agreed. This is not the kind of mission I am usually assigned to." A thought occurs to the oracle. She turns back toward the Goblin, "How much does Phlegos pay you?". Azora looks through the ledger to see if payments are actually coming out Pathfinder funds.

Azora approaches the shop clerk. "Um...I mean no offense, but I cannot help but notice the number of...your kind that Phlegos employs. How did you meet him? Is ha a good boss? Are you helping him with a Pathfinder mission?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

A look of confusion passes across the oracle. "Um...Hi? Are you open?" Why is anyone here? And there were gobbo's back at the party too. That's weird. It's also not a coincidence. Well, probably not.

Azora nods in agreement. Granted, she didn't really have a head for numbers. And while she had been called graceful in the past, the ifrit knew she was no trained infiltrator. Especially in her armor. However, she would not allow that to be a deterrent. Not with something so important at stake. You ever have that feeling when you realized that you've brought the wrong character to the table. I had a rogue or an investigator I could have played that would have been much better suited. Ah well, c'est la vie.

Azora follows after Wulessa. "Excuse me ma'am. I couldn't help but notice your brief altercation back there. He seemed very aggressive, which goes against just about all the tenets The Pathfinders Society is supposed to venerate. Is there any chance that he is not...in his right mind? Could he have fallen under the influence of some artifact, curse, or spell caster with a nefarious purpose?" With a shrug, "Maybe we should be looking for a solution to a different problem."

@Rogarch, actually, no it is not. In my time playing and running PFS, most scenarios requiring a skill check provide that information so players can best distribute their efforts (like the chase mechanic). This is one of the times where F2F games holds a slight advantage over PbP. At a table this communication would be quick and seamless. On the Play by Post boards, a minor confusion can slow the progress of a game considerably. There are time when clarification is needed. This allows players to return their focus to role playing. If a GM takes issue with that, I assume they would have a conversation with the player privately via PM. I made the choice to ask for clarification, but then make a roll so as to expedite game play. Nothing more. What IS meta-gaming is looking a character's statistics and telling players what task they should attempt. Please refrain from making any more commentary or suggestions to me or my character in the future. Your judgement of me as a player is not wanted, needed, or cared for.

@GM Qstor: Is there a list of the actual skills to be used? Can we try skills untrained? How many can we attempt? Azora has a +10 Diplomacy, so I would rather play to a strength (assuming these checks matter). Appropriate Skill check: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Perhaps the most stereotypical looking ifrit ponders the request. Long red hair is pulled back into a tight braid, but there are wisps that still manage to hang down across her face. "Infighting? Why did I think that was more of an Aspis thing?" How worried is he?

Azora is actually disappointed in Sephiriel's shenanigans. Is everyone overlooking the fact that created by magic or not, a life ended? And if the clone was irrelevant, then why did we just spend the last two months of our lives protecting it? I am beginning to have some serious doubts about The Decemverate. She sees it as her duty to participate in the celebration, but her heart is obviously not in it. The ifrit muses to herself throughout the evening. Still, the team acquitted itself quite well. Everyone did their job and came through when called upon.

A fierce smile sizzles across the ifrit's lips. "It was you two knuckle heads? And you picked NOW to come forward? I think I speak for all of us. We are going to enjoy knocking the salt outta both of you chumps." With a spark of concentration, the head of her spear bursts into flame. Activating Fire Blessing {Second use of 2. To save your scrolling all the way back to Page 2, This post is immediately after the fight on deck. "Wait. It's true. Captain Veane came out stumbling from his quarters, by himself. Assuming there is no direct route from his room to the decks below, there is no possibility that was him going into the hold."

"That you didn't immediately head to the top deck to see who or what was attacking your ship. Quite the opposite in fact. You went well below decks, to the hold, before investigating the assault team boarding the vessel. An attack which was repelled with no assistance from your very own crew." She smiles, "For a man who is responsible for the well being of passengers and the actions of his crew, you sure have a funny way of showing it." She pauses a moment before continuing, "Maybe you can help us understand why." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
