I'm currently running a 6th lvl Vivisectionist Alchemist in a Serpent's Skull campaign and originally (pre Vivisectionist) had planned to go into the Master Chymist Prc.
Now the Vivisectionist is a fantastic option for a melee alchemist and combined with 3 nat attacks is a beast in combat. However the MC PrC does not advance sneak attack dice. It does say that it advances bomb damage but not bombs per day.
I was wondering what folks thought of a modification to the PrC. I'm not looking at full sneak attack advancement as that would be too much but what about 2/3rds advancement or maybe dropping the dmg from d6 to d4.
Any advice?

In my party there is a Vivisectionist 8/Master Chymist 1.
He was automatically allowed a sneak attack full progression, and even if he did a slaughter with Feral mutagen + Enlarge/Shield + Haste + Flanking + Full-attack (something like 1d10+10 + 1d10+10 + 2d6+10 + 2d6 + 10 + 20d6), it took him three rounds to buff, and the fighter/barbarian behind still hit easier and dealt more damage, with more HP and AC.

Master Chymist stacks with Alchemist for purposes of Bomb damage dice.
Vivisectionist gives Sneak Attack instead of Bomb.
Just have Master Chymist add to sneak attack like the vivisectionist, and instead of the bombs.
+1 to this. If Sneak Attack and Bombs are considered to be a fair trade (a-la Alchemist -> Vivisectionist in the first place) I see no issue with continuing whatever "bomb" progression is described as "sneak attack"

I would suggest you replace brutality with sneak attack progression.
I don't like simple swapping out bomb progression for sneak attack progression because the classes already synergize way too well and giving a Full BAB/ Full Sneak Attack option is pretty powerful. Also, they don't get full bomb progression, bomb damage advances but they don't get any additional bombs per day which considering their rate of fire can be limiting.

Which is why I was thinking of a slower sneak attack progression and/ or a lower die damage but changing out the brutality is also an option I hadn't considered. I'll think about it and run it past my DM, thanks.
