If I haven't bolded anyone yet, it's because I am still rolling dice and resolving the effects of attacks. You will probably need to change your action because of that.
Omni-Lithic
|
Yeah - that was my bad re: Iseph & Trick Attack — bad math. He'll need to attempt the Trick roll next time to succeed.
Both hits are solid ones - hard enough that they generate an Entropy Point each.
Omni's now at 3 EPs.

Based on developments....
(Reaction) As Omni is taken to the sky Attack of opportunity!
AOO on blue: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 233d10 + 17 ⇒ (10, 1, 10) + 17 = 38

Belor just misses the birdlike creature as it launches into the air. He does, however, land a solid blow on the one closer to the ground.
Round 2-3 - bolded may go
Belor (-17 SP, +2 AC)
Omni (-64 SP, -2 AC, grappled, 50 ft. up)
Iseph
Red (-102 HP)

Omni stares at the Blue-feathered beast as the pair rockets into the sky, trying to find a good way to brace for a solid swing when something in her mind clicks. She realizes that one lasting effect from her recent encounter with a deity's weapon unlocked some latent psychic ability - one that she unleashes at Blue.
L4 Mind Thrust DC 16 Will: 10d10 ⇒ (8, 4, 10, 8, 8, 5, 1, 3, 10, 2) = 59
Note that a failed save means full damage & Blue is fatigued for 1 round.
Success means half damage & no fatigue.
Omega Man

Iseph ducks around and behind some scraps of Rasheen's ship, popping back out to shoot at Red.
Trick attack vs CR: 1d20 + 18 - 20 ⇒ (5) + 18 - 20 = 3
Trick Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (1, 2, 8, 4) = 15

Patrick moves a bit closer along the ground and fires on blue with an old azimuth laser pistol
alp: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 fire: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
It may have been a while since he last used it too.

Patrick takes a shot, but it goes well wide.
Omni-lithic draws on some latent power to force himself into the brain of the creature carrying him.
Will Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
It is hard to intrude upon the alien creature's mind, but it is definitely in pain.
Iseph once again fails to trick the creatures, but this time he also can't land his shot.
The reddish enemy tries to grab onto Belor.
Claw: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32
Piercing Damage: 2d8 + 15 ⇒ (7, 3) + 15 = 25 plus Grab
It hits, but cannot get a grip. It hovers back slightly.
The blue foe flies up another 50 feet and releases Omni-lithic.
Omni, what is the source of your fly speed, and do you have any reactions that could arrest your fall? This will affect just how painful the drop is.
Fall Damage?: 10d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 3, 1, 6, 3, 1, 5, 5) = 31
Round 3-4 - bolded may go

Omni wears a forcepack and has a Viridian Balbis Aeon stone as a booster.
She was already in flight mode before being grabbed, but will deal with the impact if it requires a specific reaction to maintain her flight mode.
PS - shouldn't Blue be the one that's 100ft up, not Red?
Omega Man

Iseph sees no reason to move, so they try being stealthy instead, hoping to connect with Red.
Trick Attack: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34
That'll work vs CR 14
Trick Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 8, 2, 7) = 19
Thunderstrike Pistol vs Red's FF EAC with Coordinated Shot from Belor: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 1 = 21

Nope, Omni just hovers there once the creature lets go. How disappointing for it!
Patrick pelts the creature high in the air with balls of force.
Belor swings twice at the enemy closer to the ground, hitting a single time.
Iseph has the hang of these creatures, and fakes the reddish one out before
The remaining enemy decides that it is better off elsewhere and flies into the distance.
Belor (-42 SP)
Omni (-64 SP)

The team has time to rest before moving on. The Starfinders make their way overland to the nearby village of Requiem Falls.
A dirt road cuts across the badlands, leading out past the edge of the brush and into a cluster of rustic buildings cobbled together from a mix of prefab parts, discount salvage, and an assortment of woods, mud, and stones. A little over half of the buildings appear to be civilian homes, though the number of small shops, science labs, and government buildings increase the closer one gets to the center.
At the heart of town, in the middle of the village square, is a statue of a human woman bearing a striking resemblance to the one in the recording left on the Raven’s Flight. The statue’s base and feet have been mostly swallowed up by vines, but the plants have been tended away from its front so the plaque adorning it is still clearly visible. It reads: “In Honor and Memory of Valirya Ravenlight, the Hero of Requiem Falls.”
The Starfinders’ arrival draws stares and whispers from the locals, not in an unfriendly way but with mild curiosity. Shortly after examining the statue, the group is approached by a few village officials who ask after the party’s business.

Perception DC26: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
Omni points out the stylized R at the base of the statue.
She had little problem spotting it behind the plants at the statue's base since her Clearsight Goggles mitigated their presence.
| cmlobue |
One of the townsfolk finally approaches the Starfinders. "Pardon me, friends, but I couldn't help but notice you admiring our statue. You don't look like you're from around here. Is there anything we can help you with?"
Omni-Lithic
|
Omni looks around, searching for her usual intercedor on her behalf for situations like this. Alas, Dr. A-Prof isn't along for the mission. She'll just have to handle things on her own.
"Ummm... Hi? We're travelers, Starfinders following along in Rasheen's footsteps. It looks like she came here after her ship crashed. Can you tell us where she went from here?"
Omni-Lithic
|
"I'm Omni. Omni Lithic. A professor from Qabarat University." she adds, offering the townsfolk a slightly glittery tentacle.
| cmlobue |
“Jelev Rasheen? ‘Course we’ve heard of her — even we’re not that cut off. Traders especially love to spin their yarns, going on and on about what they’d do if they ever found her golden treasure barge. Requiem Falls would’ve been around in her heyday, sure, but she never came by here, or even to Pan. We’d still be talking about it if she had! Talk about a claim to fame!”
Omni-Lithic
|
Omni's petty trusting, overall, but she's had to deal with a few duplicitous students in her day.
Patrick Messier
|
Patrick has also had to deal with students, but mostly post graduates. He also used to be rather paranoid about the ladies.
sm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
He sent a text to his comrades. Rasheen using an alias?
Belor McKraken TROX SOLDIER

So you have heard of Rasheen...But there is no Rasheen here... Belor points to the statue Perhaps you can enlighten us on who this person is? What is their achievement? Must be quite a story to have a statue after all
| cmlobue |
No one senses any dishonesty.
“Valirya Ravenlight — Val to her friends — was an off-worlder who blew into town a good, oh, thirty or forty years after it was first settled. Strangers coming through town is uncommon but not unheard of, as we get our fair share of folks looking to disappear out here. It’s not polite to ask too many questions. Folks disagree exactly how long Valirya stayed in town, but everyone agrees on how she left: singlehandedly defending it from a horde of bandits looking to conscript the villagers for mining work. Legend says that, after holding off the worst of the gang in a days-long battle, she left to face their leader one-on-one, and neither she nor the bandits were ever seen again.”
One resident reports to the Starfinders, “If you want to hear more about that story, you want to talk to the Founder — Ms. Elarora. She’s the only one left from the old days. Been around here since forever.”
Omni-Lithic
|
"Imagine that." mumbles Omni.
Then she dials up he volume to a conversational level.
"Could you take us to meet with your town's Founder. Elders often have the best stories to tell."
| cmlobue |
The Starfinders are pointed to a pair of greenhouses on the west side of the village.
Along the way, the team can take some time to canvass the village. Diplomacy check, with a +5 bonus if you have ranks in a charisma-based Profession.
Elarora Glyn is an elf so old she’s actually starting to show her age, her hair going a stately silver and wrinkles forming in the pale skin around her eyes and mouth. She gets around using a wheelchair that can switch between motorized and manual modes depending on how much control she needs, equipped with heavy-duty treaded wheels suitable for both the unpaved dirt roads of Requiem Falls and the rough hunting and gathering trails of the surrounding badlands.
The Starfinders can find Elarora tending one of the two large hydroponic greenhouses Requiem Falls uses to grow a small but reliable supply of imported fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs too delicate to survive in the harsh conditions of the badlands. She continues to work the entire time she talks with the PCs. Asking her about Valirya Ravenlight evokes a nostalgic smile.
“Yes, I knew her,” Elarora says, placing a row of seeds in a planter. “Val kept her distance at first, but we became very good friends over the years. She and I, we both loved those silly historical pulp novels—she liked space operas about explorers from the years before the Drift, and I’ve always loved anything about the daring adventurers of Lost Golarion. She was a hell of a driver and a fantastic engineer, but we had no idea she was so good with a gun until the Syndicate rolled into town.”

"What can you tell us about the ruins near the Falls? They sound interesting, but I guess I'm a bit biased - being a Xenoarchaeologist, after all."
Belor McKraken TROX SOLDIER
|
Belor has a +15 to intimidate but +0 to diplomacy. Belor has no interest in bullying an old lady.
Patrick Messier
|
I agree with you about those old pulp novels. I've read quite a few myself when I was younger. Now it's mostly physics journals. And that waterfall seems interesting to look at. I should image it while I'm here.
| cmlobue |
"Oh, the ruins, yes. They can be beautiful, in their way. From an advanced civilization, long past. Been many years since I've been there. Nothing really left there for me to see after centuries or more, and anything useful's been found long since."
Not the line of questioning I expected...
Omni-Lithic
|
"And there was a siccatite mine as well? Mmmm. I haven't had a good taste of that in a while. Was the Syndicate interested in those resources or was it something else?"
| cmlobue |
"The ‘horde of bandits’ of Valirya’s legend was in fact the nascent Ixo Syndicate, the criminal organization that owns most of the rest of Pan but is notably nowhere to be seen in Requiem Falls. They were just starting out when they blew into town, hoping to gain control of it and its recently uncovered siccatite deposit. This deposit had been Valirya’s find in the first place, so she got into fight after fight with the invading gang. Eventually, she took on the role of protector for the entire village."
Omni-Lithic
|
Omni claps/slaps her tentacles together as the tale unfolds.
"How exciting! Could we possibly take a look at the ruins, or maybe the mines? Who knows what relics might still be lurking there?"
| cmlobue |
"I'd imagine you can find Ixo Syndicate anywhere but here. Not sure why you'd want to, though. I'm sure you folks are tough, but not tough enough to take all of them on at once.
"I'm happy to give you directions to the ruins, but exploring's just too much for me. When you're so old you don't remember when you were born, tending the garden is plenty of excitement, you know?"
Anything else to do in town before you go?
Omni-Lithic
|
Omni would like to obtain some snacks - examples of the local pottery or cutlery would suffice.
| cmlobue |
"My concerns don't really reach other planets any more. I'm sure oyu could find someone to answer that for you, but I can't help. I'm sorry."
After stopping in town for some food/crockery, the Starfinders head for the ruins a few miles upriver.
The scrublands around the Requiem Falls ruins grow wild and untamed. The shrubbery here is made up of squat, densely-packed bushes thick with unpleasant thorns. With time and effort, a trail could be hewn through the greenery with brute force, but it’s easier for the PCs to follow the old branching trails up from the village until they reach the open remains of what was once the facility’s entrance.
From here, you can see an odd purple glow coming from the east. However, there are no paths to it large enough for you to easily reach.
You can attempt an Acrobatics check to squeeze through, but either thorns (if you go through the bushes) or jagged bits of metal (if you go through the ruins) will damage you on a failure.)
Omni-Lithic
|
Omni considers the options before mentioning My control of entropy grants me the ability to clear obstructions from my path when I charge. I could easily blaze a path through the thorns, but it would leave an obvious path that others could follow later. We might also be able to fly over them as well. What do you think?"
Patrick Messier
|
Well ... as someone once told me, take only photos, leave only footprints. Fly would be advantageous but I do not have the ability to do so, something I should have remedied by now.
He sighs, thinking of his tiefling friend who would find this extremely hilarious. Three upgrade slots in his armour and nothing in them.
Omni-Lithic
|
"We've got some time - no pressure." as she extracts a Null-Space Chamber from her shell. Skimming over the inventory, she finally located what she sought.
"Here it is - one Jetpack, slightly used. You can install it, right?"
Note: Omni seldom discards her old gear - someone will find a use for it.
Belor McKraken TROX SOLDIER

Belor clicks his mandibles in excitement.
HA! Good thinking Omni! Let us fly over these pesky thorns!
Belor activates his jetpack and soars over the hazard with ease after Patrick is equipped.
