If I take Rapid Shot, it says I can make an extra attack with a Crossbow, taking a -2 penalty to each shot, if I use a full-attack.

However, the rules say that normally, I need to use a Move Action to reload my Crossbow. So do I need to take Rapid Reload as well, in order to actually be able to make two attacks on a round?

You need some means of making loading your crossbow a free action. One way to do this is a light crossbow and rapid reload. But there are other ways as well, including going with a repeating crossbow (until it runs empty) and I believe a few magic properties help in this regard as well. But normally yes you need to take rapid reload first to make use of rapid shot with a crossbow.

Or just switch out to a bow if you dont want to waste the feat.

I don't want to sound confrontational, but I honestly want to know, if this is your logical interruptation of the rules, or was this spelled out somewhere? I'm not saying your logic is flawed, I would think the same thing, however if you read Rapid Shot, all it says is:

It just says "A ranged weapon". It doesn't say anything about reload times or anything. Unless something says differently, by RAW you could launch two bolts out of a Heavy Crossbow with only Rapid Shot.

But crossbows do state that you have to reload them. The ability to attack a second time doesn't help if there is no bolt loaded into the crossbow.

Why would it? Reloading is handled by whatever weapon you're using.

When making a full-attack, you can normally attack X number of times in a round. With rapid shot you can attack X+1 number of times.
