"AH!" Vren exclaims with a jump when the Cathar speaks. It takes a couple moments before the Duros responds. "Oh, uhh....yes. I...uh...just was remembering something. Sorry."
"Memories are a good thing," says Elashi the Cathar. "Thank goodness you took Lionel's offer."
Vren Suurgav
Vren nods, "Yes, I'm very hopeful." The Duros turns his bulbous head to face the inside of the vessel and then turns back to Elashi. "Umm..are you going to be following me around as I check things out?" Vren asks. He then quickly follows it up with, "Oh..uh..not that that is a problem or anything. I mean...if you want to...I mean,...you don't know me so that makes sense.."
Sulvar Skyseeker
A tired looking reddish brown haired Cathar comes out from the marketplace and makes his way towards the ship.
I got to come across well enough that they might take me on. I am getting station fever, and want to feel a ship around me again.
He continues to walk toward the newly landed ship as he watches people disembark from it.

"No, I'm not."

Sulvar straightens up as he walks towards the ship, dragging repulsors carrying a fair amount of gear.
Well, in for a credit, in for a roll.
He clears his throat as he approaches the Cathar at the airlock.
Excuse me, but are you looking for Crew. I can do most positions on a ship from engineer, to pilot.
Marz Shun
"Yes!" - Marz agrees - "I already went through the Jedi archives, as I said. There are many other Force traditions... For instance, I thought about seeking the Baran Do sages that raised me. Maybe they'd have some clues, despite everything that happened with Dorin."
She pauses briefly.
"We could also consider seeking... The Sith archives, if they actually exist anywhere. However, not only it feels like an errand's fool on the danger alone, they have their own mythic elusive planets, like Dromund Kaas, to be concerned with. But if everything else fails to prove fruitful..."
She finally signs to HT88 that they're leaving. The droid rolls its eyes, then goes back to follow the force users back to the ship.

Vren gets to work looking over everything in the engine room. He does not touch anything initially, his first sweep is for identification.
Take 20 on mechanics is a 36, same for use computers. Anythingnotable, special, or problematic?
The ship has a .75 rated Hyperdrive.

"... and yet it's funny what we find and where we find it, even odds and ends which are Zeltronian."
Hard to notice casually, but the young man could in fact be part Zeltronian, he turns to the Captain, "Captain, well met, I do hope you buy some spiced wine. Might you have space aboard your vessel for two passangers?"
The boy then addresses the codru-ji directly, extending his arms, his palms facing upward. The bracers revealed on both of his forearms displayed ornate engravings, yet the Mandolorian noticed instantly: these bracers were constructed of phrik. He didn't understand the writing, he couldn't interpret the images, but he knew what it would take to craft them. The boy spoke.
"Briik'se gar t'ad, ner ad'ika gar ner riduur. Ibac ad'ika ni cuyan; t'ad'ike ni cuyan te jate'kara. Haalasir ner?

As Marz gets to the ship, she nods towards the captain and his second in command.
"This is our captain, Sona." - she smiles underneath all the mask and cloth - "... And that's Elashi."
She switched towards Ni't.
"Gentlemen, this is my friend, Ni't. She will be accompanying us to our next destination." - she completes, introducing people, and then looking towards Vren and Sulvar - "Now... You two, I don't know."
She approaches the Duros and the Cathar, briefly doing a quick bow. HT88 walks behind her with a somewhat paternal-threatening attitude.
"Nice to meet you both. You can call me Marz, and this is HT88." - she finally stops, waiting with curiosity towards Sona to clarify who are the new crew members. Her tone is serene and unworried.

While my character knows the language, my knowledge of it tends to be more “throwing a few words or phrases into and English sentence.” I’m trying to use AI to help me out here, but I’m still a little fuzzy on parsing the full sentence. Help? (In fact, it may be better for us to provide spoiler tagged translations, since even if we can parse it, I wouldn’t expect the other players to be able to.)

The reddish skinned Twi'lek gives a rather informal wave at all who has gathered at this point
"Hi. Nice to meet friends and soon to be friends. Seems this little voyage is not as little as I would have thought"
Her dress is comfortable, but also for warm to very hot climates. Light fabric, certain areas almost see-through. Robust and one can see that her wear has seen or experienced a lot of sun.

Sorry I have not been on, got hit with a major GI stomach bug. it kept me using the facilities a lot.
Sulvar looks at the groups of people coming and looks at Elashi.
Are any of these people the captain? He keeps glancing at his gear, and the incoming people.
"No," Elashi states.

Bes'rk slowly nods at the boy, not having expect to encounter anyone here fluent in his people's tongue. Nor one so young, and unarmored. "Gar taldin ni jaonyc; gar sa buir, ori'wadaas'la*, as they say." Turning to the captain, he says "Have need of a few more guns while you're stocking up?" he asks, two of his hands going unconsciously to his blaster carbines.

The DH-17s holstered at the hip of the young noble were in pristine condition; if they'd been fired, ever, it would be hard to tell. On close inspection ... it would still be very hard to tell.
"I have my guns, my hands, and my name to bring with me, the best of those possibly being my name. I would travel with you if you'd have me, and I'll pay my passage if I can't help out."
Vren Suurgav
"Ah!" Vren exclaims in surprise at the Cathar. It is now clear that he was completely absorbed in his work on the nav system. "Oh, uhh...hi," he stumbles out as he regains his composure. He then turns his portable computer screen to face Sulvar as wires dangle. "Are you familiar with the basic navi OS?"
(I leave it up to you, Sulvar, what you see. He is doing maintenance on the navi system and has a +16 to use computers. I'll roll with it however you want to play it.)
Vren Suurgav
"Oh," Vren responds a little disappointed, "I was talking about the kernel. That's fine. I'm just doing some routine maintenance. Ya'know, correcting outdated cache," he says as if the terminology he's using is commonly known. It definitely does seem that he sincerely is unaware that his word choice is well known. The Duros shrugs, "No help is really necessary, honestly. It is just a process that I wrote a program to do. It's running in the background as explore the kernel."
Those that know a decent amount about computers would know that such maintenance normally requires manual work as a program to do it would have to be very complex. It would have to have up-to-date data sets and compare those data sets with each of the references to those in the ship's navi system. And, routes computed for travel are saved in the cache to expedite future travel if the route is traveled again. Such cache is often simply cleared because once a cache becomes 'outdated' it is essentially useless. It is weird then that Vren said 'correct' instead of 'clear'.

Lionel was still negotiating with the port authority. "Yes, I'd like to buy some wine for my new friends here," he pointed to Amidala and Skirata. "Just enough to get us to the other system."
"That will cost three hundred credits," says the representative.
Lionel said, "Done. Three hundred credits."

"Here's the thing, and this is meant to be a gigantic compliment, because for sure you do not have the look about you, but wow, you have GOT to have attended finishing school on Naboo or something. Wow!"
The young man is literally shaking his head from side to side
"That was absolutely the most backhanded acceptance I have ever received in my not that long life, and while I feel like I have done my time, especially on Naboo, that was really something. My thanks ... our thanks actually." He gestures towards the Mandolorian.
