Amin glares at his remarkably clean glaive, and slides it into its scabbard on his back.

"Glad we could assist in ridding the city of these...vermin. Hopefully they'll stay away with their trade disrupted."

Looking around the group, he grins under his beard. "I'm impressed with everyone's grit, I was worried I'd get thrown in with amateurs!" Amin chuckles at his own joke and pats Regina on the head.

Amin rushes after Bugdip and Tybain, feeling acutely embarrassed about his wild swing.

Double move!

Regina attempts to maintain her footing as the floor suddenly has almost no friction.

She misjudges in a very uncatlike manner and skitters unceremoniously to the floor.

Amin huffs as Dogmeat whirls in circles and ruffles his back, but doesn't do anything to assist. "Typical mutts."

He rushes down the stairs to confront Eenie. "Alright, ya tosser, best keep those prayers coming!". He swings the glaive towards her body, trying to surprise her with the weapon's reach.

Attack w/Glaive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 --UGH not even rolling for damage. Say I tripped on Dogmeat since I moved through his square.

Meanwhile, Regina slides into her instinctual hunting mode, and tries to run behind Miney.

Regina Acrobatics (+2 Dex from Focus): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 ---I'll just be over here in the corner Lorting it up...I'll leave Regina where she is and she provokes, assuming Miney's CMD is above 9...

Assuming Regina fails the Move action, she can still attack, so I'll have her bite.

I'll double move for my prep action to be a bit closer and move Dogmeat as well.

Amin senses trouble and moves himself and Dogmeat closer towards Bugdip. Just then the Aspis guards throw open the door.

Amin positions himself at the top of the stairs, brandishing his glaive. "You pile of fish guts! I hope you've made peace with whatever fool god decided to take you as a worshipper!" Whistling, he commands, "Dogmeat, sick 'em!"

Handle Animal: Attack Moe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 I don't think Dogmeat listens...GM you can roll / decide what Dogmeat does!

Meanwhile, Regina leaps on the box that had previously been blocking the door and tries to use Miney as a chew toy.

Assuming Meenie is down from Glarifyur's attack, can Regina attack Miney from the top of the box? If not, disregard her attack and move her below the box, 10 feet away from Glarifyur.

"We'll stay where we are." Amin ruffles Dogmeat's head, almost as if he were getting used to the mangy mutt. "If they come through the break room they'll get a taste of glaive and fang!" He tries to hunker down a bit and quiet the dog.

Signalling for Dogmeat to continue staying, Amin joins the others in the breakroom, leaning on his glaive in a relaxed manner.

"The froggy fellow speaks the truth. Lazlo was feeding the people poison, and using them as little more than lab animals. Disgusting! You fellows seem reasonable, and can understand our position."

Amin, glaive still at the ready, relaxes a bit so as not to appear too aggressive. He does his best to suppress the urge to speak up, seeing that Edgar and the others seem to at least have the agents' attentions.

Glarifyur, no worries about re-positioning Regina, she will follow you around and attack anything that makes a move against you. As for Amin, he's going to keep his mouth shut for now :-)

Amin sees the frogman getting the dog under control, but knows it may not last...He reaches out to the scarred beast with supernatural empathy, trying to let the creature know he is part of a pack now.

"Dogmeat, come!" He motions to his side near the break room door.

He whistles for Regina to guard Glarifyur from any harm.

Knowing that battle may be imminent, he reaches out to Regina with his thoughts and grants her the strength of the Tiger with a quick blessing from Gozreh.

Amin readies his glaive and waits.

Animal Focus: Tiger: The creature gains a +2 enhancement bonus to Dexterity.

Also, the dim light doesn't affect Regina or I, so unless someone feels strongly about it either way I'm good with dim light.

Edit: So I don't make a million posts. I think I'm the only one trained in Handle Animal, so I will take the dog to the break room entrance and command Regina to guard Glarifyur.

I agree, we should just be straight up, I'm not much of a talker though so I'll be keeping my mouth shut most of the time...

I'll go with Glarifyur's suggestion and Regina and I will take the office. My only concern is using my glaive in an enclosed space, but I'll make Regina go first :-)

"Now we wait." Amin leans against some boxes near the stairwell, carefully removes his glaive, and begins sharpening it with a whetstone.

Regina lounges nearby, her body relaxed but her eyes sharp. After each pass of the whetstone, Amin mumbles a line from a prayer.

Amin grumbles "Looks like you two have the dog under control. More fond of cats anyway." He smirks at Regina, who almost looks...smug?

"These heavy bastards aren't going to move themselves!"

Amin shows the group where he thinks, at a minimum, the boxes should be placed.

I put boxes barring the main warehouse door, I think at a minimum we should block that to prevent a total bum rush. Let me know what you think.

Would I have time to assist with calming the dog and help move crates, or is it either or?

"Glarifyur, maybe we should 'allow' them into the lower dock area by blocking off the main entrances? Then we're at a height advantage, they'll have to come up those stairs, and we might use the crane as either a trap or mobility boost. I ain't one to fight fair if I can help it." Amin says, with a knowing wink.

Looking around the warehouse, Amin examines the crane in more detail to find out how it works, and in which directions the doors open.

After having a celebratory pint or four from the tavern, Amin manages to drift off to sleep on the gently rocking boat, the extra ale helping to dull his unease enough about sleeping on water. Regina curls up beneath the cot, licking the last bits of dirt and muck from her paws before emitting a quiet sigh and dozing off.

Waking the next day feeling refreshed, with only a few minor scorch marks from the alchemist's bombs, Amin pulls on his armor, gives Regina a pat on the head, and joins the rest of the party above decks.

"Morning!" He tosses a rogue fish to Regina, who begins batting it around the deck playfully before devouring it in a few bites. "Did you find any breakfast, Glarifyur?"

I'm good to head to the warehouse whenever everyone is ready :-)

"I agree, we should help these unfortunates to a temple. Sleeping on the boat...I guess I can get used to it." Amin grumbles, tossing a sideways glance at Regina. The cat looks perturbed.

He begins helping one of the addicts to their feet.

I was going to buy a wand of CLW with my 2 PP, can I still do that? If I can, I'll heal Regina and myself up.

Impressed with his new companions' battle prowess, Amin falls back into his cultural ways now that he is underground, and searches around the statue for any sign of hidden passages or compartments.

"Maybe Lazlo has his alchemical ingredients hidden somewhere out of sight. We need to find a sample of the poisons he's been distributing."

Regina sniffs around the statue as well, using her powerful nose to try and pick up a scent of chemicals.

Looks like we didn't get dressed up for nothing, Amin wryly thinks as he charges into the fray.

I'm going to charge Lazlo with my glaive. If for some reason Steve says I can't, then I'll just double move behind Nugats and Bugdip, trying for any AoO on Lazlo since I have reach. Regina will do the same.

Regina senses Amin charging, and does the same, though her catlike reflexes are slightly impaired by the beetle's defensive attack.

Amin backs up a few steps (one square back), and draws his glaive, while at the same time signalling with a whistle for Regina to leap over to the other side of the tunnel, in front of the woman.

Acrobatics: Regina: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Gruffly, Amin speaks. "We don't want any trouble, just answer our questions." His voice reverberates in the cramped tunnels.

I'm preparing for a fight, but not being too aggressive at this point.

With a quick flick of his hand to signal Regina to stay close, Amin moves East a few steps along the walkway, warily glancing down at the river of sewage. Gozreh preserve my nose, he thinks. City life clearly doesn't sit well with Amin. Regina emits a low growl and sniffs the air tentatively, before pinning her ears back and looking disgusted with the panoply of odors.

I'd like to survey the sickly looking "patients" and also see if I recognize the rat statue. I'm going to roll Dungeoneering, I'm assuming that applies to this situation

Well I have to try it now :-) Also, I don't mind being separated from Regina, since it makes sense story wise. I just wanted to make sure I could still signal/whistle to her to get her to try the fetch trick.

"Uh, right, I did have the lion, I'll see if I can get her over here to help with these filthy rats..."

Amin whistles to Regina, trying to get her attention...

Regina gingerly plods near the first mate, and tries to snatch the keys with her mouth...

If she successfully steals the keys I'm going to send her back below to the other group, and I'll start to chase the "rats". If she botches, I'll play off that she is just drawn to the jingling keys, and maybe the first mate should take better care with them...

So I'm still on the docks but Regina made it onboard? I'm just wondering what my options are when I don't have direct control over her. I would almost like to see if she could stealthily grab the keys, but I don't think I have that granular of a level of control over her. She does have the Fetch trick, I just need her to do a sneaky fetch...

If that seems too risky and someone on the boat is capable of picking locks I'll be more conservative and work on the distraction on the docks.

I'll be sneaking around the back of ship

Amin waits for a lull in the foot traffic around the docks, then gives a slight nod to Regina, who skitters around the back of the ship and stealthily glides over the railing.

Trying to follow, Amin less-than-nimbly jumps the railing and lands with a thud. "Gozreh's Spit!" he curses, looking around to see if he's been too clumsy...

Seeing the commotion around the ship, Amin decides to stay close to the Dragon, but not directly join the group and arouse any suspicion. He wonders if there are any other means of getting on the ship that don't involve swimming or charging the gangplank...He looks at Regina, who seems to read his mind about the whole swimming business and gives a disgruntled look.

Amin gives a few low whistles and Regina heads off a few paces ahead, slinking in the shadows of the cargo lining the docks...

I'm basically walking a bit past the ship, but not enough to be out of eyesight of the group. I want to see if there are any nearby docks, smaller boats, etc that I could jump or climb to in order to reach the Dragon

Still trying to get his footing, Amin finally speaks up.

"This alchemist seems to be a blight on the city, he should be dealt with. I agree with Glarifyur." Amin nods knowingly at the other dwarf. While he hasn't always been aligned with the goals of paladins, its hard not to feel kinship with another dwarf.

"As for the other task, Regina and I can stay quiet if we need to be...subtle."

Still working up my stat block, I can't keep up with you guys!

A stocky dwarf makes his way up the gangplank. He clearly does not look enthralled by the idea of boarding a boat, and seems a bit unsteady even though the vessel is still at anchor. A chipped and battered glaive hangs on his back, and he's outfitted in various furs and skins, with a studded leather breastplate peeking out of his cloak.

Next to him saunters a mountain lion, muscles rippling down its back. Its coat is a deep khaki color, and it seems to immediately size everyone up with uncomfortably intelligent eyes.

"First time out and they put me on a boat..." the dwarf mumbles under his breath.

Looking around he spots Zarah. "Captain Zendrani, I presume? Name's Amin...apologizes for my tardiness, ma'am. I'm ready to sail, and Regina here won't be any trouble."

He glances at the cat, who for a brief second looks to be scowling...
