6SYL watches down the corridor and waits a moment, before deciding that he has truly retreated - rather than simply gone for reinforcements. "We need to be moving also.", "Mr Switch, I believe my companions fulfilled their end of your hurried bargain - perhaps you should do your part and 'make it worth their while', we would like our business concluded with haste."

6SYL takes a shot at the Nikto with her stun pistol, hoping her programming isn't too stressed by taking nonlethal action, while performing calculations and offering "helpful" advice to Avizzi Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 stun dmg: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) = 7 Aid Another: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 NVM

6SYL moves out of the line of fire, behind Kalus, drawing her stunner, while offering advice
Move - Move to cover with Kalus, can we move through allies, or do I need to zig-zag around?

My face to face group are... old guard (I'm the baby of the group, a good decade+ younger than everyone else) so we tend to play older systems, Call of Cthulhu and AD&D2E are the mainstays. Personally I prefer systems with a bit more tinkering, but maybe I'm getting old because I no longer find Pathfinder style character optimisation fun, though my OCD still makes me scour books to find "just the right option". trying to let go a bit more and just enjoy games. We stopped at 2 children (always the plan - though it's probably a bit far to say we planned our kids).

This woman is unconscious, Does anyone have any medical supplies? 6SYL will run a preliminary check on the extent of her wounds, though she hadn't anticipated needing to actually work on anyone she had been programmed with basic first-aid procedures.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 Ah, I was flicking through looking for a table, hadn't thought of them just using a formula This things not supposed to hurt people, so I should be okay

P162 Core - "only creatures can be stunned. Droids, vehicles and objects are immune to stunning effects" Realising that they're firing stun weapons and don't know she's a droid, 6SYL tries to react to the glancing blow as if it affected her, arching her back and flinching.
She then tries carry the stunned woman further around the stalls, try and put something between them and the troopers.

6SYL doesn't want to start a fight, and isn't even sure she can override her core commands to do so... still she has to do something.

A hooded figure moves along the promenade, thick robes concealing most of her features, though the light occasionally glints off a metallic surface under her hood. She moves slowly, trying to avoid contact with others as much as possible. She glances at the droid workshop, contemplating looking for further upgrades, but a droid alone... she could easily be 'bolted, wiped and sold if the owner was untrustworthy. No, try the Cantina first, see if she can find allies first - there have been rumours about some sort of rebellion... Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
I am aware of the Engineer talent, it just seems like a bit of a shoehorn (and I don't think it appeared until after the Tech Specialist feat had been around a while - since that first appeared in the Web Enhancement which came out very shortly after the core book, iirc. I'm not sure on taking Mechanics as a bonus skill anyway, though it would be useful for emergency self-repairs. I think I will follow the trend and keep my bonus skill for when the party is picked (though in reality I'm happy to change a lot of elements to fit the party better, if required).
I don't believe there's any books on droids, most of the books seem to offer an extra droid in each type. Personally, even if wanting an established droid type, I prefer to build them from scratch using the droids in the core book. Otherwise you invariably need to mess about with xp deficit and nonheroic class levels. Also I created an profile, because I'm impatient. Though I couldn't find a paizo Avatar that looked remotely how I wanted (but I did create a robot Twi-Lek, so my expectations were slim...) Kalus - I never knew that book existed, have to see if I can somehow scrounge up a copy. |
