Angeus nods then looks about, trying to remember all of the regalia that was present when she had been there last...is there anything missing?
You won't be fleet building for quite a bit, but that's not meant to dissuade you from keeping and sailing the Cutthroat. It'll just need some more coordination on your part. You don't even need to sail her right now....
Angues follow the others in after taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. She approaches the blood, crouching down and looking from the floor upto the pulpit, "Messy..." she comments, before moving down the pew and going around and up to the pulpit to look at the scene there...
Angeus lifts her face to the bright sun, sighing "Not quite as hot as home...but it will do! " she says brightly. "Here let's go this way....it's faster." she says, leading the other two onto a broad boulevard. She looks sideways at Lizette, "What are you looking around at?"
Angeus dodges a heavily laden wagon, then answers Lizette's question, "Me? No, I'm from Dohrinthas. My Pa thought he'd ship me here to gain some culture. Been here two years.... I think! " she says, as her brow furrows as she tries to figure out just how long she's been in Ptolus. Then she shrugs, smiles and asks, "What of you two...Ptolus born and bred?"
Angeus nods at Maicoh's question, her face screwing up at the obviously unpleasant memory, "Yeah, I know the way...." she says , for her a little morosely. Then she perks up and almost shouts, "Let's go!" Buoyed by the knowledge of a 1000gp chit under her tunic, Angeus quickly puts aside the negative thoughts that St. Thessina has brought up, and strides quickly out into the buys Ptolus street...

By the quotes, can I assume she had to undergo a sham 'conversion' when she came to attend Muskellins Acadamcy for Girls ? 'Cause , this from her personality still applies : She fully embraces the tenets of the worshiop of the Dohrinthian God Lurg, God of Luck and Fortune!! :)
Angeus nods, then wonders aloud, "Hmmm, sounds vaguely familiar...."
"Yes...one more question.." Angeus says dramatically, holding up one long index finger, "Which church , my good man!"

Angeus puffs herself up in mock importance, then subsides, smiling at Lizette, "Not a boss...well, not yet! We're all in this together! " she states emphatically. But she ponders Lizette's question, looking to the Constable, "Where was the body found...is it still there? And to Lizette's other question, where did the priest ply his trade? And what was his name?! " she asked, ticking off the question on the fingers of one hand.

Angeus takes the chit and tucks into a safe place under her tunic, saying to Lizette, "You take that chit to the bank and they'll let you take that amount of gold! Very civilized!" At the word of a new mystery, Angeus claps her hands together, "500 gold! Done! Come friends, let's go do the Watch's job once again!" she says, winking at the Constable, letting him in on the joke.
Angeus takes up the reward and smiles, tipping her head to the accountant, "Thank you , good sir! Let us know if the Watch has need of my....er...our, services!" As she steps aside to allow her fellows a chance to take their rewards, Angeus couldn't help but think of what she might buy; a new sword, fancy new leathers...something magical perhaps!
From where she'd been leaning against the wall, alternating between examining her nails and staring daggers at the watchman, Angeus had listened to Lizette and Maicoh's discussion with little interest; they'd got their confession...now only the matter of their fee! When the accountant arrived and made his announcement, she clapped her hands together and exclaimed, "Wonderful! Just wonderful! " and steps up to receive her reward.
Angeus looks at the watchman, confused, "Why would that matter? Does not everyone get a fair trial? "
Angeus, holding the cook up on one side, , "This one's confessed to the murder of Lord Renn Sadar, duly witnessed by all of us Writ-ed investigators! " she declares importantly.
"Uncle....Uncles can be notoriously protective of their nieces..." Angeus observes. "Do you think your Uncle may have put this Cook up to this? Maybe by magical means? I mean , is Dakath capable of such a thing?"
Angeus looks at Lady Peliope, "Really....the cook? " she says, then shrugs and help the others search the 'cook' and bind his arms and legs. The she looks at Lady Peliope, "Who exactly did you think would be the murderer?"
"Ha! Angeus exclaims, her smile wide at their success. She turns to Lady Peliope, "So, who is this? " she asks, motioning to the unconscious assassin.
Angeus dances around the others ganging up on the killer elf, then lays in on him with the flat of her blade!
Glad for some action, Angeus' scimitar is in her hand as she dances forward...
Angeus watches the man carefully, trying to determine if he's lying...
"Lead on..." Angeus says with a sweep of her hand.
Speaking up finally, "You wouldn't happen to have any injured staff do you? Or anyone that's absent today?""Probably, why would you ask?" she asks. Angeus coughs loudly to get the half-elf's attention, then points at the bloody trail that led them there, "We followed that trail from the scene of the crime...Stands to reason , the one the shed that blood would be someone we'd want to talk to."
Angeus steps aside and points to the floor where the blood trail ended, "Here we have the trail of blood that we followed here from the scene of the crime! Right now, everyone on this estate is under suspicion of the murder of Lord Sadar! Including you, Miss Peliope!" she says dramatically, quite enjoying herself.
Angeus cocks her head at Peliope and smile, "Sounds like fun. Now then, any of your family or friends here unhappy with your 'romance' with Lord Sadar? Unhappy enough to kill him, I mean?"
Angeus had bit her lip, sure that whatever Lizette was up to would be a bunch of fun....but storming into a nobles estate with a writ and acting all official...funner! As the enter, she tries to keep track of the trail of blood...see where it leads to.
--- Later --- "Oh , he's dead!" Angeus exclaimed, then frowned at the half-elf, "That could be interpreted as meaning you've tried to kill him before...."
Angeus ambles up to the group, her face alight with interest, "What's this, a tracking party?!! Excellent, I couldn't tell once cobble from another earlier. " She then shares what extra she learned, "Seems the dalliance bewteen the dead wizard and his mistress was purely physical...they argued about everything! "
Angeus frowns , puzzled, "So your Master and the elves argued....or your Master and his mistress argued? "
Angeus cocks her head, "Hmmm, what would they have argued about lately? "
Angeus continues her questioning of the Valet, "So, this Peliope...she an elf, then? Any of her brothers, father, boyfriend the jealous type? Do you think the Widow had it in her to kill her husband, or hire someone to do so?"
Angeus rolls her eyes on the inside at Hroethgar's heavy handidness, but decided to follow suit when the Valet immediately gives up a name, "Good, now where do we find Ms Erthuo." she asks sweetly, but her stance and face not so sweet.
Angeus looks at the widow with concern, "Only if you feel up to it, Lady."
Angues places a hand gently on the widow's shoulder, "Thank you , Dear. Where would Mr Valorum's quarters be?"
Angeus stares daggers at Hroethgar, soothing the grieving widow, "There , there, ignore the mean minotaur" She thinks for a moment, the asks, "Would the servants know who she was....I'm sure your husband's immediate help would have known..."
Angeus shakes her head in sympathy for the woman, "This new girl...do you know who she is. Perhaps, she had a husband as well..." she asks, the implications clear.
For a moment, Angeus rushes ahead , "What were you doing in the servant's quarters?" then the woman's second statement sunk in, "Oh...um...of course you loved him....but you were in the servant's quarters...why, exactly? Here, you can whisper it to me..."
Angeus scowls at Hroethgar's rough manner, striding to the weeping woman, clasping her hands, "Ignore him, my Lady! Please, we seek the culprit of this heinous crime, all that you can tell us, please....the brooch, is it yours?"
Angeus kicks a rock from the cobbles, frustrated that the footprints didn't yield anything. She stalks back and enters in time to hear Hroethgar as his question of the main, standing at his shoulder, arms crossed, waiting for the answer...
"Footprints?!?!?" Angeus exclaims excitedly, "We must follow them!" She rushes out into the courtyard, head down and follows the footprints...
Angeus was half-way to the door, intent on finding these Vai assassins and asking them some pointed questions, when Hroethgar's observation penetrates her intent. Skidding to a halt, she screws up her face, "Huh, hadn't thought of that..." she says absent-mindedly as she hands the card to Lizette.
Yeah, it doesn't always show my most recent post as well, makes me think it didn't go through, but when I refresh there it is! buggy, buggy!
Angeus looks down at the body...."Well, I am pretty sure those," pointing at the wounds with a card she'd found between two fingers, "were made with a dagger." She then gets to thinking, tapping the card against her chin, then her eyes widen and she presents the card to the others, "Look what I found...a Vai calling card. I think they might be the culprit!"
Angeus scoffs, "Not a very skilled assassin then...." then she looks over Hroethgar's shoulder at the body of the slain wizard...
Angeus strides into the manor, and dramatically exlaims, "A murder most foul? We shall investigate! " though she really has no idea how to investigate a murder. She walks around, trying to remember anything Maxim might have told her about this family....
....but somehow he managed to get her assigned to this detail! If she sees a member of the family or their staff, she bluntly asks, "So, what happened?"
