So it's off to the Frisky Unicorn.
As you approach the Frisky Unicorn, you hear a cacophony of shrieks and growls from within. Periodically, tiny dragons dart out of windows in the
turret before flying into other rooms to wreak havoc. There is also a loud argument coming from the kitchen. (B4)
You enter at B1. This spacious lobby features comfortable couches and tables laden with refreshments. Guests lounge on the couches, speculating idly about what could have pseudodragons so upset, while servants look toward the kitchen. The guests’ theories are fanciful, and none of them is remotely close to the truth. Their most popular theory is that the inn’s proprietor, Oliver Cadmion, decided to start charging them rent. A stack of flyers for the Green Market can be found on one table.

"I guess we see what's upsetting the pseudodragons? Or the argument in the kitchen first?"
@GM: Knowledge check for info on pseudodragons?
He will take a flyer in case it's related to their investigation.

It's obvious that the pseudodragons are extremely angry about something. If you want to talk to one, you would need to attract it's attention then use diplomacy to calm it down. As for the inn's owner, he's nowhere in sight.

Hey little dragons, could you halt your arguement? You can tell us what makes you so upset and maybe we can help if you don't mind.

"Likewise," Saturn adds while he conjures a small constellation of baleful orbs and sends them up to draw the dragons' attention.

A passing pseudodragon pauses long enough to tell you that 'someone stole their eggs and sends you a fuzzy image of the culprit by telepathy. The message is accompanied by vile obscenities.
You think further answers may be found in the kitchen.

"Stealing eggs??? Not if I can help it. I'm going to the kitchen."
Kageryu heads to the kitchen as fast as he can.

This well-appointed kitchen is in disarray. Several nervous cooks and other kitchen workers linger at the sides of the room, watching the loud argument unfolding in front of them. Lomen, the resident cook, and Craik,
Lady Qualstair’s personal chef (LN male human experts 2), are bickering over how Lady Qualstair should be served. Upon seeing you, Lomen rushes to fetch the inn’s owner, while Craik surreptitiously asks, Are you here about the beasties? He confides his belief that at least one of the pseudodragons is actually a full-sized dragon—based upon the racket.[/b]
After 1 minute, Lomen returns with the Frisky Unicorn’s proprietor, Oliver Cadmion (LG male human aristocrat 2). Cadmion mistakes you for a team of pseudodragon experts whom he requested from the Acadamae. He says “his dragons” are normally docile, but something has agitated them, and now they are flying into guests’ rooms and tearing apart their belongings. So far, no one has been hurt, but Cadmion worries the creatures may become violent—or worse, move out, which would be a disaster for his business. He offers you a reward if you can calm the creatures without killing them or driving them away.

I'll let the lead Diplomancer take point. The pseudodragons sent us a fuzzy image of the egg thief; hopefully that helps.

"Is this person familiar to you? It appears they are the ones who stole eggs from the pseudodragons which has them angry and you in your current predicament."
Kageryu will relay the details from the pseudodragons telepathic message.

Cadmion looks horrified at the thought of someone interfering with the pseudodragons.
Meanwhile Craike takes Saturn aside and whispers to him.

"That's a fair point, actually...that? That not so much. You've had your chance to speak, I'll apologize for nothing."
Saturn considers if he knows of any powerful magickal rites or elixirs that might justify the sacrifice of a pseudodragon egg.

You notice the world once again taking on a sepulchral quality all around you - Saturn has once again graced you with his presence.
"Can you believe that fool? And the greater fool he, says I, for he serves another fool - one who sought to dine on a dragon omelet simply for the novelty, not even any aspirations toward lichdom or whathaveyou! And the imbeciles expected a paltry thousand gold's worth of gems was a good enough compensation for the lasting ire of Dragonkind!" He cackles, as though the whole situation is funny. "Lord, what fools these ephemerae be!"
He snaps his head down to look at his doll again.
"I know, I know, but that really isn't any of OUR concern, now is it?"

Can we stop Craike and have a talk before he left the kitchen?
Seconded.
Kageryu Takeda

I can't see why not, plus there's nothing to stop you from searching the kitchen either. Craike is in the process of trying to make a discrete exit.
Kageryu places a 'friendly' arm around Craike's shoulders and gently, but firmly, steers him back into the kitchen.
"A moment please. The pseudodragons believe you are the thief who stole their eggs. You can either talk with us and tell us what you know or you can face their wrath. I do not think you will survive their anger."

Craike spills the beans. Yes, he snuck up earlier that morning and stole three pseudodragon eggs, dropping one in his haste to leave when he say what he claims is a full sized dragon up there.
"Where are the other two eggs? And what's the fate of the one you dropped?"
Saturn. S. A. B. K. F. Maitreya
|
Saturn does a double-take between Craike and the direction of the roof at this last revelation - but his gaze returns to the former.
"One thing I don't understand," He inquires in a tone as neutral as gray cobblestones. "If you had the eggs already, what did you want my help for? To fetch the one???"
Saturn. S. A. B. K. F. Maitreya

Saturn looks back at the rest of the party. "Well! If he was willing to offer a thousand in gems for a single egg, imagine what bounty a true dragon can offer for the thief of three!"

Since he is intimidated, Craike points to a kitchen cupboard just as two beefy guards, called by the manager, come in to arrest whoever disturbed the pseudo dragons.
Kageryu wastes no time pointing out Craike to the guards, "He confessed to stealing the pseudodragon eggs and possibly broke one of them."
He spares Craike a smile, "Good luck." and then proceeds to the kitchen cupboard to search it.
