We have just arrived here and this giants attacked us. I am Axis Vannya of Greenlight. May I know your names, good sirs?" Meanwhie Cernan flies about, checking their auras for evil and magic.

Axis advances, takes a vial with a little butter from his component pouch and speaks the incantation as he draws a simbol in the air. Cernan uses some of his innate magic, hoping to hinder the giant. Then Axis shifts them away.

Axis moves around the rubble until he has a clear shot to the giant, takes from his component pouch and starts casting. He points to the giant and two rays of fire shoot from his fingers. Just as the spell strkes the giant, the mage vanishes and reappears fifteen feet away. Axis moves to I32, casts scorching ray 1st ray 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Axis observes that the giant is sufficiently away to concentrate on the ogres for now. He takes a pinch of ground mica from his spell component pouch as he starts chanting. He moves his nimble fingers in the accurate gestures of the spell. When he finishes, he blows the mica towards the ogres and a cloud of swirling gold motes explodes around them, covering them in sparkling dust. Axis casts a DC 19 glitterdust

Cernan wakes Axis up when morning arrives. The azata needs no rest, so he has stood watch over the mage during the night. At Falko's complain about his breakfast he uses prestidigitation to change it's taste Better? I could conjure a mount, but only for myself. So it seems that we are walking.

Axis looks to Falko As none of us is evil, we needn't fear whatever holy magics their celestial heritage bestows upon them, and surely they'll search for wickedness in our auras before engaging us in enemity. He takes his bedroll out of his magical backpack Otherwise I agree with you, Falko, although I don't think it will be quite so easy.

Axis turns toward the new arrivals "Winjett, Lord Morav, I am Axis Vannya, wizard, sage and alchemist, and this is my familiar, Cernan." He looks curiously to the scrolls the brother has taken from his mule's saddlebags, and waits.

Axis stands up and cleans the dirt of his clothes with a cantrip. He raises an eyebrow. "It's the doing of the church of Muir, then, our meeting here?" the mage asks. Cernan examines the aura of the priest. "Axis, he doesn't sense as evil, nor does he have any magic on him."

Axis thinks about the significance of the dreams. "It seems the dreams have brought us together... In my dreams there was no hawk guiding me, it was more a sense of urgency. There was a dark city in the distance and it felt dangerous" Cernan tilts his head, as if alerted of something "Axis, there's a horse aproaching" He says, and then more quietly "And something on the hill has moved some rocks." Cernan will be checking the horseman for evil and magic

His calm expression turns momentarily into a frown. He reaches for his familiar "If I may" he says, before vanishing in the blink of an eye and reappearing next to the fire. He sits down, with the lirakyen on his lap "As you see, yes, I'm the real kind. My family has always practiced wizardry and I apprenticed under an elven archamage."

Axis walks leisurely along the road, not feeling the cold of the night or that of the wind. His familar flies about, playing a journey song on the fiddle, delighted wiht the travelling. When they catch a glimpse of a fire, Axis gestures for silence.

Axis looks like a tall and slim half-elf, with little black horns curving backwards from his forehead. His skin has the paleness of death, and his long hair is a pearly white-silver. His eyes are completely black, and when angered they glow like burning coal. He doesn't wear much jewelery: a delicate white gold and platinum circlet with saphires of clearly elven craftsmanship, a simple silver and pearl earring, the signet ring of the Vannya family and a silver ring with a row of small diamonds. He always has the ebon holy simbol of Freya his long dead mother gave him when he was little as a necklace, alongside a carved medallion of blessed mahogany. He wears elegant elvencrafted court finery of pure white with silver embroidery of leaves and butterflies. His familiar Cernan (a lyrakien azata) is never far from him, usually sitting on his shoulder, perching on his head or resting in his backpack. Cernan has dark skin, bright green hair in a ponytail, solid golden eyes and wings resembling those of a queen alexandra's birdwing. He wears a short linen tunic and white leather pants.

Born to Melissa Darkwood, priestess of Freya and the young half-elven mage Roderik Vannya, Axis was raised on the temple of the godess in Starhaven, a great trading city at the edge of the Great Plains. He had a good childhood in the temple, becoming an acolyte and started learning magic from his father, until his tiefling heritage manifested in his teens. His mother rejected him and cast him off the temple. His father, on the other hand, took him to the ancestral elven stronghold of Greenlight, where he aprenticed under his father's teacher, the elven archmage Kiran. His father and Kiran treated him well, but the other elves where rude if not downright malicious, so he abandoned his teacher's tower in Greenlight and started adventuring.
