Arjunta takes out his coil of rope, grappling hook, hammer and pitons, before stashing the rest of his pack with the party.

"So, who's going up and who's on belay?"

Yeah, with the saves properly figured, cold weather gear, and the survival skill bonus, that's plenty to remain undamaged.

Apparently I have base saves of +0/+0/+0 as a 1st lvl fighter. <headdesk> All those saves should be 2 higher than noted, and with +5 survival, cold weather outfit, and staying still, Arjunta should be (4+5+4) for a total of +13 vs cold environment...

Arjunta takes the remaining cold-weather outfit, if possible.

"It is extremely cold here. I should have been more prepared for our journey."

"Aye, same watches seems good. This time, try to wake up when we're attacked by a freakish cat monster in the night, will you?"

"Good job, Zoltan. You wrestled a cat to death!"

Clapping his fellow warrior on the back, Arjunta offers high praise indeed.

Arjunta readies his bec de corbin against the charging cat.

"Come here and face me, you dumb cat!"

"I do not care which watch I take. I will only need help to don my armor, so a second person would be especially helpful. Unless the off going person would stay a few moments to assist me."

Arjunta stows all his gear and makes sure everything is tied down securely before grabbing Zoltan's rope and stumbling across.

"There you go, Gladiator! That's the spirit!"

Arjunta scans the riverbank and treeline closely, looking for movement or any hostile action. Drawing a javelin, he loosely holds both the ranged weapon and polearm, ready to attack in either fashion.

"This seems like a natural ambush point. The smell of blood and death proves it to me. Be on your guard, everyone."

Arjunta shifts his grip on his polearm, looking around the small clearing and river crossing.

"So, Zoltan. You first or me first?"

"Perhaps this cat will attack us, and I will spit it upon my blade. Then, Zoltan will have a friend to hug and squeeze." Arjunta chuckles at the thought of a cat able to threaten such large creatures...oblivious to things like lions, tigers, and such.

"Half-human, half-horse creatures. Very interesting."

Arjunta unshoulders his sacks of food, holding onto his polearm loosely but making no threatening actions.

Arjunta buys two weeks of travel rations, a small cask of whiskey (5 gallons), and a couple of extra tankards.

PS, did we get any GP from the last mission? I don't recall what we were offered, and Arjunta is not the 'day job' type.

Grabbing his polearm and coiling the rope used to dangle Zoltan down the well, Arjunta takes up his customary position in the group.

"Hmm. That was an odd feeling. Let's not jump down there, eh, Zoltan?"

Arjunta sets his weapon aside, doffs his pack, and sets himself in a practiced brace-descent posture to aid the gladiator down.

"So is that the paper we were sent to gather? That seems awful convenient, to me."
