FW, apologies but I don't quite understand that. How did they put the Dwarf in the chains? They couldn't have made them around his wrists, right? So wouldn't there have had to have been manacles or something that at least once opened so that they could put his wrists in them? Or perhaps I'm just not picturing it properly?

Ragnar Stolen-Voice wrote: Plan- 1. Leave in the morning to get the cavemead. 2. Just before nightfall, when we're a few miles away, Ari and another stealthy character heads out into Stuvoy and springs the dwarf. 3. They bring the dwarf to our campsite and we return him to his people while getting the cavemead to bring back. How is that? Sorry, was stuck in the jungle for a few days. On top of that, i have to make a habit of checking the OOC's more often. This plan works for me, and Anya will be agreeable to distracting the guard once someone explains that part of the plan to her (after waking her up ; )
Female Human Barbarian/2
Frustrated with and having little interested in all the talk of politics, Anya grumbles "Wake me when we know what we are doing....or when something needs to be killed." and then proceeds to head to her bunk and lie down. Within seconds the warrior woman, trained to get what sleep she can wherever and whenever she can, is issuing loud snoring sounds.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Feeling rebuffed by Breda, Anya shrugs her shoulders and heads back to the longhouse. Arriving in time to hear her sisters words, she nods her head in agreement only adding "They were heading away from the village, but whether they were a scouting party or a war party I cannot say. I can say for sure though that they were well equiped for battle."
Female Human Barbarian/2
Anya simply nods her head at the young Lord, signifying that she is satisfied with that arrangement, for now. She pat's the mare's flank affectionately and with a rather stern look at the young man says "Take good care of her." Without waiting for a reply she then turns and indulges in the festivities. At some point, feeling a strange feeling, which she eventually realizes is guilt, she heads over towards Breda. She brings over a flagon, passes it the woman and, clapping her over the shoulders, hoists her mug and says "For your father. He died bravely, as a warrior should, and surely now he is drinking and whoring and telling tall tales in the halls of Valhala."
Female Human Barbarian/2
Welcome Stardust : ) Anya can't help but smile slightly at the young lord enthusiasim, as well as his slip of the tongue. However Anya is a simple woman, of simple needs and wants and greed has never been one of her failings. So her answer to the Lordling is a simple one "I am a Warrior, and warriors need little except weapons, or perhaps armor. If you have one of either you feel to be of equal value to the mare I shall be content with that. PS, yes, good point FW! ; )

lol no worries! I know what those kind of sessions are like! ; )
and thanks for the info on the Shire Horses. They sound very cool and yes, I've seen them in that flick. As much as I like them though I don't really see Anya as a mounted warrior. I also don't see her Giving the horse away so...: D Anya nods her head to Helga's suggestion, trusting her sister to use the right words to explain things. As Anya enters the longhouse, she leads the huge horse right in behind her. Ignoring the comments and squawks from any who are bothered by this she walks right up to the young lord. Without preamble she says "Lord Mercik. On my last day of the hunt the fates bestowed upon me the chance to catch this mighty mare. It took some work to bring her in line but should be trainable now. I prefer my own two feet to get about though so, as this great steed is obviously fit for none less than a Lord, I propose a trade. That is if you have something of equal value you'd care to trade me for her." as she affectionately pats the mare's flanks and gives her version of a friendly grin.

Spoiler:
I asked about the Prisoner only because you mentioned in her bit that she wasn't sure what she was seeing because she had never met a Dverge before. But she has. So, I'm a little bit confused. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding something? Helga
Spoiler: "Well, because I believe I saw a heavily armed party of them, close to the village. They were heading away from the village, it seemed. But what were they doing here in the first place?"

Helga Evadottir Alfchild wrote: "Hey sister, you were gone a while, how went your last hunt?" Helga is in good spirits. If it's ok with you FW I'm making both Anya's events to have happened the same day. Anya walks back into town leading a beautiful mare. The animal is obviously still wild yet it seems to have been tamed by the big woman. As she heads to her sister Helga notices Anya's expression to be a thoughtful one. In answer to the question the babrbarian pulls her sister to the side and says quietly "Tell me more about the dverge..." FW
Spoiler: 1-Before I decide, can you tell me more about Shire Horses? 2-Didn't Anya meet the Dwarf prisoner? And what became of him anyway??
Female Human Barbarian/2
Anya will most defintely be on the hunting side of things. Most of the other tasks shewould fee to be beneath one of her talents. PS i don't have as regular comuter access at the moment as I normally do. I'm not going anywhere, but if I happen to have not posted to for than a day or two and it's holding up the game, please feel free to DMPC Anya as you see fit FW
Female Human Barbarian/2
"Damn Gods and their Damn mysterious ways..." the barbarian grumbles as she makes her way to her feet. Strangely enough though, for her anyway, the warrior woman does not actually seem to be truly angry, for any observing her can see her looking at her two new tattoos with curiosity and interest. Moving to the Cleric she asks him bluntly "You, priest, what in the hells did your God give us these for? Do they have some purpose or are they just to make us look pretty?" I agree would be good to keep another arcane caster in the party but otherwise I have no preference one way or the other

Reflex:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Weakened from battle and freezing cold water Anya's reflexes are not as they normally are and she crashes like an oak to the floor after being sizzled by the lightning. Fort to stabalizw:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Yet to tenacity to cling to life is as strong as ever...

Seeing her sister's pain Anya snatches the harp off the alter and shoves it back in her arms "What would the Stormlord want with a Harp you silly girl?" she says roughly. "Obviously a fine Weapon would be of greater value" and with no further ceremony she places her masterwork longspear on the altar instead. Only those who look closely will notice the very small smile she has on her face as she watches her sister cradle her precious harp again.
Female Human Barbarian/2
What? No love?? I know Anya would be crushed about that but I'll stay strong for her. Glad at least someone enjoys her as well though...wasn't sure ; ) Not hesitating for a moment, Anya dives in and moves to help her one-time lover with the struggling woman. Please make whatever rolls are necessary FW
Female Human Barbarian/2
Anya starts to smile as the youth, barely reaching her chest height, tries to intimidate her. She is stopped from laughing right in his face though as Helga steps between them. Her face clearly displaying her annoyance she puts her hand on his sisters shoulder in preparation to move her aside and opens her mouth to say something no doubt somewhat less than diplomatic when the screams of the sorceress interrupt her. Looking to her sister in even deeper annoyance at the call for rescue the big, gore spattered woman swears under her breath, then throws down the axe at Merick's feet saying "Here. I believe this is yours. Next time you need help you can use it yourself." and then begins running as fast as she can for the water. Double move, 80', running (so 320'?) And boy, don't ya just gotta love her? ; )
Female Human Barbarian/2
Not used seeing or dealing with this type of emotion, and never having known any emotional connection to her own father, Anya slowly moves over near Breda, stands uncomfortably for a while, then, not knowing what else to say, rumbles "He died well." Then, knowing she's done all she can and confident the others can handle the ship, she turns and with a defient stare, both hands placed around the handle of her ground battleaxe, and waits for the arrival of the Lord of Stuvoy and his retainers.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Her rage dropping along with Drago's lifeless corpse, Anya leans on her battle axe to stop from falling to the ground. Catching her breath she pants out "Quick, someone see to Ragnar!" While she looks on at Drago's ravaged corpse with a combination of fury, pity and sadness.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Staggering under the blow; Anya nevertheless remains standing. Diving and rolling to get behind the giant to flank it with Ragnar she again swings her battle axe into it's uncaring flesh.
If an acro is needed go ahead and roll it FW
Female Human Barbarian/2
Raing with a combination of fury and horror for what the captain she had respected has become, knowing he would never wish his body used in such a ungodly manner, and bolstered by her sister's song, the Barbarian has no hesitation as she rushes in to attack the reanimated creature before her.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Finally in sight of the undead former captain, Anya one again roars his name, rising into her battle fury for the second time that day. Never ceasing to move, holding her battleaxe in her off hand she reaches over her shoulder to grab a javilin and launches it at Drago.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Shaking her limbs to help get the blood flowing in them again, Anya keeps moving as she runs as fast as she can towards the sound of the fighting
Can she get close enough to attack this round? And was she able to swim with the battleaxe strapped to her back, or no?
Female Human Barbarian/2
"What in Hela's Hells!" Exclaims the babarian in confusion and fury as she witness' the horror on the beach. Yet depite her surprise and natural revulsion to the abberation of undead the warrior does not hesitate as she secures her weapons to her and dives into the fridgid waters. Once in she does her best to ignore the cold and swims with all she can
If she can't swim with the battleaxe strapped to her she'll instead toss it into the same boat that holds her longspear
Female Human Barbarian/2
As the healing energy washes over her Anya turns a grateful smile on her sister.
Anya is now at 18hp I believe. Oh, and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & an early Happy New Years everyone! : )
Female Human Barbarian/2
Hearing her sister Anya suddenly remembers the strange feeling she had regarding the people om the beach.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Squaring her feet to support herself on her shaky legs, Anya grits her teeth in fury and again tries to hue the plant down.
Female Human Barbarian/2
Thanks FW, that info does help. But all in all, I've gotta play Anya like...Anya ;) I'm assuming that since i already rolled I don't get to roll again, yes? Shocked, embarrased and enraged as never before to be caught and currently at the losing end of a battle with a plant Anya, aided by her sister's magic, struggles with all her strength and fury to be free
Breaking free of the grasp, if just barely, the furious Barbarian ignores her grevious wounds and standing by force of will alone, the warrior focuses her rage through the blade of her greataxe that she swings two-handed at her foe:
1d12 + 6 ? (4) + 6 = 10
Female Human Barbarian/2
Ooops, looking at the original post, Anya does indeed have a greataxe, not a battleaxe. My bad. For her turn... Spoiler: FW I just realized that the Rage Power I had chosen for Anya is not available to her until she reaches 4th level, so I chose another. -Quick Reflexes (Ex): While raging, the barbarian can make one additional attack of opportunity per round. Also realized I was still missing a Trait after all this time so chose Survivor If these changes work for you great, if not just lemme know and I'll do something different. Cool?
Female Human Barbarian/2
Hmmm, if Anya was already standing on a vine then she wouldn't have needed to move anywhere to attack, as I said, I couldn't see a map at the time I posted her action. The way it was played out kinda seems like a waste of a good roll. But anyway, it's done so let's just roll with it, perhasa it makes for a more cinematic battle anyway
Female Human Barbarian/2
for some reason I still don't see a map, it may have gone to a junk mail but it's a bit of hassle to check that from my bbery. I'll check first chance I get to a computer but for now anyway please feel free to place Anya wherever makes it easiest for you FW Depite her doubt as to the dangwerousness of this enemy, the skilled warrior woman still knows a threat when she sees one. As she charges forward she allows her angers and frustrations odf the past days to fuel her fury and hacks into the plant creature with the battleaxe

Ari Thornsson wrote: Ari, hearing Anya making her way through the party, looks back at her, shrugs his shoulders and whispers,"What?" "I don't know" she replies, looking somewhat annoyed and disturbed and feeling like she may have missed something important "It may be nothing, but the way they're all watching it almost seems like we are here for their entertainment or something. And I am no one's jesting fool!"Scowling at these last words Anya tightens her grip on the axe and looks for something she can use it on
Female Human Barbarian/2
lol, well while I'd love to take full credit for my 'amazing personal perception skills', truth is the comment was in large part to make up for my late posting. Curiosity begs the next question though, when was the first time this happened? If you can answer without giving too much away of course :) Anya's Perception check:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 After all that set-up, that just doesn't seem right...
Female Human Barbarian/2
Initiative:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Distracted for a moment by the throng on the opposite side of the harbour, still wondering why everyone seems so excited about a damn plant, Anya misses being able to enter first into the shrine and grunts her displeasure at herself. Moving quickly though she catches up to be either directly beside or behind Ragnar, her axe at the ready, out of long habit more than any thought of real need. Hey FW, what email of mine did you send the map to? If you didn't have an address for me, you can use the email I put in the OOC just now. Thanks.
Female Human Barbarian/2
"Of course" Anya says, as with genuine affection she claps the big man on the shoukder "another strong arm is always welcome. To be honest I don't know how much we'll need it against some silly plant, but come, come."
Female Human Barbarian/2
Anay merely nods her head at the other's 'war' plans, after all, how difficult could it possibly be to kill a plant. She even had the thought of simply volunteering to do the job herself but the others seemed, understandably, excited at the chance for some action, however slim or pitiful it might be. Plus also perhaps some small voice of caution warns the fearless barbarian lass that her sister would not likely be so concerned for naught.
Female Human Barbarian/2
"Drago" Anya says without preamble. "Those bastards left him to rot..." She continues, relating the story as heard from Sawrik
"Anyway" the large woman says, blowing the air out of her cheeks, "I'm sure the priest" refering to Kurn and nodding her head in his direction if he's there "can accord Drago proper burial rights. But so what did you get up to so early this morn sister?"
Female Human Barbarian/2
Anya spits to the ground after the man turns to leave and, not caring if he hears her or not grumbles "I knew that one was not to be trusted! And if he does not watch his words he'll find himself stuck on the end of my spear" Giving him no more thought for the moment she carries Drago with her two shipmates. As they near the quay she calls out loudly "Helga! Where are you? I can hardly see a thing in this blasted fog!"
Female Human Barbarian/2
Anya scowls at the bard saying "So I see your notion of aid seems to only go in one direction. I'll remember that should it be your body that needs disposal" Turning to the druid she says "Here, help me" As she looks for a tarp or cloth something to cover and carry the body with. Once something is found or put together with Stefnir's help she'll carry the body back to the others or the lodge if she can't find them. If for whatever reason Stefinr chooses not to help, she'll simply do it on her own.
