First Lt. Margit Dastl emerges from her slumber chamber. Slinging her pistol into position in her holster and walks towards the bridge.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

I guess someone could take this over if you sent us how this particular game works/is supposed to work or what have you.... congrats on graduating.. btw, now the hard part begins... you need to get your s##% together... ;)

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

"Yessir!" she says and then falls in and checks her equipment and loads a bullet in the chamber of both her weapons and keeps her eyes peeled for mines or any such foolishness.

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

The John Wayne character from the Longest Day... Or Vandy,... should we roll for hp?

Dastl looks at the Captain and gives him a salute but very quickly to not make him a target for snipers. "Sir, mission accomplished although ve lost a lot of good trooperz, how zou holin up, sir?"

"Vould zou like me to interrogate za prisona?"

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Upon reaching the rally point, Dastl looks at the remaining troopers and says, "Great job, vet's stay on 50% alert, ve need to keep noise discipleen, the other half enjoy zour K-rats...

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

She then looks at the rest of the group, "Are zou fellas allzight?"

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

I would say gloss it over and then tell us when we need to turn the doohickey on

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

5d100 ⇒ (10, 42, 36, 50, 45) = 183

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Is it possible for you to do a spoiler with your GM rolls in it? Everything seems so counterintuitive and ad hoc. Are there any bonuses for low crawling or crouching and if so do we add or subtract?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Out of how many pathfinders, noone has an m1919... oh well...

Margit follows the rest of the troopers in a crouch and helps setting up the transmitter. Profession Engineer 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Dastl frowns at hearing the demise of the Major, then shrugs her shoulders in apathy and asks the respectful question out of duty, "Zou didn't happen to get his dogtag, did zhou?"

So you guys want to do the smoke grenade idea or does anyone else have a better way to get out of this s~&~sandwich?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Dastl looks over the troopers, Spread out, keep zour intervals, Ve don't want one grenade to take out a squad!!!! Look across at that hedgerow... it isnt our f?$King objective, the damned middle is... Set the MGs to the left and right. Get us a sharpshooter or two to the front and take that bastard out!

She then turns to the PCs and an NPC officer or an experienced Sergeant, Ve can probably fill the area vit smoke and sneak in and set up the transmitter...

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Turning to Roy, Lets low crawl to set the maschina up, before we do we pop smoke, which gives us cover to run back to a more defensible position. These two pointing at the other two soldiers move to the left flank and initiate contact upon unser hand signal, ve set it up, and make it back.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

What are distances give or take?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

"Well, I thinkz our best bet is to sneak in as far as we could, pop smoke, plant the transmitter under the concealment of the smoke and crawl back to the fence and hope ve can hold the position till help comes..." she says to Roy mostly but also to the other troopers there.

Roy, troopers any suggestions?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Perception to see distance and alternate approach routes 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

How far is the hedgerow and can we out maneuver it?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Margit scratches her chin with her pointer finger, Zheems ve could pop zha smoke and set it up in zha confusion or ve could ambush zheir ambush, she says thinking out loud.

Turning to the other troops accompanying Roy and her, "How many smoke grenates do zhou have?"

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

After hearing "friendly fire" Margit walks over to Roy and says "Sorry about zhat."

After seeing its ok, she says, "Well fellas, ve needs to unass this place before zome faschistic Prussian heard what just happened and tries to finish zhe job."

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 to see any important landmarks.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Of course none of us has a set of binoculars... on the other hand it is dark so they wouldnt be of any use at this point...

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Im glad they are planting edible vegetables in my wake :) So how far am I from Roy?

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 to see if there are anymore enemy soldiers in the area.

If it is relatively safe, Margit will move towards Roy and say Flash in what my old top would call a shouting whisper.

If not she will attack the closest enemy with her grease gun 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 for 1d4 ⇒ 2, 1d4 ⇒ 4, 1d4 ⇒ 3.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

What happened to Roy?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Margit takes a quick swig from her canteen and continues to the strike zone.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

I assume Margit is not being followed.

After five minutes of waiting she then continues back towards the direction of the strike zone, trying to be extra careful not to be detected and doubling back to catch would be pursuers, until she sees an ally soldier, French citizen or an enemy column.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

So 44 9mm rounds, and a flask of something probably schnapps... hmmm pear, raspberry or peach 1d3 ⇒ 2 yay raspberry...

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Like the historical stuff... Good riddance to the major... The dice can be fickle sometimes...

Margit looks through the dead bodies looking for a German ID card, 9mm ammunition for her modified Grease Gun and anything for alchemical things like a flask or Stielhandgranaten(stick grenades) and some Reichsmarks, too.
Perception on body 1 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7, Perception on body 2 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

She then goes in the direction she ascertained from before where the DZ should be or the strike zone should be and sticks to the forest running first until she is into the forest and then doubles back a slight bit making sure she isn't followed.

Perception on being followed 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

I liked my previous action better with the pistol a nice 19 and 6 damage was nothing to complain about for reals...

Margit then switches to her Grease Gun and lets off a controlled burst 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14,1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 for 1d4 ⇒ 3,1d4 ⇒ 3, 1d4 ⇒ 4

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

If you have one weapon in you hand, you are going to switch why? I haven't pistol whipped anyone yet. It seems superfluous but what the hell

Margit tosses another hand grenade 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 which does 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7, location of it landing if missed is 1d8 ⇒ 2

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

You already got my Round 2

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

I am a smidge confused. So I get two attacks, I think. As I understand once I see hostile intent(surprise round I guess), grenade gets tossed.I can attack for round 1, They spray and pray and i can attack for round 2.

Round 1

Margit swears at them Ihr seid Dreckschweine, und werdet in Kuerze sterben!!!!

She takes aim with her trusty .45 and sends a round at the closest soldier downrange 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 doing a 1d6 ⇒ 3

Round 2

She takes a quick peek at her wounds and fires another round in the direction of the enemy with her pistol, if the one is now dead she attacks the other 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 doing 1d6 ⇒ 6

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Stealth 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
She makes her way to behind a tree and prepares her weapons. If the enemy doesn't see her she lets them walk by. If not she tosses a hand grenade into the midst of the group.

Dice1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
if its a miss 1d8 ⇒ 2

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Are they speaking German? If so, Margit would understand it, she is a native speaker after all, if French, most likely

Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Knowledge Nature for finding cover behind a tree, rock or hedgerow 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

She gets behind the cover and prepares one of her pineapple grenades and cocks the hammer of her pistol.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Margit takes in the scenery a bit too much and doesn't bend her knees properly enough to execute a flawless PLF and bangs her elbow in the while trying to slip out of her harness.

So ein Mist,

She then rolls up her parachutes and gear and digs a hole with the shovel, and covers it up with it. She then slides the shovel somewhere she can hide it easily. She then assembles her weapon, and slings it over her shoulder.

Knowledge Geography 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

She whips out her compass and takes a quick bearing in comparison to the local landmarks and the scenery while she descended and has a very good idea where she is in relation to where she should be and pauses for the sound of anything out of the ordinary.

Once anything passes her by, she then moves carefully and quietly not trying to invoke either the enemy or friendly fire. She keeps her pistol at the ready with one round in the chamber and seven in the magazine.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Margit fluidly takes her chute's carabiner and hooks it to the plane's static line with a professional's precision you can tell this isn't her first combat jump, she smiles with glee and excitement.

When the Jumpmaster screams Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

She waddles to the front of the plane and holds onto the edges of the door just before her "Go," takes a quick moment to admire the skyline and steps out into the sky as her body is taken by the wind outside. But it is quick however as she her body makes its way to the end of the static line.

Not sure what time of day it is, is it dawn?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Wouldn't a reflex or fortitude save make more sense? Unless you are rolling for random snafus like caught in a tree, stuck on a church steeple or landing in a pond. Which could fall anywhere between deadly and completely absurd.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Margit chuckles to herself fully knowing that jump order and survival is irrelevant.

Fellas, make sure zhou drop zhour kit bag before zhou land or zhou'll break a femur. Breaking a femur in Nazi occupied France is the vorse ting that can happen to zhou

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Once in the plane, Margit starts singing Blood upon The Risers... He was just a rookie trooper and he surely shook with fright as he checked all of his equipment made sure his pack was tight he had to sit and listen to those awful engines roar 'you ain't gonna jump no more'

"Is everybody ready?" cried the Sergeant looking up,
Our Hero feebly answered "Yes," and then they stood him up;
He jumped into the icy blast, his static line unfurled,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
He ain't gonna jump no more!

(I will skip a couple verses)

The ambulance was on the spot, the jeeps were running wild,
The medics jumped and screamed with glee, rolled up their sleeves and smiled,
For it had been a week or more since last a 'chute had failed,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
He ain't gonna jump no more!

He hit the ground, the sound was "SPLAT", his blood went spurting high;
His comrades, they were heard to say "A helluva way to die!"
He lay there, rolling 'round in the welter of his gore,
And he ain't gonna jump no more.

Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
Gory, gory, what a hell of a way to die,
He ain't gonna jump no more!

There was blood upon the risers, there were brains upon the chute,
Intestines were a-dangling from his paratrooper's boots,
They picked him up still in his Chute and poured him from his boots
He ain't gonna jump no more!

This one is a classic, I used to love this'n

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

When she jumps isn't so interesting but 1d4 ⇒ 2, Ok I will go second

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Will 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Margit puts her Corcoran Jump Boots and the rest of her gear on, she then helps any of her more groggy compatriots with their gear. Then she does a quick jump test to make sure nothing is over rattly, and securely fastened.

Afterwards she waddles her way to the C47 with a glimmer in her eye, a stone in her gut and excitement everywhere else.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

It has to do with the Geneva Convention, typically, AP rounds are only issued for weapons designated as antimaterial vs. antipersonnel, if we have them already, then cool. Napalm is a lot nastier than a molotov, ok, just being an alchemist, through and through

Margit nods her head and then spends some time sharpening her bayonet and pen knife before hitting the proverbial hay.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Just a quick side note, as a RL earner of the blood wings, some of the jodies(Marching songs) you would and could play with but the Airborne ones, never, you wouldn't make fun of what makes you elite. Roy's chant well is something a "Straight Leg" would do. (Anyone other than airborne)

After slowly rising and seeing the Captain, she asks, "Sir, I vas vondering if supply vas able to procure the AP rounds for our .30-06 rifles. Zhem could be a lifesaver in zha field."

Those rounds can puncture steel plate and we could sure use them against zhem bunkers

GM, would it be possible for margit to make a napalm cocktail by getting some diesel fuel from the motor pool?

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

After her being dismissed, she sees the others milling about evesdropping and she says with a large $-&t eating grin, "Zhu want to have an esprit de corps, kampfgeist, or whatever... Ve're all doing pushups for the All American Division"

She gets down (with the rest of the group) and does her 82 pushups with an additional clap at the end, chanting "A is for Airborne, I is for in the sky, R is for ready, B is for born to die, O is for out the door, R is for ready, N is for never quit and E is for everyday." By the the time she gets B the entire group is chanting in unison, they repeat that for the whole ordeal.

She gets up and says solemnly "Vone more for the paratrooper in the sky" as she points up making the veterans remember the jumps in Sicily and Salerno and their fallen comrades. And she gets back down again to the last one extra slow.

An Dich errinere ich mich, Johann und der Laboer Einsatz( I remember you Johann and the Laboe mission)

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

1st LT. Margit Dastl waits for the rest to clear the tent and speaks, "Sir, vith all due respect. Whether zhu like it or not I am an officer in the US Army and have been such for two years and have served with distinction during said time, and according the UCMJ am allotted the rights listed therein. I was not acting in an insubordinate manner. It is, of course, inappropriate to speak to a commissioned officer like that in front of the troops. Major, I hope we can work together to take down the damned NAZIs."

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Dastl looks at the SGT. and says,"I want to see 82 pushups for our mother division and then report to Master Sergeant Jones at battalion mess with zhour penknife for the potatoes. Understood!!!"

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Dastl frowns at the insubordination, "You may not be up to this mission joung man, cuz zhur eyesight and zhur hearing's be lacking, obviously, I itdn't a sir! If by God you mean Austrian, zhu've got the correct voman."

She takes a breath with McGregor at Attention and says, "I can either Article 15 zhour ass or get zhou doin' KP, zhour choice Sergeant."

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Dastl turns around to look at McGregor and says, Soldier, is that a way to address a superior officer? Zhu better git your gear squared away right quick and quit bad mouthing zhur betterzzzzz!

An army is an army after all. An Irishman with a Scots name... interesting...

Have to establish authority, I know the army is desperate for interpretation help but to stick me in a platoon as CO, strange, at least I'll get to earn an official mustard stain instead of all of the unofficial ones I cannot wear on my uniform.

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

Verflixte Scheisse, says Dastl to herself as she undoes her harness to stop waddling around uncomfortably.

She looks at Johnson, Seems you've been in England too long, picking up the vernacular and all... Gerries none but a Tommy would call the Preussen a Gerry...

Weiblich Austrian Alchemist 1/ Rogue (Spy) 1

When do we start heckling each other?
