Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
You guys are going to almost make me miss Ajaline... :-) Ajaline's face is full of joy as he spins and twirls in what seems to be a never ending dance. Celestial lights and music surround him in a blissful cacophony of celebration and happiness. One moment he sees the beautiful elf who ushered him into the afterlife lithely weaving between the other dancers across grass covered meadow and the next her warm body is in his arms. She smiles up to him, "You have to see this," she says and pulls him away from the dance. Ajaline follows willingly. She leads him through the forest to the edge of a small cliff. The heavenly night sky stretches out before him. There's a shimmer in the sky and a small portal opens. It takes a few seconds of recall but then Ajaline recognizes the view through the portal. It is a view of the Flaxseed Lodge. Voices drift through the portal and Ajaline hears the kind words from those mortals he once knew. He chuckles at Zuv's comments. The image fades away leaving just the starry sky. Ajaline turns towards his companion. "Thanks for showing me that." She nods back, a huge smile filling her face. "Of course!" she replies. She gives Ajaline a moment to reflect. "But that season is over. Now you're here with me. And we will dance and play together for eternity." She pulls his hand and leads him easily back to the meadow. Ajaline's mortal memories fade once again and he embraces the rapturous afterlife.

I used to like flan... :-) The oozy acid finishes its job and dissolves Ajaline's body to a point beyond repair. Ajaline's soul, loosed from the bonds of his corporeal form, floats free of the ooze and gazes impassively on the mortal combat. He knows that moments ago he was there, but the importance and meaning of that life are fading quickly. Hosts of ancient elven ancestors materialize in ghostly form around Ajaline as the material plane continues to fade from view and memory. Elvish heros from legends encircle and greet Ajaline, flooding him with a sense of history and belonging that he never knew before. A jovial female elf dances through the throng in front of him singing a silly song. The beautiful elf plays a simple guitar while she prances through the crowd. Bells on her cloak jingle with each bouncy step. She approaches Ajaline with a grand smile on her face. "Welcome newcomer," she sings, "Won't you join me in my dance?" The last vestiges of Ajaline's physical life drop away and a grin splits his face. He takes the elf's hand and jumps into the dance. "I'd love to!"
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ajaline casts a quick spell on himself and a shield of energy covers him. Then he moves forward, closer to the kobolds, while drawing his shortbow. Cast shield -- last level 1 spell for today AC = 21 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, then 20 for 2 minutes, then 16 for 2 hours
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ajaline bows slightly to the gillman. "Thank you for your help. You saved our lives." He glances at Ickeckesses' body and adds with a solemn tone, "Almost all of us." He looks further down the passage from which the skeletons came. "I think we should check and see what was down there. Maybe there is something we can learn or gain from this. Something to compensate slightly for our losses."
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ok Draklog, it's all up to you. Just reminding you that I have a CLW wand that was in my hand when I got knocked out. If you could get over to me you could grab the wand and then cure me or Hal. That would get someone else in the fight. But it might be tricky to get out. Maybe run into the big area? If the skeleton's chase you, across the board, you might be able to dump one or two of them in the chasm? Just some thoughts.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Well, you get to add your CON modifier, so your result would have been 7. That's still not enough to stabilize. So your HP would drop to -11. But then Ajaline's CLW helped you with 9. Now you are at -2 and stabilized. Next turn, if I don't get knocked out, I'll boost my shield and then try to heal you again on a future turn.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
provoking Aoo, still have mage armor so my AC is 16 Ajaline sees an opening and moves around the skeleton towards Hal and Ickeckess. Fortunately he's still holding the cure light wounds wand. When he gets close to Hal he taps the wand on him. UMD: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Finally! CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 And max!
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
First the minotaur, then the skeletons? It seems this party is doomed to failure.:-) "So it's come to this, has it?" Ajaline weilds his quarterstaff and swings at the skeleton in front of him. "When the sorcerer has to start swinging a weapon, you know it's bad." quarterstaff, inspire: 1d20 + 0 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 0 + 1 = 10
Then Ajaline takes a 5 foot step back.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ajaline steps to the left of Draklor so that he can reach Hal. He reaches to touch the haft of Hal's flail and utters a few magic words. The flail glows for a second as it is imbued with the magic weapon spell. Then Ajaline digs through his bag and pulls out a wand of cure light wounds. Five foot step, standard action to cast spell, move action to get wand
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
I assume that less than 2 hours have passed since we were outside so my mage armor is still active. Also, Hal, your description says you have a flail. I'm assuming that's correct. Ajaline sees a flail hanging from Hal's belt. "Hal, you should switch to the flail against these things. It will break their bones faster." Then Ajaline points his finger towards the lead skeleton and a blob of green acid shoots towards it. acid splash, inspire: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8 ranged touch but this is probably still too low.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ajaline pulls up short with the appearance of the skeletons. "Hal! You need to get up front here. Draklor, you should step back." Ajaline shoots a green tanglevine from his palm at the lead skeleton, hoping to trip him up and then moves back, past Hal, so that Draklor can withdraw. "Sorry Draklor, I don't have any holy water." tanglevine: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Ajaline steps forward when the gillman begins to speak. "We are Pathfinders sent to explore. One of our leaders discovered this place, from the outside, and she tasked us to learn more about it so that we can learn and protect."
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Perception: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 2 = 3
Ajaline walks through the tunnels and caverns but barely notices the carvings on the walls.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ajaline takes the cloak from Hal. "Ok. Let me take a look at this." He shakes it out and then applies some of his arcane knowledge to try to determine what sort of magic imbues the cloth. He notices some flecks of silver threaded through the weave. Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 I'm assuming I get the bonus for identifying magical properties. "Ah yes, typical." He hands the cloak back to Hal. "This is a cloak of resistance. It will offer some small amount magical protection for the wearer." I don't want to say +1 to all saves because that sounds so meta.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
There's still a chance... For me this is rather costly. It's my one-and-only chance to play this scenario at level 2. And my character has 4 xp already so I'm losing that too if he dies. But it's just a game. :-) And besides, Ajaline was always a bit condescending to many of his party members so maybe it's just karma.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Sure. Or grabbing the stuff out of Janira's bag (cause I know what's in there from other games) and trying to immobilize him. Or having everyone stay spread out so that he couldn't be in reach of multiple people at once. Hindsight and all that... But then, not engaging to begin with, that would have been better. :-)
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ok, when it's my turn to attack I can either do my shortbow (+3 to hit, 1d6-1 dmg) or I can do acid splash (+3 to hit against touch, 1d3 damage). Since acid splash is against touch it is more likely to hit but the average damage is 1.5 while the average for my 1d6-1 is 2.5. GM, you said that the minitaur only needs but one attack to be dropped. Are you saying that my acid splash might have enough oomph to drop it?
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
I couldn't do a ranged attack within his threatened square. Don't think I could survive the Aoo. So, I'll try to intimidate the guy this round and step far enough away next round. Draklor, maybe you can move the other direction so that the minitaur has to choose one of us and leave the other open for making an attack.
Male Elf Sorcerer (verdant) /2 -- DEAD
Ajaline steps back from the onrushing minotaur and then the horror and frustration of the situation fills him with outrage. With a face of pure anger he yells at the beast. "You mindless mass of murdering horror! There is not place for you in this world and yet you have dared to come against us. We would have left you in peace but your brainless rage has left no room for reason. Cower now before your masters!" Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 five foot step followed by a Demoralize Opponent attempt.
