The frost giant screams and topples over with a thunderous crash as it succumbs to Fredrick's magnetized hydrokinetic blast!

The invisible ninja's blade is turned by the staggering giant's thick hide armor!

The last giant stumbles and bellows in agony as the shining reaper plies his holy scythe, mowing away beard and throat, but not quite decapitating the great savage!

The giant moans and collapses with a thunderous *BOOOM!!!*.... A torrent of blood gushes from multiple wakizashi wounds in its great carcass....

A slash of the greataxe Vs Nacht 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21 whistles overhead...

An iterative swing 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26 likewise whiffles....

The other giant glowers at Alphonse and swings 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22 wide....

Then tries again 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26 to no avail....

[dice=Invisible flank attack Piranha]1d20 + 16 - 2 + 2

[dice=Damage]1d6 + 2 + 4 + 1d6 + 2d6 + 5d6

The frost giant stumbles unexpectedly just enough to the side that Hisao's strike glances off an iron stud on its leather belt instead of piercing its belly....

The wounded frost giant swings at Alphonse 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34, hacking into the English aasimar for 3d6 + 13 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) + 13 = 22 slashing damage.... Backswing 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 slashes Alphonse for 3d6 + 13 ⇒ (2, 4, 5) + 13 = 24 more damage!

The fourth frost giant swings at Nacht 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22, missing.... Backswing 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 also misses the agile Beetle Man!

The fifth frost giant turns back to face deeper into the Glacial Rift, and lifting a great, curved, mammoth tusk horn to its bearded mouth, sounds a long and mighty blast that reverberates through the icy tunnels....

HHHHOOOOOOOOOONNNNKKK!!!!

Again, Hisao's leading strike falls short by a fraction of an inch, slicing the furs layered over the giant's pale blue flesh, but not the flesh.... But the follow-up strike opens the wounded giant's femoral artery, releasing a torrent of icy blood that anoints the invisible ninja, briefly leaving the impression of a crimson ghost crouched in the snow behind the toppling giant!

UUUUGGGHHH!!! *KA-THUD!!!*

The wounded giant swings his massive greataxe at Paddy! 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19 a clumsy miss! He swings again at the Irishman.... 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 missing again!

The third frost giant emerges from the icy tunnel, stands over the fallen body of the first giant, and swings at Nacht.... 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34 slashing for 3d6 + 13 ⇒ (6, 6, 6) + 13 = 31 damage! Backswing 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 misses the Beetle Man....

A second frost giant pushes past the first, bursting out of the glacial tunnel with massive greataxe held poised to strike a thunderous blow........

It is clear that a few more at least are bunched up in the tunnel behind these two.... Perhaps five in total....

Go ahead and roll initiative for when the frost giants arrive in three rounds.... Hisao, Paddy and Nacht get a surprise round on the giants....

Initiative 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14

The thunderous rumble of armed and armored frost giants grows nearer and louder, echoing in the great glacial rift....

From deeper within the glacial tunnel echoes the braying of bestial war horns....

Booming basso voices rumble in the icy deeps, and the clank of iron echoes off the icy walls as giant figures in giant mail hauberks take up giant axes and swords....

The Lusty Fools have three rounds to prepare for the arrival of another wave of defenders....

The flaming-oil-fried frost giant, in a fury of pain, swings wildly at the Beetle Man 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25, missing.... His backswing 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15 also fails to connect with the nimble Nacht!
