5 foot step to J-27

Fortunately, the giant wild blow has open his guard and Balasiel blows easily find their mark, nearly cutting off one of the legs of the towering humanoid.

Balasiel Damian, can you update your HP temp totals, please. And do not forget the +2 to damage and attack you have from Falco.
Balasiel is at 58/81 and Damian is at 24/53.
It's now Damian's turn.

Male Pitborn Tiefling Paladin/7

Damian staggers beneath the giant's club, but he grunts the pain away and silently summons the golden light of divine wrath into his blade, further imbuing it with all his thirst for vengeance against the evil of the world. With a unhurried step, he moves next to the beast and strikes with all his might.

Extra damage from Damian's holy sword. 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7, the Giant is indeed Evil.

It seems I forgot Ogre2 saving throw at the end of its previous turn. So here it is, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17, no luck

The still blinded Ogre stumbles on the battlefield, trying to reach his leader.

Double move (with half speed) to KL23-24. New save vs glitterdust.1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Seeing as the others seem to have the giant well in hand, Falko steps back and intones a short incantation. Hoping to trick the blind ogre, he produces a sound near its head, as if a giant sword had just missed its head by a hair, but coming from another direction than the group.

Still, he pushes his comrades to press their attacks:
"That thing sure can swing!
But steel for steel it'll soon keel!"

The Ogre hears the sound but, feeling no air rush by its hair, quickly figures it's a decoy.

Winnjet

Female Tiefling Rogue (Survivalist) / 7

Repositioning herself if needed so that she is more than a single move action away from the giants, Winjett switches aim, and shoots at the biggest threat.

That's a hit but not a critical one.

Winnjet bolt is one again on target and the giant is now visible wounded.

Kestrel and Axis

Round 3

Kestrel sees the giant and the ogre cluster together, and bolts straight towards the giant. He inhales sharply once he gets close, and breathes a gout of flame at both creatures.

Mechanics:

Move: Move to F26.
Standard: Fire Breath on the giant, he takes 7d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 2, 1, 3, 2, 3) = 17 fire damage, Reflex save DC 17 for half.

Giant reflex save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15, Ogre2 reflex save 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Both the giant and Ogre are hit by the flame and the smell of burnt meat fills the area.

Aleted by the noise, some of the Camp denizen seem to have stopped their activites and start to come out of their house. From the wooden building supporting a stone chimney, a tall and thin man comes out, wearing a leather apron and carrying a heavy hammer. Crossing his arms, he scan the scen calmly, his pale blue eyes setting on each of you one after another. On your left, a black hooded figure come out from the mud and brick tower and stands on the three steps leading to the dark interior, under the skull and scythe ensign.

Axis

Male Grimspawn Conjurer (teleportation) Wizard 7

Axis advances, takes a vial with a little butter from his component pouch and speaks the incantation as he draws a simbol in the air.

Cernan uses some of his innate magic, hoping to hinder the giant.

Then Axis shifts them away.

Axis moves to I30 and casts Grease on the giant's weapon. DC 18 reflex save or drop the weapon.
Cernan casts Lesser Confusion on the giant. DC 16 will save or become confused for 1 round.
Then Axis shifts to L30.

Giant reflex save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17, Will save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

His mind shield by his rage, the giant ignore the compulsion and lifts his spiked club his over his head to crush the two armored knights only to see the weapon slip from his grasp and clatter to the ground.

Without stopping, he opens his hands, larger than horse heads and smashes the two armored knights.
The blow on the Orderknight just passes his shield and his helmet rings while the one targeting the Paladin smashes through his armors and throws Damian to the ground, bleeding to death.

slam attack on Balasiel 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23, damage 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 and Damian 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40, damage 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 , roll to confirm crit on Damian 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35 for another 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15.

Damian is down and at -9

Balasiel, it's your turn. Then I need a stabilisation check from Damian

Male HP: 39/81 5 Cavalier(Standard Bearer)/2 Knights of Order(Hell Knight)

Balasiel turns as he sees the giant drop Damian. He turns back to the giant before striking at it once more.

Both attacks easily find their mark and the giant staggers under the heavy blows. It looks like he is about to topple over on you.

Female Tiefling Rogue (Survivalist) / 7

"Get Damien out of there". Winnjett screams, shooting another bolt at the swaying creature.

1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21 CB Shot
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 CB Damage

Oh Boy, I'm gonna regret this... Falko, seeing as he's about to be next, conjures his courage and hurls himself at the giant, standing over Damian's body.

"Keep it up Thieves, he's faltering!"

The blinded Ogre, badly burnt, gather his remaining strength and tries to find the closest attacker to avenge his kin.

Perception check DC 20 to locate the closest attacker 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Having head Balasiel, he moves towards him cautiously and, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Giant, tries to mash the Knight into pulp. His blow is wide.

Winnjet bolt hits the Giant again before Falco lanches a reckless charge to try to finish it. His move bring him within reach of the giant arms.

I'm assuming that Winjett gets precision damage against the blinded creature?

Sorry, I should have announced it more precisely. Both Winnjet and Falko have already acted for round 3 (see posts above). It's now Kestrel and Axis turn.

Round 4

Kestrel yells out something in a language that sounds melodious and majestic. He dashes towards the fallen warrior's side, the ogre's inevitable attack the least of his concerns. Hekneels next to Damien, and raises his staff to the air. He chants in a voice that is not his own. "اس آدمی کو چنگا!" With that, the man's wounds begin to heal.

Celestial:

Heal this man!

Mechanics:

Move to J28. If the ogre gets an attack of opportunity on me, that's OK. Casting Cure Serious Wounds on Damien. He gets back 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (5, 1, 8) + 7 = 21 hit points.

The Ogre is still blinded, so no AoO. Damian is stabilized and back to 11 HP. It's now Axis' turn.

Male Grimspawn Conjurer (teleportation) Wizard 7

Axis speaks the incantation of a simple spell and points at the ogre with his extended hand. Four missiles of pure force launch from his fingertips, striking their target unerringly.

Axis casts magic misile against the ogre

4d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 3) + 4 = 17

4d4+4

The missiles strike the blind ogre and his heart gives out under the massive damage.

Congratulations for your first win, 2000 XP each. You're out of combat now.

Male Grimspawn Conjurer (teleportation) Wizard 7

Axis looks around and notices the two bystanders. They don't seem overly concerned. He walks to the center of the clearing between the buildings.

"I apologize for the mess. We have just arrived here and this giants attacked us. I am Axis Vannya of Greenlight. May I know your names, good sirs?"

Meanwhie Cernan flies about, checking their auras for evil and magic.

Falko is worried about such an ominous entry in The Camp. He scans the area for further signs of trouble.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

Male Pitborn Tiefling Paladin/7

Damian silently groans. "That hurt!" For a moment, a soft golden light surrounds him and some of his wounds seem to close. Lay on hands 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4) = 12

Cernan:
The black garbed silhouette does not have any magic aura and a moderate evil aura while the smith on the right has a strong evil and multiple magic auras ranging from weak to moderate.

As Axis comes to the center of the place, the tall and thin man just shugs and moves back to his house, ignoring the mage and nodding to himself.

The black hooded creature comes forwards and removes his hood, displaying the features of a young human female. "Greeting, I am Celia, servant of Nergal. If you need our services, we can be found in his temple." she adds, her arm pointing towards the grey mud brick building she has just exited.

Knowledge religion DC 25:
Nergal is an obscure evil god of death.

[dice=Perception]1d20+12

You don't see any clear and imminent danger. Some people have emerged from different building to look at the fight but now that it is finished, they are simply returning to their activities.

In a general manner, the inhabitants don't really care about your doings and to interact with them, you need to beat at least DC 15 diplomacy.

Falko bows deeply to Celia: "A pleasure! I am Falko Escheus. How long have you lived in this lively town? Did you know this... giant?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

The tiefling nods to the woman, keeping his own hood up. "Thank you, sister. Are giants common in these parts? I have traveled far and wide across the land, but never this far north."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Male Grimspawn Conjurer (teleportation) Wizard 7

Knowledge (religion) 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29

Cernan warns Axis of the evil tainting the auras of the two villagers. Axis recognizes the patron of the young human as an evil god of death. "Quite the coincidence, considering my heritage".

"You are most gracious, Mistress Celia. We will keep in mind your offer."

Diplomacy 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Winnjet, smiles disarmingly at the the hooded figure, attempting to aid any fellowship...or at least delay any hostility.

She also uses her study of behavior, to determine any motives of the present villagers through body language.

Celia smiles back:

"You mean Gurg, of course I knew him. He is... well was the leader of a group of mercenaries Ogres that settled a year ago to escort caravans through the desolation. They nearly put Clantock's out of business, these ones. I don't know what happened to them but they left the Camp a few days ago with a caravan from Bard's gate. Gurg was the only giant I've ever seen."

"As for me," and her smiles vanishes abruptly, "You'll learn quickly not to ask those questions if you want to survive here. We tend to let people do their business as long as they don't interfere with ours and not ask personal questions."

winnjet:
The villagers that you can see are mostly indifferent. they looked at the fight with curiosity. As for Celia, she is clearly impressed by you fight. The other close spectator that went back to his house was completely unplussed by your actions, just as if this fight was beneath him.

Why did Gurg stay behind? And I wonder how much Clantock would pay to have Gurg dead?"

"Do you have any idea why he attacked us? I mean, besides the fact we're a bunch of ugly tieflings!"

Falko tries to keep the mood relax.

Diplomacy (if a second roll is needed): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Female Tiefling Rogue (Survivalist) / 7

"Now that's a damn good question". Winnjet murmurs in agreement.

For easier reference, this is a map of the Camp. You are located on the main place with the hanged man. Gurg and his Ogres came from the desolation and Celia came out from the twin building to the west of the hanged man.

Map of the Camp

"No idea. When he left, he was with his eight Ogres and only him and two of them returned. Maybe he was ambushed and was furious about it. I'm glad I was not in his way, cause he looked ready to kill anyone."

Falko turns to the others: "I'm curious now... Think we could follow their tracks?"

Falko Escheus wrote:

You can try, but no one has a single rank in survival....

Ah! That's awesome! The Dandies vs the Desolation!

It's late afternoon and you're standing on the common of an encampment with three large corpses at your feet. What are you doing?

Female Tiefling Rogue (Survivalist) / 7

Winnjet after a few kicks to make sure they're dead, begins to search the bodies for any clues to what might have happened... {Or anything of value).

"So what do we do with these big humps of flesh"?

Male HP: 39/81 5 Cavalier(Standard Bearer)/2 Knights of Order(Hell Knight)

"We should bury them. I will do it myself if no one else wishes to." Balasiel says to Winnjet's question.

Falko puts his bag down and finds a soft where there is nothing fragile or spiky to sit on. He keeps his bloodied sword vertical, in front of him, and watches the blood to soak the dirt

"A town like this must have an undertaker, no? Chances are, he'll smell the business and show up soon..." Damn shame anyway. I'd like to know what took these guys.

Male Grimspawn Conjurer (teleportation) Wizard 7

"Good idea Falko. If I may Mistress Celia, is there some professional in the Camp that could handle the interment of these corpses?" Axis feels uneasy speaking of dead bodies with a death priest, but she is the only one that seems "friendly" so far "Also, does this village possess such things as an inn or a general store?"

As the mage speaks to the priest, Cernan uses his magic to see if the giants owned any magical objects.

Cernan uses detect magic

On Gurg, you find a chain shirt(large), his spiked greatclub(large), 5 javelins(large), and a sturdy looking metal flask. On the ogres, you find 2 hide armors, 2 greatclubs and 8 javelins and an amulet.

The flask and greatclub and amulet are magical. I need 3 spellcraft checks for identification.
