Altovin still struggles to keep control in the current but it luckily places him near an ally.

Absolutely fine with hand waving the rest of the level but I won't be continuing. Mostly because my bandwidth is scrapped thin and I have been downsizing my committments. I am about to move to another country so it is only going to get worse for me.

It usually depends on the person and they mention when they roll. I always roll high is favorable for the roller so Light Fortification procs on 75-100, Medium 50-100, Heavy 25-100.

Yeah. This looks bad bad! I got a plethora of Tales boons but they all affect only Altovin for the most part.

I can only swim 10 feet on a success (full-action). If the current is still stronger where I am I would prefer to let it carry me along. I moved my 10 feet if not.

Altovin continues to get swept along the corridors.

That sounds extremely rough. I have had you in my thoughts, for what it is worth. And I always say life has to come first and this seems like a reasonable absence as any.

It probably battered our momentum but I am sure we can get back up to cruising speed eventually! Altovin has just been enjoying his nice swim.

Altovin is able to right himself in the stream for a moment hoping to see the others coming along eventually.

"Oh no....oh noooo. I am sick of water." Altovin cries as the water begins to swell.

Altovin gets behind the front as well ready to follow Shabah in.

"Hope Dasus gets out okay." Altovin says somberly as the half-orc leaves for the surface again. When he turns to see the new party member he can't help but be excited it isn't a water elemental of some sort.

"The last random encounter I had was meeting Courage over there. Hopefully you are as much a blessing as he has been. You aren't a water elemental in disguise are you? Oh...you wouldn't tell me if you were would you. I am Altovin Prynn...bra-*ahem*-BRAVE PALADIN OF JAIDZ" he says once he climbs up on to a dry spot to rest. He looks at his familiar for approval.

Afterwards he looks at Shabah and makes sure they are connected.

"I can make sure you stay healthy from here if you want to explore the water. I can barely tread it."

I would rather not run the pre-gen but if I need to I would rather run an Oracle over a summoner just as it is less to manage for the rest of the level. Just gotta get the sheet.

Altovin sputters to a dry spot looking like a wet rag and gets to work with his wand...which apparently seems waterlogged at first.

"This place is certainly testing my courage...and my lungs. Perhaps the next level will be a nice dry hearth with a breakfast spread." he says attempting to keep morale up.

"I fear I won't be of much help either but perhaps my friend can help us conjure up something from our memories."

Altovin takes a look at the mask and hands it to Dasus.

"Don't be mad at me but I think you need this more than I do. You aren't the best swimmer...I am not much better though." he says with a smile and pushing the mask towards his friend before heading in with the others morningstar in hand. Double Move.

Once he is in the room and sees the combat break out he sends courage off to assist the others attacking.

"Courage...stick with Yanda so you aren't in danger. Help guide her bombs." Courage will give her Guidance each turn for +1 to something.

"Yeah...we couldn't have found a magical sponge or something."

Altovin nods after he clambers to some dry land.

"I...I yeah...not going to leave anyone behind and with the things lurking in here someone has to tend to your wounds. Courage too!" he says as his thrush shakes of droplets of water while pecking the gnomes head. He tries in vain to squeeze out the water from his cloak even though he is about to head back in.

He taps himself twice to heal most of his wounds but it seems his wand is affected by the waterlogging too. LOL.

Still struggling to breach the surface Altovin at least spots the monster spit something into Shabah's face.

He scrambles underwater to assist his ally in clearing the even murkier glob from his face.

Altovin continues to struggle with swimming and bobs under the murky waters.

I still have to help somehow...Dasus is struggling too.

Altovin tries to sweep his hands under Dasus pushing him to the surface.

...yet in the water the size difference still makes it a futile effort.

Sorry, I thought the breathing rules were going to be worse and saw it is the score that you have for rounds of breathing. So I took an action.

Re-looked at the holding breath rules and realized it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Will take an action.

As the small gnome bobs in place underneath the murky water he taps himself with a wand.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 = 6

Will pass on my standard.

Swim: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4

Altovin starts to struggle and dips below the water much like his linked ally.

Swim: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 1 = 18

Altovin does well to maintain bouyancy and take the moment as a chance to heal Shabah direcetly.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10

Swim: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 1 = 15

Altovin continues to bob along in the water while keeping the group healthy. He doggy paddles by Dasus and gets ready to heal Shabah.

"Dasus, Shabah needs my help so I am going to give him my boon. Be careful!" Altovin says as he focuses on switching his Life Link to Shabah.

Altovin works to keep up with the group swimming along the best he can with Courages help.

As he treads water he summons a blessing from Jaidz to assist the group.

"Oh...did I mention I also don't like water...well...I don't." Altovin says letting his fear get to him once again but he continues on as Courage bops him on his head as he goes.

Altovin begins to squeeze out his damp cloak before healing his wounds with a wand.

"Is everyone else okay? Let's make sure we didn't miss anything before we head deeper in? I will be right behind you all."

Altovin steps backwards before fleeing to heal.

"I have to heal before this pain overwhelms me."

CLW: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 8

Altovin yells out in surprise as Shabah runs by.

"Oh no. I never know what to do in these situations. Are we running? Dasus?" he calls out before backing back up near Yanda so she can blast anything coming.

Altovin ever so slowly wades forward asking Courage to stay with Yanda providing her Guidance each round.

"Well, I will stick with you this time Yanda. I don't like any of this myself and don't want to be alone." Altovin says sheepishly while healing himself and following.

Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 8

Seeing Yanda burst back through Altovin is once again confused on how best to help.

"A swarm? I have nothing to help with that and do not want to get in the way. Courage stay with Yanda and guide her aim in case that swarm comes through." he says stepping back.

Move and Courage will stay with/Guidance Yanda.
