Updated build a little bit. Let me know if you see a problem! :)

I'd like to apply with this bard! :D

Presenting this bard, Alexander Edwin LaCroix (Dawnflower Dervish) for your consideration for ROTRL!

Updated backstory to be more relevant to the campaign.

Will need a little refluffing, but this is my presentation. Any suggestions on backstory for you world would be appreciated!

DM:
Alexander will sneak up to see what is going on!
Stealth 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

DM:
Alexander will approach the shadow of the woman and look to see if he recognized who is casting the shadow.

DM:

Alexander will try to keep following the scent... maybe looking out some windows to see if it is coming from outside, and continuing to call out for Isabelle.

No problem! :)

DM:
Alexander will attempt to locate the source of said aroma then. Calling out for Isabella if necessary so if there is a sentient being at the source, they might hear me.

DM:
Alexander will leave after settling Ameiko's seat.
Then he will take a look around the sandpoint theatre, looking for Isabelle..

DM:

"I haven't seen her. Where could she have gone I wonder!?"
Alexander will search the theatre looking for her. Asking other if they have seen her.

DM:

"One seat it is M'lady!" Xander will then finish his meal, pay (plus a gold coin for a tip) , and then go back to the theatre to acquire a ticket for Ameiko if not too late, or he isn't otherwise interrupted.

DM:
"I am but a victim of my own charms m'lady! I feel your pain, I honestly do! I cannot even walk the street without being gawked at!" Xander jokingly says smiling.

"Are you looking foward to the festival Ameiko? You know I will be performing a show and it's looking to be a great one! I would just be floored if you were to attend, should I get you a good seat Ameiko? Maybe a plus one? Though I can't provide the date, I doubt you'd have trouble finding one."

DM:

Xander will approach and sit at the bar.
"Hello Ameiko! I am here to eat and watch others fail to earn your affections. It has been too long, good to be here! I will take the special and the wine to match the meat please my dear."

DM:

After rehearsal, depending on what time of day it is, I will either try to go find Aldern or go to the rusty dragon for some food if it is dinner time or later since I haven't ate yet. If I run into Shayliss I will invite her to the Rusty Dragon.

Welcome back!

Also sorry to hear that Hez. Good luck to you.

I am still here! :D Hope all is well. Don't work too hard Mittean.

Alright sounds good. Hope you have a good trip. See you when you get back!

DM:

"Yes my friend I do...but I can assist you in anyway I can when I am done. You know where to find me!"

Alexander will head to rehearsal when it is time.

DM:

Alexander follows his friend out of the store.
"Bandits!? We just dealt with some bandits this morning! Man what is the world coming to? So what should we do Aldern?"

Feedback

DM:

I am playing two other PBP games. This is by far my favorite of the three. Good DMing and I enjoy the mix of characters. Plus I always like a chance to go off and get some soloing roleplaying in to develop characters.

DM:
"Seven is my lucky number! Good show my man. I'd love to have a trip to riddleport.
You should have seen the look on the Lord Mayor's chubby face when I was exonerated. It was worth every minute spent in that jail cell. I thought for sure I'd be hanging from a rope by the end of the week though!"

DM:
"Ok lets go then my friend! Shayliss I apologize, I will keep you in my thoughts my dear. Perhaps we can get together another time! "

Xander follows Aldern to see what he has in store.

"Aldern, you almost had my heart jump out of my chest! If only you knew what I've been through with women and their parents lately!"

Well it certainly has been an exciting evening! We had a run in with a goblin! I had the little cretin in my sights, dead to rights, and a female elf stole my glory! Not only that but she eyes me like I am some sort of embarassment to her! The nerve of that woman! Luckily she did not want to stay too long. I do not think I could stomach her glare much longer.

I am currently on watch and nothing is happening. It is almost time to go wake up Toban. I hope the guy didn't stink up my bedroll. In all seriousness though...maybe I should get a stick, I don't want him to wake up swinging!

Alexander's Journal

I am going to add another entry when I get back too!

What a crazy few days it has been! To think, I was close to rotting in a jail cell and probably being executed by that fat louse Lord Mayor Haldmeer Grobaras. Luckily for me Satinder was there to save my hide!
How that man could be her father, I'll never know! I wonder what Satinder said to her to get her to admit it was consensual though...maybe her reminded her how good I was to her! Hah! Yeah that'd be the day! I'm sure she just got tired of his constant proding...unlike with me!

All jokes aside, the journey up to Sandpoint is certainly going to be a memorable one. My good friends Hez, Toban, and Satinder are to accompany me. I suggested we go on foot. The others seem to really hate the idea, but why rush to Sandpoint when we can make it an adventure? I am surely looking foward to the trip. I just hope we run into some excitement!

DM:
"Excuse me sir (or madam), this is my personal dressing room. If you wish to see a show, buy a ticket."

Alexander pauses and thinks with his other head for a moment.

"Shayliss...how old are you? Do you recognize that voice? Your father (or mother depending on the voice) isn't a government official is he (she)?

Alexander quickly makes himself more presentable and after a quick kiss to Shayliss, goes to open the door, assuming they don't just barge in.

"I'm sorry sir (or madam), were you looking for your lovely daughter Shayliss? I am Alexander Edwin LaCroix. I was giving her a tour of the theater, and I must say she is a devout fan of the arts! I am just as taken by her beauty as I am by her mind! You should be proud good sir (or madam), it's not everyone that can claim such a fine daughter! You must come from good stock, and have done a wonderful job in raising her!
Diplomacy
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 (+1 if the person could be attracted to me).

Edit ooc: LOL could that roll be even more appropriate? An angry parent or whatever, wouldn't hear any of what I said anyway!

Oh my bad. 1300 exp it is!

DM:
"Well Shayliss, I am glad to hear that, and I promise I do not disappoint! It's not all show though, Why just last night I saved my companions from a goblin attack! Then this morning we foiled would be robbers plans to take a poor merchant duo's cart of wares! Enough about me though, tell me more about yourself, I'd like to "get to know you better" *wink*

DM:

Hmm I hope this isn't going to get me on trial again! Alexander things to himself.
"Well my lady can I offer you anything?" Alexander says as he offers her a seat and slides in next to her....

Diplomacy roll for the awkward moments in life!
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Done, thanks!

What is the date right now, and what day of the week? Just wondering for my journal.

Journal for Greed of the Runelords.

DM:

Alexander will smile and bow to the women. He will then make a small rose appear to rise out of his hand with Prestidigitation, and as soon as it looks fully bloomed i will make it appear to explode into confetti. ( I assume it'll take two castings.)

Arcane Performer rolls
Perform Acting Checks, DC 10 for cantrips
Cast 1 for flower. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Cast 2 for confetti effect. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

"Good day to you, lovely ladies! Would any of you like a personal tour of the theater? I could use some help with my lines too...Perhaps one of you have the makings of an actress!"

Alexander devilishly smiles.

Diplomacy
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 (Assuming the charming trait applies here.)I will also use seducer's eyes as a swift action (from my lust sin).

"Ah, good old Sandpoint. Just think Hez, Ameiko is within walking distance! Still, it is good to be here. Thanks for accompanying me everyone, it was a great trip!"

"Glad we could help gentlemen! We tracked them down swiftly and it was only a matter of time before the drunken robbers realized they were no match for Alexander Edwin LaCroix! Oh, and these guys too."

Alexander says laughingly gesturing towards his friends.

"In all seriousness, that's Toban, Satinder, and the man we call Hez. We hope the rest of your journey is easy, just a warning though we had a small run in with a goblin on our way here so I'd try and make it there ASAP without too much camping if at all possible."

Awesome, thanks!

"You two really know how to take the wind out of my sails! I just hope they don't take their frustrations out on anyone in the mean time. Let us return the wagon then my friends. Who wants to drive?"

"Well I think maybe two of us should follow these guys into town and the others should return the wagon. Hez and I could probably neutralize these two without a fight with our talents, so might I suggest that we keep an eye on them while Toban and Satinder return the wagon?"

I knew I forgot something! Xander needs to pick up a spell component pouch lol.

"Well you leave me at a disadvantage sir. You seem to know my name, and have what vaguely resembles wit I might add, but I don't know yours. How about we drop the bravado, and go sleep off our intoxication like good drunkards? I'd hate for you to have to deal with the four of us in your current state!"
Alexander says with as much heroic flair as he can muster.

"We all being civilized men, surely we can come to a peaceful resolution! You gentlemen have procured a wagon that doesn't belong to you. Be it by mistake or not, the gentlemen would like their wagon back.I am sure you two would love to go sleep off your current condition. So I ask of you two gentlemen, please step down and give us the benefit of aiding our friends who own the wagon, and also allowing us the task of making sure you two go sleep off your spirits!"

Diplomacy
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Alexander will yell when he is close enough to the wagon to initiate conversation.
"Excuse me gentlemen, might we have a word? We hate to be a bother, but we have a pressing matter, and you might be able to help us!"

Diplomacy
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Lol, I totally botched that one. You are all correct, I am going to go dunk my head...stupid wretched cleanse I'm going through is worth than absinthe...

Your unarmed strikes are all correct. :) Satinder, you are correct on the class skill, I just assumed it was the racial one when I saw the option, my bad.

Xander, was there something we discussed that made you feel you had the language? I'll consider it, if I did.

and now I am fully confused on your skills...assuming you bolded the trained skills, you have 20...

Lets just list things you have ranks in. If you it is not a class skill, but have put ranks in it, don't bold it, and do label that it is a cross-class skill. (This is for everyone). :)

The RotRL players guide says that humans or particular descent gain Varisian, Shoanti, or Chelaxian as a bonus langauge. I asked if it was ok for Chelaxian, but it isn't a huge deal. I can just remove Draconic, which I originally had when developing a character because I was considering making some sort of dragon disciple but then decided to go for the bard.

Oh I thought you wanted us to Bold class skills, I totally misread! Sorry lol.

In a low voice to the others.
"How should we procede? You guys want to try to just talk to them? Or should we try and listen in to what they are saying first? I will say, they are clearly very drunk!"

First paragraph on page 141 (continued from 140) of the core rulebook it states:
"All characters are proficient with unarmed strikes and any natural weapons possessed by their race. A character who uses a weapon with which he is not proficient takes a –4 penalty on attack rolls."

This however assumes you are not house ruling otherwise. Which I would be fine with. Just trying to clarify. Though I will say, it would make starting drunken brawls less appealing! ;)

DM Mittean wrote:

Toban where is your swim +1 coming from? I'm not sure how you calculated that. And your Perception +1? Same with your Survival score? What is the calculation?

Everyone on your skill lists, if you list skills that are not trained in, please bold the ones you are trained in.

Also everyone please check your unarmed strike bonuses, and subtract four for being untrained, and list them as non-lethal damage.

Xander you have four languages, when I think you should have three. Did I miscount? And where are your flaws listed?

I can't tell what your trained skills are...or how perform was calculated. Also unarmed strike, Xander.

Satinder your unarmed strike as well, lol. And list your favored class, lol, and the bonus. Also, I think you are one trained skill too many...

You also have the alchemist racial trait, which replaces your SP per level...so -1 skill point, I think.

Where is your education feat found?

Ok I will change that stuff.

Is it a house rule for unarmed strike? Not a huge deal, but I was under the impression that every character was proficient with an unarmed strike.
Also, I added Chelaxian as a bonus language, but I can change that. I think I misunderstood, so I will just remove Draconic.

"Useless!? Well I would be hapy to have your company, but useless!? Your words wound me Toban! Alexander says laughing.

"Odd, they don't seem to be in a hurry, do they? Well they are heading towards sandpoint, so we can just try and get there to alert the authorities if we can't catch the wagon to question them beforehand."
Alexander will try to catch up to the wagon, without tiring himself out too much. I do still have a medium load.

Alexander will wave his companions to follow and try looking around the bend.

"Let us not allow these robbers to gain too much distance!"
