Very nearly complete--GM, I envision Adrionos utilizing a dash of magic for sharpening his senses, dulling himself to pain, etc using the energy of black powder, very much inspiring by the Powder Mage books from Brian McClellan. It's also the main driver of his Stupor indulgence. Is that something that would fit in your Ilrien?
