"We have you now," Ajala says with what might pass for a smile as she brings her arm back for another mighty blow...

...only to find that her previous blow was likely a fluke as she only manages to crack the stone floor!

Ajala continues to harry Mokknok even as she calls for the others to fall back. "Fall back! I will keep him busy!" she cries as she tries to strike the creature yet again.

"Ha-whoooooa!" Ajala tries to take a swing at Mokknok as he charges after Josria but instead stumbles and very nearly falls flat on her face, instead.

Realizing the difficulty they're having in bringing the fat pugwampi down, Ajala tries to shift herself around to the creature's side in an attempt to flank him with the others.

Ajala will 5 foot step to the side of Mokknok before attacking; rolled the attack twice to account for the aura of misfortune!

"Too slippery! These things are too slippery!" Ajala rumbles, now beginning to sound frustrated. She tries once more to punch the pugwampi leader...

...but misses yet again!

Though starting to show chips and cracks in her form, Ajala continues her assault on the pugwampi chief in the hopes that defeating him will demoralize the rest.

"No more hiding behind tables and up in the rafters," Ajala observes as she moves to help Adroushan engage the fat pugwampi. "They must be very angry...or very confident. Or perhaps both."

"A wise idea," Ajala nods sagely from her position as sentry at the door. "And in spite of today's difficulties, we've succeeded in exploring a great deal," she adds with a satisfied smile.

"Pesky things," Ajala scowls as she takes another swing at the pugwampi in front of her.

"Much better," Ajala smiles as she strides over to the nearest pugwampi, wincing slightly as the shards and bits of glass crunch under her feet. When she closes the distance she swings a mighty arm around in a haymaker punch.

Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 Ajala acts in the same block as everyone else.

"Now this won't do at all," Ajala rumbles as the pugwampis tip over a table in an attempt to protect themselves. She strides forward, bits of glass and pottery crunching under her feet as she attempts to push the table out of the way of Reja and her friends.

Str (If Needed): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Reflex (DC 12): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

"Hmm. Perhaps I should try as well?" Ajala asks and then aims a mighty punch at the reticent door...

...which cracks and splinters, but still holds fast.

"I believe we might be better off turning our focus elsewhere," she suggests. "To break this door down will make a lot of noise and possibly yield nothing fruitful for us."

"A wise choice," Ajala agrees, speaking up for the first time since their earlier battle with the stirges. "This is a curious place...sad to see it fallen into such disrepair."

Ajala steps to one side to allow Mahk and Adroushan more room before bringing her arm around in a vicious attack.

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Can't move myself on mobile but Ajala will take a 5 foot step to the side of one of the stirges before attacking.

Ajala moves forward, stepping up next to Adroushan and forming something of a protective wall between the flying creatures and the rest of the party. "What sort of creatures are these, Reja? They buzz like the mosquito..."

Ajala moves up to her current position and goes total defense; her AC is now 17 until her next turn.

Ajala's Round 5

"Ahhhh, now you come within my reach," Ajala says, something that might be a smile creeping across her features as the two remaining pugwampis leap down and rush at Adroushan.

She brings her arm around in a vicious blow...

Attack vs. Purple (Slam; Power Attack): 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 1 = 7
Attack vs. Purple (Slam; Power Attack): 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 1 = 21

Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9

But misses by a large margin.

"Hum...you are more nimble than I had thought."

Following Mahk's lead and rolling the d20s twice; hopefully that isn't stepping on your toes too much DM!

Ajala's Round 4

"If only I could shake the ground...they would fall like stones," Ajala laments as she continues trying to distract and draw the pugwampis' fire, even as one of the arrows chips her a small bit.

Ajala continues with Total Defense. Current AC: 17. I normally adjust character HPs on the trackers underneath their names; Reja and Ajala's current HPs have been adjusted for the damage they took last round.

Ajala's Round 3

"Curious..." Ajala muses, seeming largely unconcerned by the arrows whizzing by and grazing her form. "Is that meant to elicit a response? Let us see..."

Though she maintains her defensive position Ajala begins making the same rude gesture back at the pugwampis, almost like a child trying out a new word or activity.

Maintain total defense, hehe.

Ajala's Round 2

Taking note of how the pugwampis all targeted Mahk with their arrows, Ajala lumbers forward and adopts a defensive position once more in an attempt to try and redirect some of their ire to herself.

Ajala moves forward 40 feet and goes total defense once more; +4 to her AC until her next turn. Also I moved Alayi on the map to give her a similar starting position as Adroushan.

Ajala's Round 1

Ajala gazes up at the pugwampis with some curiosity as she adopts a defensive posture. "Are these the little gremlins you were telling me about? We will see how much they laugh once I get them within my reach..."

Ajala will go total defense for the moment, giving her a +4 to her AC.

Ajala brings up the rear, unblinking eyes impassively scanning the area for signs of danger. Though she knew such places made humans like Reja nervous, she was in her element - the cool, dusty stone almost humming to her in a language only they knew.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

The onyx being turns and looks at Josria; if there had been any surprise on her part by being greeted by a cat-person it was impossible to tell. "I am Ajala...the Immovable," she responds. "Or at least I will try to be if Reja or any of her friends find themselves in danger."

"The ruins seem old...very old," Ajala suddenly speaks up. One of the quieter of Reja's beloved eidolons, Ajala could quietly easily be mistaken for a simple onyx statue when standing completely still. "These places sometimes hold power just as old. We should be cautious."

Ajala doesn't actually know anything specific about this place; just trying to give her a little personality!
