Algor loses himself in the moment as the wasps engulf him, their stingers searching for his flesh.

"Die you blahsted VERHMIN! Youh'll suffer for youhr..."

Suddenly shutting his mouth, Algor glances guiltily around to see who may have caught his outburst in the midst of the swarm, and quickly revises his words, speaking slowly and loudly as if a child were eavesdropping.

"I mean, uh, surehly these wahsps would not be such a frehnzy had it not been for Mankind's slohw advance into their nahtural habitats. I rehgret that I must continue to use fire, my hands forced by my own ignorant kihnd..."

Once again, Algor proves his mastery as an orator, somehow fitting entire orations into a mere six seconds while simultaneously weaving his shamanistic magic.

Algor moves out and casts:

Backing away from the wasps, Algor composes himself and like a dragon breathes red hot flames in a long line through a pair of the swarms.

Algor groans as the majority of wasps still plague citizens.

"Peohple... this is what happens when such creatures are dehnied their nahtural habitats!"

Nonetheless, he comes to the people's aid since, after all, they provide the main source of revenue for book sales on such matters, and a person who has first hand experience like this is more likely than average to buy a book.

If he thinks the crowd can be dispersed with Diplomacy, he'll go that route since it will free up a good shot at 3 swarms at once for next round.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35

Perhaps the people flee in terror from Algor's orations more than the danger of the swarm? :)

Otherwise if we can clip a single swarm with an AoE spell, we'll do that and clip yellow.

"The blue-skinned fiend is cleahrly not natural, otherwise I'd idehtify it for you all... the same goes for this latest dihv..."

We have several targets now right? The blue-skinned woman who was pretended to be the prince? The assassin? The div? It also appears we have 4 swarms now, too.

Algor strides purposefully ahead, seeking to deal with the supernaturally summoned swarms.

Dragon's Breath DC20 Reflex for half. 60ft line of fire vs the swarms. That is, unless the citizens would be affected and/or cannot disperse for a clear shot. I believe he can clip the swarms such that he could get 3 of them.

It's odd, but my player spider-senses suggest if I'm finding a secret door, that perhaps there's not a bunch of "false guards" just milling about outside? Or there's a "fuzzy amount" of them and we're essentially working to thwart the majority of remaining Korholm agents from releasing non-Aspenthar born prisoners. Perhaps if they don't share the sacred beliefs of the holiday, they are more likely to disrespect it and cause trouble?

Reserving my actions and speaking until I know where and what NPCs are on the map, if any. If there are some, Algor will absolutely go up and start talking about unrelated concerns. If there are not any, then it would feel like using the secret door to get inside and take a look around might make some sense, perhaps using magic to help cover our entry?

"Well, there's a sehcret doohr right there!"

When you say this:

EndlessForms wrote:
Unfortunately as you arrive, the agents in charge of letting the prisoners go—dressed in Pashow’s pale yellow, black, and maroon colors—are already starting to free convicts.

Do you mean they are freeing the prisoners rather than simply moving them to another facility? I thought Aspenthar-born were actually legitimately allowed to participate today? Are we supposed to prevent the release of foreign-born prisoners? Or just Korholm baddies from using propaganda or something to stir up the local born prisoners and incite them into violence? Trying to figure out how we help here...

"Should we check the prihson next? I wonder what we could expect there that we could prepare for in advance?"

What are we looking at in travel times for crossing the city? Would 10/min/level spells be good for a few locations?

If the estimate is that we could visit a couple of our locations in the span of 3 hours, Algor will conjure extended heroism, barkskin and heightened awareness alongside a non-extended false life. The false life definitely happens.

Algor flips through one of his many books while casually observing the ceremony, clearly interested in speaking to his gather allies more than paying attention to the strangers about him.

"Those are simply sword-fighting stances she is util-hizing to honor the fall-hen hero today, of cour-house also commemorating Saren-hrae's great battle with Rovoh-guhug."

Closing his religious tome, seeming only to open it when convenient to enable him to espouse questionably useful facts, Algor instead procures a separate tome - this one his usual autographed work, Inconvenient Knowledge, and seems ready to press it into Lyheri's hands.

As he stands with his allies, Oswin included, Algor appears ready to open his mouth as the priest asks to be told more - a wry smile on his face as if he's unused to being asked to provide even more information on things (and clearly is oblivious to the question being directed at Lyheri).

He casts his own false life (will last 9 hrs)

False Life: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

If he ascertains that they can cross the breadth Aspenthar in a half-hour or so, and make it to the battle site and back in under an hour, he'll cast extended heroism and extended heightened awareness (good for 3 hrs). Presumably after the temple of Sarenrae and Commune for these as he expects to not be looking for clues/threats until they reach their first location after that.

Planes: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Algor has little to add about divs in particular, but opts instead to detail each of the elemental planes that a div might originate from, along with a general overview of each planes inhabitants ~ nothing that most any Pathfinder wouldn't have already discovered on their own.

Does anyone take Algor's autographed books from the table? He will scoop up any left behind and return them to his haversack.

Got crossposted this morning and missed GMEF's post!

History: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Local: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Algor ignores much of Aspenthar's history, assuming it is irrelevant to his purpose on Golarion, preferring to focus on current events and how they may be impacting the environment (and his book sales).

He will verbosely share all the knowledge in Local for checks DC10 through DC25. Twice.

TLDR: City colors; Palace and plaza; Ah-Misehp battle site; poorly guarded prison. Algor preps legend lore, so I could see a possible use at Al-Misehp's battle site if we come upon it...

After the briefing, Algor arches an eyebrow at Braugher and extends a hand.

"Did you not read the buh'huks cover? My name was written on the front. I am Algor, and I am an ad-herrant of the Green Faith..."

He introduces his arctic white fox as well.

"This here is Mute, which I believe means you should know the answer to the age old question of - what does the fox say?"

Algor straightens himself slightly, an impressive feat given how stiff he already appears to be, taking a look at the coffee.

"I do hope those bee-heens were sourced from a certified farm... their large trees provide a habitah-hat for native wildlife, support soil health, fight erosion and confer side benefits, like fruit and firewood."

He smiles and stretches an empty hand towards the lioness present.

"Gree'heetings, noble liohnuss. Would you like to meet my lit'uhl friend?"

A pure white fox pup appears to scamper from somewhere on Algor's person as a number of leaves fall from his formal garb - magically? - to the ground.

"Ah, this brave little feh'low I rescued from the Crow'hown of the Wuh'hurld."

It seems an eternity passes as Algor slowly relates several details of impending peril to the Crown of the World - like slowly eroding icecaps - before he makes a final gesture to an item he carried into the room with him.

"Ah! This here is my lowkbocks. Those of you familiar with the Boh'hold Strih'durs may have heard about my lowkbocks. I have a plah'han to secure all Pathfinder pension fuh'hunds and secure them in what I call my lowkbocks." In the case of untimely deh'mihse, a Pah'thfinder could draw upon his pension funds for medical suh'vuces..."

Algor's lockbox is a flag that he employs with the Flagbearer feat. As long as you are within range of his "lockbox", you are inspired to know your pension funds as a Pathfinder are secure and gain +1 on hit/damage rolls. GM allowance varies, but I"m happy to roleplay it as a flag with a lockbox and the Pathfinder wayfinder emblazoned on it, or an actual mundane lockbox with the wayfinder carved into its exterior.

Selected the shaman - I haven't had a chance to flex him in PbP yet, but have plenty of store time with him, so wanted to give him a spin.

The fifth agent to arrive, Algor steps into the room, dressed formally in a navy blue suit and red tie. Giving a polite nod, he steps forward and drops five heavy bound tomes onto the table.

Each book bears this man's face on the cover, his eyes staring straight ahead with some sort of rich verdant jungle backdrop behind him.

He finally speaks, his voice slow and measured and exhibiting a drawl.

"Greehtings Pahth-fihnders..."

He gestures to the books.

"Behfore you, I have provided fihve tomes of knahwludge, detailing the pligh-hight of Mother Golarion as she battles clih'mate change of the most suh-vere kind."

Each of these are Pathfinder Chronicles, +2 to Knahwludge (Nature) checks. Yes, he carries six and is loaning one to everyone during the scenario.

You all are loathe to look at the tomes, but see each appears to bear this man's autograph.

"I've just returned from the Mah-whangi Juh-ungles, and the sih-tuation is growing worse and worse each day as the dreaded Ahs'pis relent-luhssly lah-hog for timber..."

Algor continues to prattle on for nearly ten minutes, discussing a variety of topics ranging from the noxious emissions of the Gas Forges in Riddleport to the horrific impact the "Wuh'hurldwound" is having to weather in "Vahuh'risia".

He seems knowledgeable in a wide range of topics although he seems to be incapable of sharing these in anything but the most verbose, time-consuming manner.
