Annea wracks her brain regarding the nature of the disease and the virulence of its symptoms in what hopefully will not be fruitless effort to aid Laurel in her treatment of townsfolk. Taking a moment to confer with Cithana, Annea asks if it would be wise for both of them to consult their respective divinities regarding the best course of action and treatment of this disease.* Although Annea doesn't have Augury memorized, it is a spell (2nd level) that is on her spell list and contained within Tyndyn's repository of arcane lore. Unless a scroll or similar option is available, Annea will take the necessary steps to exchange Augury (x2) for two of her other prepared spells (2nd level). Annea will invite Meredith and Denair, then head off into the woods (with them or alone) to commune with Nature and the Goddess, as well as conducting simple offerings and sacrifices to the gods and spirits of nature (Perform Ritual). Addressing Laurel and Cirthana directly, "My knowledge of diseases and medicine crosses both the naturalistic and magical realms and I am sorry to report that even magic, at least at my level of arcane skills, will not be able to cure this affliction. It would take a practitioner much greater than myself to have any chance of curing this disease by magical means." A few minutes later, "Laurel, can I trouble you for an elixir or tonic that will help stave off the effects of the disease? It might be prudent to prepare an ample supply in anticipation of what might be an outbreak among the human population. I am sure Frankie and the rest of my group would be interested as well." Bowing before both, "I firmly believe it will take your combined abilities... both from nature and the gods to heal this plague. As Serge attempts to point out some of the oddities to Frankie, Annea is unable to contain herself, "Unique and cool? Really? Who would do such a thing? Returning to the common tongue, "I understand if the people suffer and show very little for their labor... but isn't that more of an issue of the oppression enacted by the Consortium, rather than the creatures of the woods? And, as far as there being 'always more forest to log' only the small minded think such things are true." Focusing her attention to the gnome and meeting his gaze, "I can see you are sympathetic to both the people of this town and the creatures of the forest. Who's responsible for the trouble here?
