Axhammer saw the approaching people and smiled at them politely until he heard the reference to House Medvyed at which point the smile was genuine.

"Most assuredly Old Dead Eye is worshiped there, but that doesn't mean that none of us have had visions of civilization that could be brought home. I don't speak of deforestation, but of guards and homes in trees. Roads beneath tree canopy or through mountains and hills, where no traveler would fear of being attacked by bandits."
Axhammer spoke adamantly because this was something close to his heart and he was very ecstatic about it before he was nudged in the ribs by Alexander. Grinning he slowed down his speech and looked up at the woman who was with the halfling.

"Its been awhile since last I was at any House Medvyed gathering, still I ride in the lists under the banner, so how did you come to be with Mevyed?"

If by use you mean 'he announces your name and titles' as you did, then yes, that's fine. I personally would have gotten the OK from the rest of the legacy players to have been a member of their previous group, considering how late you responded, but that's water under the bridge at this point. (And yes, they actually had a name - The White Blade.) I will remind you that Alexander is not the second-in-command of the Defenders of the Lane; if your sub-group is 'The Roads Guardians', then that's all right. I will note that I recall nothing in your background about you being 'Leader of Clan Rocknose'. The Herald would not, however, state that you once were an adventuring companion to Aolis, nor that you used to be a member of the White Blade. Your current position is what is key here. To know the relation of any scion of a House to any other scion of that House (head or otherwise) would be a KS: Nobility roll, DC 15 if you're a member of the House, DC 20 if you're a member of any other Brevoy House, DC 25 if you're from Brevoy, DC 30 if you're a complete outsider like Axhammer is.

You seem to have misread or misinterpreted everything I have written, so I sent a PM for you,

Axhammer Rocknose entered the room, and waited to be announced he wore a finely tailored black velvet tunic, with leather breeches. It was made of some of the best materials around, and it was tailored exactly for his height, weight and body frame, all and all he looked good. Emblazoned in golden thread on his left breast was the Symbol of Abadar,while on the opposite side emblazoned in royal colors was the House Medvyed Crest. On his waist was an empty scabbard, encrusted in gemstones in a design to show his rank and his clan's symbol. On his supple black leather boots were the spurs of knighthood, shined to perfection they twinkled in the light of the torches.

With him was his favored man, well halfling Alexander Burfoot, well that was the name that he was called around here in this part of the world. Where he was from he had been called the Scything Desert Wind. He was a Quadiran Horselord after all, so it was expected for him to be nimble and graceful on and off his mount. The lad wore what would customarily be worn by the desert people of his home, only it was all in black to match is lords. Upon his right shoulder and arm were slashes of Color, denoting exceptional challenges accepted and completed, they went down from his shoulder to his elbow. There was but a single slash of color on his left arm at the shoulder, it was stitched in golden thread and from it hand a symbol of Abadar's holy warriors symbol. It showed that the only man to have best him, was his Lord Axhammer Rocknose.

Looking up at the stage Axhammer could see his armor. Dark leaves wrapped around the leather armor, pristine in their appearance with metal studs holding them into place. Beside the armor, were his secondary weapons as well. A coldiron lance stood in his rocker with a golden streamer flowing in a slight breeze that someone had artfully set up. A coldiron cestus sat in the armor where a gauntlet would have been set up. His shield, embossed into a triform was set on its rack as well. On the left was the Holy Symbol in gold on a field of black, on the right was the symbol of House Medvyed, and the bottom was embossed his own Symbol that all of his men wore. There was also set in a case a golden light crossbow, the favored weapon of his god, it had never been fired or used since he had been given it.

Alexander Burfoot saw his own weapons setting up there as well, the only difference being the coldiron morning start setting on the rack. Well that wasn't the only difference, his lance had a Blue Tassle on attached to the coldiron head, and was lacquered black so as to make it harder to see in the dark. His armor was of a darker leaf, and could easily be used for night operations, after all that was when the truly dangerous bandits and others attacked.

The Herald saw them enter, and a single trumpet rang out.
"It is my pleasure to announce a Kawaler Axhammer Rocknose, Knight of House Medvyed, Paladin in good standing of Abadar, Leader of Clan Rocknose, Adventuring Companion to the Scion of House Medvyed, Leader of The Roads Guardians, and member of [The A team, I guess?]. "

Taking stamping his staff on the ground he made to announce Alexander then, "Accompanying Kawaler Rocknose is his lieutenant , Cavalier of The Order of the Star, Protector of the Faithful of Abadar, Second in Command of the Roads Guardians, Alexander Burfoot.

I am assuming it is permissible to however use your Herald/Announcer though?

The tall [for a gnome] Paladin knelt silently before the alter of Abadar, having been praying for some time now. He realized looking at the candle marks that it was well past time that he should report back to his group. He wasn't sure of the signs he had received from Abadar but nothing screamed for him to stop, nothing screamed for him to not go through with this. In fact the lack of bad signals helped form his resolve.

Exiting his tent he looked about, he remembered the group when they had been young. So many of them had gathered to go off on a grand adventure, they had made the part of the country a bit safer with their wanderings. Dwarves, Halflings and Gnomes, that was who followed his banner, always the little people. That banner had meant so much in his early youth, now it was a symbol you see. A symbol of that things could change, people would change.

Axhammer's knees creaked from being prostrated before his god for so long, but the aches of his body meant little to the Lord of Civilization. He disliked the cold you see, as he had several wounds that hurt when the weather changed, or when the cold was allowed to sink into his flesh. His left shoulder hurt where he had been hit with a crossbow bolt many years ago, knees used roughly and often carrying heavy burdens. Above his right hip was where a lance had pierced him as well, that ached with the cold, he had fought and won against bandits for so long that he needed a change. Not to say that his adventuring days were behind him, far from it, he looked forward to the next 50 years fighting as well, however the idea of bringing Civilization to the barbarians was too appealing to miss.

Looking about he nodded to some of the men that followed him, they were all busy getting ready for the days ahead, calling over a page he gave instructions for his expensive clothes to be cleaned, and hug up prepared for him, his rings and other jewelry shined. The tall [for a gnome] would polish his expensive holy symbol himself. He would have to sort out his Cavalier boots as well, those spurs took ages to shine, and there was no use not wearing them as he was a Kawaler.

The ball would not be fun though, there were bound to be very few being of his size, and though he was rather attractive for his race, he highly doubted he would be asked to dance, which was fine in his eyes. Afterall, why would he want to dance with someone so much taller than him.

Is it my internet service or is the Paizo site crashing/down every few minuets?

Honor for Sir Rocknose: 27 - 1d6 + 1d10 ⇒ 27 - (1) + (7) = 33
Honor for Alexander: 22 - 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ 22 - (5) + (4) = 21

So Sir Rocknose needs to have 23/5=4 Followers created at this point, or do I round up to 5?

I have 3 already done from the last campaign, so I will be getting their Alias done up for you, and come up with [up to] 2 other just for Rocknose

Alexander is 5th level without leadership, HOWEVER you pointed out that we can have to 2 [1st level??] followers

All followers must use the NPC template correct?

Recruitment was up for a whole month, MoF!! :P But if you want to be on the 'fill-in' list, read through this thread, including the various character analyses, and put something together. In order for it to make it onto the 'fill-in' list, it has to be as complete as any character who got in. Technically, this goes for anyone ELSE who was trying to apply and didn't make it; being on the 'fill-in' list is still a possibility. (That goes especially for Emma Holt, Death's Adorable Apprentice ...)

Axhammer is, of course, a special case. Grogimus, while this is derived from Corsario's Kingmaker campaign, it isn't exactly the same; please, please read the initial post of this thread as well as any posts by me on at least the first three pages; critical information. Considering the events of that campaign, of especial importance is the second and third paragraphs of the proclamation - the last sentence of the 'About the Campaign' spoiler is specifically directed at you for a reason. I'll get you worked in as soon as the adjustments to your characters are made.

As a note, The GM, Corsario hasn't given me any kind of breaks here, all of my ideas might fail, they might not, however they are my ideas while all of you are busy doing your own thing.

He hasn't done anything other than listen/read my ideas and pretty much said "Try it see if it works" to paraphase him. He isn't forcing yall to accept Alexander or Axhammer, or any of the others. Thats all on the group.I am merely working behind the scenes which is why I am not posting as None of you are scrying or doing anything towards alexander or axhammer.

Maybe since none of the characters wanted him around in the first place , I have been working behind your backs through diviniation, and other means to scout and work something out so that when you started fleeing the city you wouldn't be screwed over, and that I could keep working behind the scenes until such time as Axhammer could reveal that he and Alexander were the ones behind it all along, BUUUUUT you don't seem to want to play along. At all, with anything any of my characters have to say or do, ever. I do mean EVER, Mr. Gold-Wyrms-Are-LG-But-I-Am-Not.

3. Why would we speak to you? As we last said, your last interaction was "leave me alone" - a rather rude one considering our cohorts (or at least MY cohort) would have like to speak to you about what happened, since you were realistically the best witness. Why would we speak to you, when you made it clear, in character, you don't want to talk? Unless you have access to information we don't, this is looking like some pretty high level metagaming.

Once you get past 8 miles I can't help you, but with as many things as I have done, you should be able to escape safely.
So you would have to follow the trail to the Meeting sight, once there, you would speak with Alexander, then make your decision so roughly about an hour hustling.

There is currently someone creating false tracks with magic in 5 different directions, at the end of each day we can repeat this process, however you would have to allow this to happen otherwise I can't help you out......well I can but I would have to get sneaky with my help

Realisticly, not a problem at all,
Also realisticly if you can make it to where my group is, there is already plans set in motion to confuse and mislead those following you. But you would have to get 8 miles outside of the city.

Actually, you forgot one simple thing.

Is there a caster in town of aroudn 15 or higher, if so then you could buy from them a Scroll of Gate? [Might need to be higher than 15]
If that isn't the Case you could however Carry a door frame with you and have that be the entrance to an Extra Deminsional space such as you said a Pocket Deminsion, you will need a sizable amount of money to get that off the ground though and that might not be within the grounds of the wealth we can get on hand.

There is the possiblity of messaging/sending/other communication with the Hellknights, last count had them close to 1k troops at the Citadel and some other number outside of it. If you could promise ground work and another Citadel that would most likely be enough to get them to fight.

You spoke of three card monte, heres an idea to toss around. The Church of Abadar has the only banking system in game that I know of thats called out on it. You could in theory place all the treasury with them, then withdraw what you need form other temples from around the area, after you make your escape.

Axhammer has 20+ Level 1 followers, 3 level 2 followers, 1 level 3 follower and his 5th level Cohort. Using them as a suprise for any force would be the most effective way of doing it. Ghost Sound +Images could make the force look much bigger than it actually is, and there is the other problem that any attacking force would have to think about. "Do I really want to attack Hellknights?" They are not known for forgiveness when you murder their priests/paladins.

You can't outrun them, you have to out think them, or find a way to summon a larger force that willing to throw down at the drop of a hat.

Axhammer looks to Selina, "Child, I still have hope that none of my friends that have been freinds for years aren't dead. But I must bury it, hide it deep inside, I couldn't stand to get my hopes high then have them dashed to pieces. We will have to move soon, Aolis, Daggit, Trewart, Myself; I never expected to be the Last One, but its happened at least for now. Dawn will come soon, perhaps my Message or Sending will get through to who needs it, perhaps not. Either way, you will always have a home with me and mine, same goes for any of the others. My Son, he rides around on that giant bear, and is ordering the camp, asking politely about the others who came with. You and the others are in charge now, least till my freinds come back, as such its time I guess to take you as a confidant. Daggit was my Priest, you are too young to shoulder that burden yet, however it would please me greatly if you would take his seat at the council I will be holding soon.

5 minutes after the others leave, half a dozen riders from Restov arrive at the crater.
"Lord Rocknose! What happened here? Did King Rupert survived? Why the others leave?"
3 of them go towards the camps, with the other 3 remaining with you.

"The others leave me in peace so that I may mourn the dead, from here I will be going forth to destroy the Chaos godling, or whatever that is in the Lost Lands.

Pointing towards Filli, and Killi, he barked out an order in dwarven sending them to the queen to ask for a private audeance before he leaves for the lost lands to seek revenge.

"Will you not help my men bury the dead? Or whatever is left of our comrads, the king and those in the tent were killed."

Insulting the paladin repeated does that, makes one defensive, and closes the mind to those that could have been allies if but an open hand had been offered.

With the queen gone Axhammer shrugs and shouts his commands, the horses are used to draw trees that are felled close to the pit. A large boulder is also drawn close which will have the names of all of the Lawful people killed in the attack as well as his companions. These names are written in Gnome, Halfling, Elven, Dwarven, and Common.

Funeral songs and dirges go up into the air, as the crater is filled with earth, trees, and rubble.
Not a single Hellknight will answer any questions, if pressed they merely point to Axhammer and Alexander.

"Let her leave, its her right to side with Chaos, as is ours to Purge the Chaotic thing that destroyed our comrades. Until dawn we will work, haul, and cleanse this area of Chaos. Mourn now while you have a chance, when the sun rises, we will begin the hunt for whatever killed them.

Anyone coming up to him will see that the Rune for Vengeance has been drawn in blood on the front of his armor, with the names of his comrades written below that.

The King being with them, when that, creature appeared. But for now I insist that you come back to the Righteous Wanderers Camp. Any of the others who wish to find out what happened to thier leaders are more than welcomed to show up. Simple rules of ettique apply when entering the camp, announce yourself, and allow the guard captain to detect your alignment and origion, it wouldn't do to allow any chaotic or evil outsiders into our camp."

The older gnome looked around, his son having taken up defensive position he looks straight in the eyes of the new Queen, "Forgive my sons rudeness, but it seems he has choosen this moment to champion you, your cause and your country. Time to see to the others though."[B] Looking around he spotted Aolis, Daggit, and Treants groups of soldiers, and motioned all of thier Second-In-Commands over. [b]"Alright lads, lasses, looks like a tough situation has been handed to us, but I have always strove to get all of us out alive, and whole. He spoke to everyone, but he made sure that he was seen speaking, and his lips could be seen by Selina the Rose. Any question would be answered, and if need be diplo checks made to show his sincerity. Since hes not lieing just attempting to take control of the situation as best he could i am not sure if a diplo check is needed.

Since everyone is missing, its time for us to put asside our differences, and protect his heir. The Gods gave me a feeling that something Chaotic, and Evil did this, from far away. Looking at the Banner of the Younglings, the High Banner of the Godclaw, and his sons personal banner he looked at his own and sighed. This had turned into something ,and he wasn't sure what it was. Kneeling down on the ground he took off his helm, and stabbed his sword into the ground and prayed even while his adopted son spoke to him. In other times and places he would have cuffed the boy as being out of line and not showing the proper respect for a man praying. But now wasn't one of those times, everything had gone sideways quick,fast, and in a hurry.

A warhorn blows now, one clear blast. [DC= +1 per mile] Axhammer Rocknose began kicking his mount with spurs he begins the fast paced run towards the Pavilion, a beast has exited the tent, and Axhammer was worried for the two mages and priest inside. His Hellknights would have heard his horn and now he began the run towards the pavilion.

He literally just spoke of having Axhammer murdered, you can be as snide and hateful as you want Wyrm, rude as well. But that doesn't stop the fact that the way you wrote that came off to me as a threat, you chose the words in such a way that it appears as if Coalhouse is making a very open suggestion on what is going to happen.

Axhammer is ready to be attacked, and is thus not flatfooted.
Hes also got a hand on his Gilded Warhorn.

The voice conveying all of the information is calm, quite, and yet filled with hope that this can be turned around. However he is ready to die standing there under the white flag if it means destroying Chaos, and Evil.

Diplomacy to get across the message that this is evil, and unlawful to the Paladins and the King: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 41

He didn't leave, he just moved out of ear shot as to be respectful.

Arriving fully geared for wear, Axhammer doesn't even deem to dismount before Noble, as he was still no king, and most likely never would be, since it took more than just some popinjay saying he was king to make it true. The only Reason, that he could figure that the man before them might be king is that those around him were powerful enough to prop up the decrepit throne. That was however strange as the man hadn't even set down on the throne but never the less it was a castle built on sand with no firm foundation.

Axhammer tosses the invitation down at the ground at the would be kings feet and moves out of ear shot. Saying without using words, I was invited here at your request and you deem to insult me for showing up?

"You are right we ask a lot from you. But in this time and place we cannot venture into our new Kingdom with nobles, that no matter how good reputation they have, we have not meet in person without an oath of fealty, and maybe more. We are not just placing our resources and sovereignty into this nobles, but we are placing the safety of our daughter in their hands. So, if you feel unable to do the oath, we thank you for your honesty, and we free you from taking it, wishing you well. And if you want to help us in our new kingdom, we would thank you for it, but you will understand it won't be in the same level of the sworn nobles."

"If you want my oath, you will have to tell me three things. One for how long do you plan on this oath lasting? Secondly if my Gods call for me to be elsewhere, will you deign me the right to go where they will me? Lastly when you said to swear to your house and line, that was worded as if it would be eternally, surely you did not mean for it to sound that way?
