Ok, So Russel, Kalus and Six are going to the docking bay. Where are the others going to head to/ hide out?
Russel and Kalus head out into the busy open space with 6Syl in tow. The trio does get some funny looks by passersby that happen to notice it's a droid wearing a cloak, but no one tries to stop you as you follow the signs overhead towards the main dock.
Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Quickly turning his face from the man to look at a shop window, Kalus quietly says, "The informant who ran from our event on the Promenade is here. If he spots us, we're gonna have a hard time getting the cargo. Six, lose the cloak. Don't look, either of you."
Quickly flipping his coat around, Kalus creates a disguise that will hopefully cause the man to not notice them with a passing glance, knowing that it can be easily seen through.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Russel Wilcox
Russel turns his face away slowly and proceeds to walk, casual like, down the promenade towards their destination. He will reach up though and pull his hair from the tie that holds it up, as the hair cascades down the side of his face, his appearance should change just enough to throw off someone who is looking for a mop of hair up versus down.
Taril Sha
Taril points towards a small alcove, "That seems likely."
She then saunters over and leans against the wall at the entrance to the alcove, watching the people walk past.
Crossing her arms, she settles in to wait...
GM Kip
Taril Sha points out a short hall between two shops that ends in an unmarked silver door. She saunters over there to wait, with Avizzi and Virssl.
Continuing on their way through the throng of mostly well dressed humans, Russel, Kalus, and six try to change up their appearance a little and continue to head towards the dock. The people they pass continue to sneer or frown at 6Syl. A kid tugs on his mothers arm, " Mom, look at that weird droid mom. Why does it have tails like that? "
The Informant guy continues on his way heading into a cantina without noticing the group.
Kalus, Russel and six make their way to the other end of the Blue deck without much hassle. As they approach the docking bays they spot a Stormtrooper posted at the entrance to the main docking bay.
The Trooper holds out a hand as some other merchant approaches, after a short conversation the merchant turns and storms away looking rather affronted.
Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
Kalus pockets the cred stick.
Pausing while the merchant has his conversation with the stormtrooper, thinking as he storms away, That doesn't look good...
Stepping up to the stormtrooper, he says, "Good day, trooper. I've come to pick up a cargo. Would my associate, my droid and I be able to pass so we can pick it up?"
GM Kip
The Stormtrooper looks Kalus up and down and glances at Six and Russel.
" I'm sorry... Sir, the main dock is off limits to civilians at this time. " the trooper replies in his metalic voice.
Through the door you can see 5 stormtroopers opening crates and inspecting the goods inside. An officer moves between them around the large hanger. A trooper on an armoured repulsor sled suddenly comes through another door into the main hanger towing some more crates in. Several of the crates are long enough to house a man.
Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
Sithspit, they're looking for something. And I'll bet it just happens to be what we're looking for...
"Well, if we can't get by now, I guess we'll have to wait. I do hope this won't take long. We'll be back later."
Motioning to Russel and Six, Kalus moves out of the trooper's earshot, pulls out his comlink and says, "Group 1 to group 2, come in."
Russel Wilcox
Russel shrugs and follows behind Kalus. He whispers to him as they pass far enough away, "Maybe there is another way in there?"
Taril Sha
Growing bored watching people walking the promenade, Taril looks a the silver door, and wonders aloud "I wonder where this goes..."
If there is no locking mechanism she will open it.
If there is a locking panel , she attempts to figure out the passkey...
Use Computer: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Either way, when the call form Kalus come over her comm, she responds casually , "Hey there, pick up the cargo yet?"
Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
"Yeah, looks like the Empire is sweeping the cargo hold and keeping civilians out. We might be delayed in getting out of here. Let's meet up."
Trying to keep the alarm out of his voice so that anyone overhearing wouldn't think he was concerned, Kalus knew they needed to plan. They could not allow the Empire to get the cargo.
GM Kip
Growing bored Taril Sha inspects the door to see if she can open it. She finds a slot for a code cylinder and a small removable maintenance access panel in the wall next to the "lock". There's no screen or manual buttons.
Bypassing locks and such is usually a trained only mechanics check and requires a security kit. I would allow computer use to reprogram a lock to accept a different code cylinder etc but that would require hooking a datapad up to the lock and "slicing" it's system using the improve access section of the use computer skill (which is trained only as well)
Avizzi the Strange
"What are you doing?" Avizzi turns to Taril and glances at the lock. "Is there a reason you want in there?" If Taril Sha gives him any half-decent reason, the Togruta sighs and looks around before pulling his tools from their place in his pockets.
Mechanics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Ahh, crap.
GM Kip
Kalus, 6Syl and Russel head back through Blue deck to meet up with the rest of the gang, following directions to the hallway that the group is currently loitering in.
I'm waiting for Taril's response to Avizzi before resolving his mechanics roll.
Taril Sha
"What are you doing?" Avizzi turns to Taril and glances at the lock. "Is there a reason you want in there?" If Taril Sha gives him any half-decent reason, the Togruta sighs and looks around before pulling his tools from their place in his pockets.
[dice=Mechanics]1d20+7
Ahh, crap.
Taril looks back a the Togruta and shrugs, "No reason, just bored." she smiles brilliantly, "But, this looks like it might get us behind all of these shops. Might be more indirect way to get to the storage."
GM Kip
Avizzi kneels down next to the access panel and removes it as Kalus, Russel and Six round the corner into the hall. He starts probing the wires to work out which he'll need to cross to open the door, then cuts a couple and crosses them, looking expectantly at the door. The small commlink from his toolkit chirps. A silent alarm had been triggered and the door remained locked.
Avizzi the Strange
1 person marked this as a favorite.
"Ah. Hmm. Time to leave." With that, the Togruta begins to walk away, hoping to remain as inconspicuous as a red-skinned humanoid with head tails and white markings can.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
Sighing, Kalus follows suit. "If we can't find another one, we may need to fight our way past the door guard."
Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Taril Sha
Taril looks from the lock to Avizzi's retreating back, "Uh...what....Oh." she mutters before hurrying to make as much space between her and the door as possible.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
GM Kip
wow! Nice stealth rolls.
Virrsl Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Dice roller has gone nuts !!
The group exits the short hallway trying to look inconspicuous and blend into the crowd, a feat almost impossible on this human centric deck. Three stormtroopers across the way turn and start heading towards your area as if having just received orders over their comms.
" There Sir! " one says pointing out Avizzi, " And they're with him! " pointing at Kalus and Russel.
" I see them! Stop right there! Hands in the air! "

Kalus "The Red Hawk" Arrhun
Aw, man. I was proud of that Stealth roll. Oh, well. At least I go before they do.
Hoping the stormtroopers will avoid firing indiscriminately, Kalus dives behind a merchant's counter, drawing his blaster and saying, "Might I suggest you hide in your store room for a while?"
GM Kip
Looks like another batch to 6Syl, though you only know that because they're coming from a different direction than the docking bay. It looked like they were on a regular patrol and got the comm call about the silent alarm Avizzi triggered.
Taril Sha
"Oh no, not again..." Taril mutters just before she dives into cover.
Very away of the pain that still tightens her shoulder, Taril very much wants to avoid getting shot by these troopers.
Russel Wilcox
Russel tries to step into the crowd on the promenade hoping that will dissuade the troopers from shooting and draw his holdout blaster.
Holding his action to see what transpires.

Stormtrooper vs Taril Sha: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

1d2 ⇒ 2
Vs Russel: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
3d8 ⇒ (5, 8, 1) = 14
Russel steps into the crowd drawing a hold out blaster, hoping to dissuade the troops from firing his way.
Drawing a weapon is a move action, so your unable to delay.
Virssl continues to stay hidden using his short stature to his advantage
Held Action
Avizzi, 6 and Kalus take cover behind a counter outside a restaurant, Kalus telling the Maître D' to hide in the store room.
" Everybody down! " One of the troopers yells as they move forward through the crowd. Coming close enough for stun blasts.
They start firing, blue rings fly past Taril and Avizzi, the last trooper to fire takes a bead on Russel as obedient citizens start to duck and the blue rings hit Russel in the shoulder.
Russel takes 7 damage, and goes two steps down the condition track from the stun blast. (-2 to all defences, Attacks and skills.)
Taril ducks behind a repulsor sled to take cover.
Any other action? draw a weapon?

Taril hunkers down behind the sled as the stun fields fly past. Reluctantly she draws her blaster, but stays down for now, only shout out to the troopers, "Shooting at civilians is a court martial offense in this sector!"
Revolutionary Rhetoric: Persuasion vs Will, target loses standard action, suddenly unsure of himself: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
GM Kip
@6Syl Actually I think I was still waiting for your round 1 action?, but 10 is actually a hit on the stormtroopers Will Defense, believe it or not. So you may want to do something else. Instead of aiding Taril
1d4 ⇒ 4
Taril Sha hunkers down behind the repulsor sled and yells out at the stormtroopers. One of the troopers lowers his rifle to point at the floor. Seeming to consider her words.
Meanwhile Virssl pops out from behind a civilian in the thinning crowd behind the troopers and shoots one in the back with a stun blast the energy rings wash over the man and he stumbles a little.
Kalus's commlink starts to chime with an incoming call alert.

Two of the Stormtroopers go down under Avizzi and Kalus's fire. Russel's blaster bolts sail over the other troopers head as he dives to the floor.
Maya's voice comes over Kalus's Comm. " I made it back to my ship, sounds like you found trouble. Can you reach the cargo? "
The remaining Trooper looks stunned, his rifle still aimed at the floor. Then he turns and races away. " Back up! I need back up on Blue deck! " he shouts into his helmet comm.

The stormtrooper moves through the rapidly thinning crowd. Two more exit from the Blue deck dock running towards your group. Two more sets of booted feet can be heard coming down the main corridor of the deck but are out of sight, around a bend.
The fleeing Stormtrooper is '12 squares' from the groups position.
The two coming from the the docks are 40 squares away and have cover

Bit of a cinematic scene to change the location of the fight a little...
You pursue the fleeing stormtrooper across Blue deck towards the main docks. There are anew tense moments as the two other troopers that way cover his retreat with blaster fire trading shots with your group while they retreat. Eventually they take up positions of cover behind the edges of the blast doors. Alarms now wail, echoing across the large empty blue deck, loyal citizens having fleed into any shop, cantina or casino they could. Inside you see the movement of a few more troopers taking cover behind half unpacked crates at the orders of an imperial officer in his charcoal uniform. A Stromtrooper on a armoured repulsor sled zips across the docking bay banking to face the doors.
The opening of the blast doors are 6m wide (4 squares) the troopers you've been pursuing have taken up positions just inside, two on the left side and one on the right.

@Russel You've had time during the pursuit to catch your breath a little and are one step up on the condition track. (One step down for -1 to all defense and attacks etc.)
@Taril and Russel if you haven't already, you can spend your second wind as a swift action to regain hit points equal to 1/4 of you Hp total or your constitution score (whichever is higher) (most likely your con score at this level...)
I'll get a map up in a few hours.

there are abandoned stalls, repulsor sleds with crates or other things about that you can take cover behind outside the blast doors.
