Acoris is so pleased to be included that she forgets to pay much attention as the group begins to divide up tasks. "Oh!" She exclaims, finally. "I will gladly help Miss Izabeya with her thatched roof. I stitched up clothes for the gnomes before, I can't imagine patching holes in this will be much different."
@Acoris, I notice you've got the skill Craft (wonderous item). If you want a crafting skill, I'll need you to pick an actual item, like craft (clothing), craft (jewelry), or craft (scabbards). Regarding making magical wonderous items, the craft skill only contributes to making the physical item, not its magical properties. Magical properties are done by means of Spellcraft. So for instance if you wanted to make a cloak of resistance, you'd start by either crafting (using craft (clothing)) or buying a cloak. Then you'd begin the wonderous item crafting, which would be spellcraft. Does that make sense? I wanted to move this over to Discussion for a bit more clarity, mostly because I find the PF crafting rules fall somewhere between brittle and incomplete. This makes sense in and of itself but I feel like there are a lot of wondrous items (including ones I've made) where it becomes increasingly unclear what the actual Craft subskill should be. So far I've made a Belt of Incredible Dexterity and Cloak of Resistance, which both fit securely under Craft (Clothing), and I've made a Tuned Bowstring and Efficient Quiver, which I guess are maybe both Craft (Bows)? But then I've also made a Doomharp and I have no idea what that would be. Happy to adjust my skill with a bit more input, though!
It's definitely a great dynamic! Kemras has shit to do.
Acoris perks up at the possibility of getting on the good side of more of the locals, and thus maybe getting them to open up more with their stories. "What kind of things do they need help with? We are a very talented bunch. Cleo has killed creatures I've never even heard of before!"
Acoris has the hardest time mingling in the bar. A few people treat her kindly and talk from time to time, but it proves difficult. One of the common stereotypes that she has to endure is the hesitancy for humans to give their name. There's a common belief that telling a Fey creature one's name allows the Fey to have control over them (which is mostly false). Acoris's mood the night before had been soured. The patrons weren't nearly enough fun and she wasn't even in the right mood to be able to tease them about their superstitions. The fear of her power only brought back to mind the idea that she could be losing hers. Rising in the morning after a fitful night's sleep, she joins the others. "It's an interesting cultural difference." She begins with a tired yawn, gazing out at the wind and rain. "For my people, storms like this are a gift, a good omen. Plants will grow, forest fires will be extinguished. The world will rebirth itself once more." She pauses, turning to the others with a sheepish grin, "That said, it will be cold and I also would prefer not to travel in it."
I was gonna say I could make you a minor Bag of Holding, but the spell level required is pretty absurd given the cost of the item.
Although she seems distracted during the remainder of the walk, Acoris still pays enough attention as the others get settled in to have an idea of what's happening. "I will happily stand watch as well." Acoris offers, absently, sounding far from happy. "Whenever you all prefer." Clearly troubled, she moves off slightly from the others to one of the empty mats, and seems to sulk, the usual lightness of her voice and aura feeling diminished. "I don't understand," she thinks. "I am having an adventure, why then are my powers failing me?" From her bag, she pulls a small mirror, once a source of great amusement, and begins studying her leaves in its reflection, terrified that some are withering or going white. It doesn't appear that any are, but that does little to put her at ease.
Acoris watches Cleo with some fascination and admiration, as the halfling disregards her own potential safety to assist the woman. Acoris, ever suspicious of wounds without visible injury, from her time with the Fey, looks at the woman curiously, thinking that it could be some kind of hex or curse. She fears momentarily that one of her more... capricious sisters may be nearby. But certainly she'd have heard if that was the case. Still.
"Mrs. Helens, were you doing anything strange before the onset of pain?"
Acoris reads the letter in silence, her brow furrowed. Something about it unsettles her, but she doesn't offer further information. When asked about the fort, she shakes her head. "No, I never had reason to go there, and it's further than I've traveled in a long time."
Stepping outside with Cleo, Acoris shakes her head. "I fear that what he wishes is wrong. Someone with such a talent for manipulation and sweeping diabolical plans would not likely drown in a shipwreck. It may have been part of her plan, though." "I have known Fey like her, agents of chaos. Beings that seek only to amuse themselves. I fear that she has been toying with you, is toying with us even now." "What more can you tell me of her sister? Was she the same?"
Acoris forces herself to be quiet and listen to Cleo and Kemras's exchange, not wanting to jeopardize the extended offer for her to accompany them. With Kemras talking about the tattoo mystery and Cleo discussing runewells and murder cults, her eyes widen in excitement. Even the rarely speaking Furnok mentioned undead and ogres. "'Too many' monsters indeed," She mutters to herself, echoing Cleo's comment from earlier, amazed (and jealous) at just how much the halfling had brushed off. "Perhaps we should ask around about the man with the tattoo?" She finally offers. "The priest was able to discern things about us, perhaps he could of that man as well?"

Thank you TreasureFox! Also, Kemras: I don't feel like you're hogging the spotlight at all! I've been really enjoying reading your posts. And I think w/ new characters there's also a need to get a lot in early to help "Establish" them for everyone.
Echoing what Cleo said. I'm not bothered by it, (though do agree it feels a bit dissonant), but I also agree that we should change it for Kemras.
Acoris shakes her head, but remembering her promise to the gnomes about privacy, tries to keep her answer somewhat vague. "Oh, I'm not, but I've been coming to town more and more, trying to learn what I can of the world outside. I mean no disrespect to Turtleback, it is a lovely place! There are many friendly travelers such as yourselves to feed me stories. But I find more and more that I long for an adventure of my own." "For a time, I lived among the gnomes." She continues after a brief pause. "I don't know if you know many, but they have a biological need to be amazed. Without it, they shrivel up and go pale and can even die! Turtleback has many people who are not gnomes and stay in this town, and make it their own, and are perfectly happy to talk with those who come through, to hear their stories, as I have." She frowns, considering. "I think that all the sentient beings that I have met fit into those two categories: Those who seek out wonder and excitement for themselves, and those who are content to hear it from others, and only dream of it for themselves. And for too many years I have been the second kind of being."
Acoris smiles between each of the party members, pleased to see a fairly diverse group.
If Acoris is offended by Wabbit's invasive question (or the rib about her bones being weak), she it doesn't show. "You know, I don't know!" She replies, excitedly. "Perhaps my bones are hollow, like a birds. Or maybe magic helps... They are limited in power, though. If I were to fly too high up, the wind could strike me down. It's less of a problem in the Fey world..." "Cleo says you've all come to help the Rangers. Have you faced many monsters before?"
Acoris lets out a lilting laugh. "You needn't fear me. My only enemies are those would exploit and unnecessarily damage the natural beauty of the world. For you to have spared one of the miraculous creatures of this world makes me think that we are more alike than I'd have guessed... Even though you are, erm, utterly without leaves." She says the last part barely above a whisper, as though it's something that Cleo would be ashamed of. Still, not wanting them to rush off before she's gotten more answers, she begrudgingly stops flying around so rapidly. "I have heard of some of these worries. They say there are unnatural beings near. Spirits and undead horrors and monstrous werewolves. I haven't seen such things yet, myself, but I think that I would like to." She pauses, considering the question. "I am here mostly because I was growing bored. Or at least restless. There is a lot of this world to see, and a lot of it that is worth trying to preserve. Parts of this land remind me of home, but it is alive in a different way. Less magical than home, perhaps, but that in itself is a kind of magic. Life is a wonderful thing, don't you think?" "I should say I am pleased to meet you both, Aggah and Cleo. My name is Acoris."

Acoris flitters among the new travelers, examining their wares as they offload things from the boat (but making no effort herself to assist). More than once she's told to scram as she tries to open various crates. Looking almost like a small elf, but seemingly created of wood and vine rather than flesh and bone, the winged creature continues to move around the ship and docks, endlessly asking people questions until they shoo her away. Then she spots Aggah and beelines towards him. "Well, hello my little green friend! I haven't seen a creature such as you before." she quickly flies in a circle around him, examining from every angle, noting with interest his sharp teeth. "Oooh, a carnivore." She looks at the halfling next to him, and notes both how similar and how different the two species are. "In the wild, one of you would eat the other. But in a place like this, you can come together as companions and dare I say friends. This thing you've all created, this concept, this..." she searches for the word... "civilization is a truly wondrous thing. Tell me, how did you meet? Where have you come from? What brings you here? Did you bring items to trade?" Running out of breath, she looks wide-eyed at the two.
I don't mind the overlap, but given how good Kemkras is at it, it's probably worth looking into other options. :P I think I had a +18 to your +20 which is comparable, but yeah, not worth investing nearly so much, haha. Just so you're aware, Gathlain, I will be asking for fly checks. Of course! I imagine hovering most of the time so that I can look people in the eyes, but I doubt I'll do anything outlandish with it. Like Watto but not, you know, a terrible caricature.
Oh cool, yeah that sounds good! Ng is a really interesting choice. (I also edited my skills to scale back trapfinding since that's going to be your thing!)
