Info-terrorist Rhett-7b apprehended on Akiton.

After a nineteen-month manhunt spanning the Pact Worlds, the notorious android info-terrorist Rhett-7b was tracked down and apprehended this morning in a dynamic multi-national operation. The fugitive has been on the lam since evidence of its leading the AbadarCorp data breach in 315 AG was uncovered. It was found hiding in Hivemarket on Akiton, using an assumed name and pretending to be a scrap merchant.

Rhett-7b is wanted for several counts of hacking and information theft, as well as aiding and abetting Android Abolitionist Front attacks. He is also rumored to have had a hand in the Scoured Stars disaster. Its lawyer released a statement shortly after the capture was announced, claiming that Rhett-7b is innocent of all charges, and his client is the victim of a gross conspiracy from the Path World governments and the Stewards.

Absalom Buzzblades heavily favored to win Champions Cup this weekend.

This weekend marks the 44th Brutaris Champions Cup, to be played by perennial rivals: the Absalom Buzzblades and the Diaspora Demons. The game is to be played on Seventhday at the Hamisfore Theatorium, with blastoff at 1855 Pact Standard Time. The home team is strongly favored, with King Kurney's Casbah placing odds at 2.5 to 1 for the Buzzblades to win.

We spoke with Buzzblades captain, Zidhil Quorin, today, who had this to say about preparing for the big game: 'We feel very confident in our team. We have a lot of young players, but there's still a couple old vets like me to keep 'em in line. Anything can happen in the arena. We know the Demons are pros and will be just as prepared as we are. But, of course, Yaz... she's our X-factor.'

'Yaz' is referring to the massive Number 13, Yazeloya Golkami, the Buzzblade's star Vesk lock back. She is know as 'The Demoralizer'.

Terrorist attack on Armada freighter claimed by Android Abolitionist Front.

A heavy freighter on the outskirts of the Armada exploded suddenly earlier today. The ship has been identified as property of the Jassu Express freight company. The vessel was completely destroyed and number of casualties are still unknown.

Speculation as the cause of of the explosion ended when the Android Abolitionist Front or AAF claimed responsibility with a system-wide broadcast. 'The Jassu company is a ill-disguised front of the Aspis Consortium and responsible for the trafficking of enslaved androids and other unfortunates. Part of that vile network ended today. The AAF will not tolerate slavery among the Pact Worlds.'

Both Jassu Express and Aspis Consortium representatives refused to provide comment at this time.

Highly-anticipated movie premier makes history.

The Wrath of Karzoug, the third and final movie of the popular Rise of the Runelords franchise, broke attendance records at its premier showing last night. The movie was shown in full 3-D holo-vision, officially from the Hamisfore Theatorium but streamed to a large number of linked venues across the Pact Worlds. Theatorium owner, Jebodah Hamisfore, triumphantly declared that total attendance was over 1.1 million.

Starring the veteran actor Kayle Li as the villan Runelord Karzoug, the movie series is a fanciful retelling of a popular pre-Gap story from lost Golarion. The series follows the rise and eventual fall of the powerful wizard. Critics dismiss the series as candy-coated tripe, pointing out several inconsistencies from accepted lore. Other, more hardline opponents, say the movies disrespect the long dead and forgotten.

Tensions on Aballon as previously unknown biome is discovered.

Anacite excavations in the Aballon region west of the Striving megaplex have uncovered an enclosed biome that was hidden nearly a mile below the planet's surface. The biome is reported to include unique several species of flora and an isolated colony of khizars.

A group of Xenowardens has moved in to block further excavation and protect the biome and its inhabitants. A Xenowarden delegation maintains an arkship and outpost at the nearby Frozen Nelumbo ice well, presumably to dissuade the anacites from destroying the limited pockets of organic life remaining on Aballon.

Anacite representative Tier-7-Diplomat explained to the Pact council that excavation in the region has ceased until the situation is investigated, but made it clear that lawlessness or hostilities from Xenowardens would be countered with extreme prejudice.

Would-be assassin sentenced to five times life imprisonment.

Jacc Postone, gun-for-hire and former merchant marine, was sentenced by a grand jury this afternoon for his failed attempt on the life of Prime Executive Kumara Melacruz. 'Prime Executive Melacruz is pleased with the jury's decision and sentence, applauding it as a victory for justice over tyranny and terror,' her spokeswoman said after the hearing.

Five months ago, Postone attempted to gun down Executive Melacruz and her entourage as they exited their caravan at the Plenara. Postone's plot was foiled by forewarned Stewards, who surrounded and incapacitated the assassin before he could open fire. Steward representatives refused to identify their information source in the case, as doing so would compromise operational security and endanger their officers.

Postone has plead ignorance of his employer, saying they only contacted him through anonymous channels. Speculation still carries on who is behind the assassination attempt: corporations fearing her policies, the Six Tip Gang angry over the arrest of its leader, or the nativist Strong Absalom movement.

Former Defense Minister claims the Unseen threat is real.

A 25-year veteran of the Stewards and former minister of the Pact Worlds' Ministry of Defense -- who requested to remain anonymous due to fears for their life -- declared that the mysterious faction of aliens, sometimes referred to as 'the Unseen', are a real and grave threat to Absalom Station and our Pact allies. The former minister spoke of the Acreon -- which arrived out of Drift Space a couple weeks ago with its crew completely missing -- as a clear example of the Unseen's handiwork. They also claimed that many in the government are aware of these aliens and their predations, but refuse to acknowledge them or take any actions to defend our citizens.

Many doubt the claims regarding these unseen aggressors, dismissing the stories of abductions and strange experiments as silly urban legends at best, and ravings of lonely closet conspiracy theorists at worst. Both the Stewards and the Ministry of Defense declined to comment on this story.

Death and chaos in the Arms. A dwarf and 3 humans were killed while twelve others were wounded in a shootout at Dock 94 this morning. Witnesses say members of two street gangs -- the Downside Kings and Level 21 Crew -- erupted into gunfire at the dock shortly after a shuttle arrived. Many innocent bystanders were caught in the crossfire, accounting for the numerous wounded and the death of this dwarf, Duravar Kreel, an agent of the Starfinder Society. Station security arrived on the scene minutes later and ended the confrontation, killing 3 of the gang members. None of either gang were detained for questioning. Reasons for the sudden outbreak of violence are unclear, but some suspect it was a targeted assassination of the Starfinder, Kreel. If so, it is another setback for the beleaguered Society, after the disastrous... <<bzzzt>>
