Agni howls in pain as the flames wash over him, but the anguish is replaced by a smile of ecstasy moments later. ”Heat gives me life, I welcome her pain!”

Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Agni's eyes light up at the flaming skeletons. "You shall make perfect sacrifices to the Queen of the Inferno. May you return to her fires with haste." Agni dashes forward and swings his torch in an upward arc, aiming for the center of the nearest skeleton's ribcage in an attempt to blast it apart.

Torch Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Torch Damage (Bludgeoning): 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

I'm assuming they're immune or resistant to fire damage, and didn't include the fire damage from the torch attack.

Agni opens the door on the third floor and proceeds through.

"We shall." Agni nods to Relgar and begins ascending the stairs.

"Surely more powerful foes yet await deeper, our combined strengths will be required to overcome this fortress."

Agni doubles back into the last room and tries the door to the central staircase. Perhaps the rubble didn't reach this floor?

Agni shouts as the lightning courses through him, reeling back in a combination of pain and anger. "Blasted lizard! Agni will relish reducing you to ash!"

Agni proceeds through the remaining door.

Survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Whatever was of note, it is lost on Agni. He instead inspects the room to see what it contains.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

"Next room."

Agni nods at Relgar and advances through the door to the next chamber.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Agni spots Heroki approaching and turns, offering the nagaji a chance to look over the "loot." "I'm afraid little, if anything of value is here. You're welcome to inspect however, your eyes may see what mine did not."

When everyone finishes in this room, Agni will make his way to Area 4, bracing himself for the dangers that await before pushing through the door.

Appraise: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

With the threat thoroughly dealt with, Agni takes a moment to search the racks full of armor and weapons in search of anything of value.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Agni darts across the room and maneuvers behind the dazed troglodyte. With a smile and a flourish he swings his torch down at the troglodyte’s ankle in an attempt to knock over the creature.

Torch Trip Attack vs CMD: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

If it succeeds, Agni kneels beside the troglodyte and closes his eyes, praying aloud. ”My Queen of the Inferno, feast your fires upon this sacrifice.”

Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
There's that nat 20! Any useful information Agni may know?

"Be careful friends, these are troglodytes," Agni remarks with a sense of calm. He clearly wasn't feeling too threatened. "They're feral cave dwellers known for raiding settlements, but soon they shall be nothing but corpses."

When the second (blue) troglodyte swings at Agni, he deflects the blow with his shield and returns fire with an attack of his own.

Agni wasn't one for the nightlife—he was ugly as a goblin with the personality to match—but even he was familiar with Jezebel Gemblade. He had seen her advertised via flyers and her reputation was well known, but Agni had only ever seen her perform from outside the barrier of a tavern window. It was a level of professionalism that kept him from fawning over her pseudo-celebrity status while on an official Pathfinder outing.

Joining the others in their efforts to advance forward, Agni chuckles at the banter between Relgar and Heroki as he makes his way to the southwestern door and attempts to push deeper. Should that door be locked or otherwise stuck, he'll make his way to the northwestern door and try that passage instead.

Edit: The first time I tried to post it rolled a nat 20. Lame!

Agni looks up at the woman with a crooked smile as he grabs the offered rope, remarking "Where there is smoke, fire must follow." Agni plants his foot firmly against the wall...

Climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16

...and begins scaling the wall of the ruined fortress, climbing his way to the second story and joining Jezebel.

Would the Climb DC of the outside walls be that of a "very rough wall"?

Agni returns the gnome's grin. "My favorite method of picking locks." With a grunt he kicks the door, digging his heel down and driving his body forward. Then he kicks again, and once more.

"It seems as though someone is trying to keep us out. Does anyone here know how to pick a lock?"

”This eastern door will take us to the tower’s central staircase yes?” Agni moves to the door and kicks it open. While preparing to move deeper in the castle, he thinks to himself that Kita isn’t a particularly common name for a dog, and tries to remember if he’s heard it lately.

With a shrug he moves on and advances through the door.

"I'll try to save the next one for you, gnome friend," Agni says to Relgar with a wink. He assists in helping with the search...

...before continuing through the only available doorway.

Agni spins on his heel as he moves into position, swinging his torch in a wide overhead arc and bringing it down on the spider's head with a *CRUNCH!*

With the spider thoroughly splattered, Agni takes a deep breath to savor the smell of burning flesh. "It's intoxicating isn't it?"

As Relgar moves to advance forward, Agni places a hand on his shoulder. ”My friend, one cannot say what dangers lie in wait. Allow Agni to light the way.” Provided there is no protest from Relgar, Agni will take point and advance through the northern doorway.

”That was hardly a warmup,” Agni says with a sigh of annoyance. With his torch held aloft he begins advancing towards the tower, keeping his eyes peeled for any signs of danger. ”Mayhap the belly of this ruin will hold greater challenge.”

Agni's eyes scan the dog before him with analytical precision (Studied Target), waiting for the best moment to attack.

"There!"

He swings his torch down at the hound, aiming to end it with a single well-placed blow.

Move action study, standard action attack yellow.

These dogs only have 1 HP? This is going to be a slaughter! Although I’m technically able to act again, I’ll wait for others to go first.

As above, entering Shikigami Style as a swift action.

”Be warned little doggies,” With a flourish Agni dances forward, painting the air behind himself with a twisting trail of embers. ”The fires of Agni consume all in their path. Begone! GO!” Agni shouts at the hounds in an attempt to frighten them away, but readies his torch to attack should one approach.

Moving forward four spaces and readying an attack if a dog comes in range. I can’t get the link to open in my Google Docs app for some reason, trying to figure it out. Something tells me a Natural 1 won’t hit though!

Agni spent much of their trip through the Cairnlands alternating between talking to himself, and talking to whoever would listen to him explain why something or someone needed to be “cleansed by fire” or “returned to ash.” When they finally arrived at the tower he seemed exhausted, but it was hard to tell if from walking or rambling.

”This tower strikes an imposing figure,” he says breathily, ”but Agni did not come so far to be dissuaded by a crumbling fortress.” As if in defiance of the structure, Agni withdraws the torch from his waist along with a flint-and-steel from his pocket and lights the torch in a singular smooth motion. He smiles as the warmth and light washes over him and says, ”Ymeri’s fire will guide and protect us. Should hers fail, mine will not.” As he stares into the dancing flames of his torch, he slowly draws the shield from his back and slides his feet apart, shifting into a wide combat stance. Entering Shikigami Style.

”Agni is ready.”

Agni watches the new arrival with fascination and curiosity, his eyes fixated on the patterns that paint Mbende's skin as he speaks. So engrossed in the halfling is he that he doesn't notice the pig until it brushes over his foot.

"Calistria's garters!" he exclaims, hopping back and moving a hand to his waist in preparation to attack. His wide eyes soften when he sees that the source of "danger" was nothing but a fuzzy pig, and after a moment he says with a chuckle, "We nearly had bacon for dinner!" Falling back into a relaxed posture, Agni extends a welcoming hand to Mbende and introduces himself.

Agni snorts at the Nagaji's introduction. "I prefer 'fire enthusiast,' new friend."

Agni smiles a toothy, yellow grin at Relgar. "I've been the cause of more than a few fires myself." He peels back the folds of his robe to reveal a torch holstered where a sword would normally lie. His ensemble is completed by rows of overlapping scale armor that cover his body and a heavy shield resting on his back. "A gnome adventuring without armor who has an affinity for flames, you are a wizard? Or Sorcerer perhaps? Magic arts are beyond my means, I spread my lady's flames through more mundane means." Agni gives a small bow. "It is an honor and a pleasure Relgar."

With that Agni settles in to await the rest of their company.

Any observant eyes will notice the wrinkled, scowling face of a man in his late 40’s peeping through the window and scanning the faces inside. He’s motionless for several long moments as he watches the inhabitants scurry about, and when the crowd inside hits a short lull, he slides over to the door and pushes his way inside. A tall, tanned, rough-looking man of Osiriani heritage, Agni nods at patrons as he brushes past them and makes his way to one of the barmaids. He briefly exchanges words with her, discovers he isn’t the first of his party to arrive, and gives her a nod before joining those he will soon be calling his allies.

”Greetings, my name is Agni.” His voice is raspy, and thick with accent. ”I pray you have not waited overly long.” The hand he offers to the gnome is wrapped in thick bandages and covered in burns, a trait that’s matched by the rest of his attire. ”You will be going to this ‘Fallen Fortress’ with us, yes?”

From across the lodge, a gravely voiced Osirian raises a bandaged hand. "I am Agni, the Queen of the Inferno guides my hand." He gestures to his side with a smile, a torch holstered where a sword normally lies. "Though I spread her fires through more base means."

"All is to Ash, Acolyte Agni. May your path blaze with Her hunger!"

"Her flames will be fed with our victories. Burn bright, sister Nemesis."

Old Decker was designed with urban intrigue and mystery solving in mind, Agni will come to conquer this ruin.
