((Shurosko -40))
Jek still to go.

![]() |

will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
(-54) Skorusko shrieks and a wave of fear flows over you all. (DC 17 will or be frightened for one minute.)

![]() |

Oh - everyone is up by the way.

![]() |

DC 17 Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 Fail, Frightened for 1 min
Xeno continues to send more magic missiles to Skurosko.
Magic Missile: 3d3 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) + 3 = 10 force damage

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
I'm assuming unless the door is locked we have to flee the room if we fail?
Jek flees the room yelling
"Run or it will compost your brains."

![]() |

That is enough to fell Shurosko. Now you have the keycard, you have unrestricted access to the entire base so you can finish your mission at leisure.
Under the bed, you find the following: valuable gems worth a total of 1,500 credits; a mk 1 ability crystal and a set of elaborate elite stationwear armor.

![]() |

The corner room is the base commander's personal bathroom. The bathroom seems like it was once very stylish, while maintaining a great deal of practicality. However, time has reduced the fixtures to rust, and lines of mold run up and down the tiles.
The room is piled high with explosives and you can leave another locator disk here.
Also, Jek doesn't feel those feelings of fear and paranoia any more.

![]() |

Jek looks around cautiously before entering then slowly enters.
"That strange feeling of fear and paranoia seems to be gone now, but first thing when we get back to the Lore Spire I'm going straight to the top and demand we be better equipped with weapon-grade fungicides next time. I also think they should ban mushrooms in the criteria food too."
Jek shivers just saying the word mushrooms then goes on talking
"So we find anything interesting in here?
Jek looks at the pile of things the rest of the party found while Jek was hiding
"Nice find, have we covered the whole base yet? This looks like the commander's room might be good to check the computer in here for any info, did we find any computer in here? I'm curious what that mushroom thing was too."
Jek takes the time to see what Shurosko was
Life Science: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Medicine: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Mysticism: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

![]() |

It takes a little while but Jekcedo determines that the creature was a kind of fey, specifically a fear eater.
It also seems you have swept most of the base and uncovered most of what you could find for the ExoGuardians. Is there any places you wish to recheck? Or do you consider your mission concluded?

![]() |

"Oh I almost forgot we should go back check out that room we left because of the fear effect it was having. Can anyone else think of someplace else we need to check again?"
room E3

![]() |

Sounds good Jek!" Dirk follows the others and waits for the party then opens the door.
Once in the room Dirk looks around.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
moved my token on the other map.

Thoroughness and attention to detail ensures the leader can always act on the best possible information. Woe the leader who creates blind spots, for in the darkness the enemy broods. RZMR says, encouraging the exploration of the last room. He will enter after Dirk.
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

![]() |

Tuek, somewhat trepidatiously, follows the others.

![]() |

Once in the room Jek also looks around
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

![]() |

Apart from all those mushrooms, nothing of significance is found in E3.
Anywhere else?

![]() |

I think we all might have missed our perception checks in B3 might be good to double-check that room. The only other thing I can think of is room B1 is where we had our weapons disabled, with Shurosko dead maybe we can restore our weapons now. That's the only 2 things I can think of.

![]() |

You did miss something in B3 so, yes, double checking that room would be a good idea - if you do - please roll perception checks.

![]() |

While heading out Jek stops
"My antennas are giving me a funny feeling about this room maybe we should check it out again."
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Perception to Aid next check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

The subconscious in the biological form amounts to incomplete processing of information. What in animals is referred to as instinct is nothing more than flawed data capture, information put aside to accomodate the limiting processing capabilities of the soft meat. Only the most honed of minds are able to process all inputs with infallibility, correctly separating the important from the trivial, the consequential from the mundane. RZMR orates, with giving much hint that the processing capabilities of his mind are any better than Jekcedo's. His announcement voice then adds Wait until the red light stops flashing, another train may be passing from the opposite direction.
RZMR then engages his processing capabilities
Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2 Next time take the lens cap off, RZMR

This time you discover some working weapons, a thunderstrike sonic pistol, a red star plasma rifle and several notable weapon publications (written in Ghibran) worth 500 credits.
The DC was 20

Anywhere else you wish to recheck?

![]() |

not sure we searched E1 very well we might have gotten distracted by a sound in the other room. I think there was a target range we did not go into but it didn't sound safe
"Did we search the command center? what about that target range?"

![]() |

E1 you covered and I'm fairly sure you've checked out everywhere now.

![]() |

"I think we just need to call for the transport to come to pick this up and we are done with the fungus infected place."

![]() |

You can easily make their way back to the surface and board their ship. Before they leave, their Guide wishes them luck in their future endeavors and voices the hope that whatever threat the Starfinders need the weapons to face, it doesn’t result in a catastrophe similar to the one that claimed her home world. The Guide is quite capable of returning to their home, but appreciates it if you offer to provide transport.
Back on Absalom Station, Zigvigix debriefs you, leaning in to hear every detail of the tale. Since you marked at least three weapon stashes with the locator discs, the shirren breathes a sigh of relief and states, once again, that these weapons will be used only in self-defense. Zigvigix also notes that they will personally take any information related to the history of the ghibranis to the Dataphiles, specifically their leader, Historia-7, for storage in the Society’s archives.
Each of you gains the Ghibran Linguist and Knowledge of a Forgotten Military boons on the Chronicle sheets. You also earn the Weapons of a Lost Civilization boon on the Chronicle sheet.
As for your cursehacked weapons, the condition gradually degrades the affected weapon, reducing it to inoperable scrap within a matter of weeks. Upon returning to Absalom Station or other major population center, you can make further attempts to remove the curse using remove affliction or skill checks. You can instead pay 20% of the weapon’s price in credits to hire a specialist to remove the condition. If you do
not remove the condition before concluding the scenario, the weapon is destroyed. If you try selling the weapon, you risk infamy.
You also earn 2 reputation with your faction and an additional 1 with the Exo-Guardians.
Dayjob rolls please.

![]() |

I never figured out does that affects any or all 9 of Jeks grenades? If so what is the DC to fix them with mysticism?

![]() |

I'm going to say that the grenades were unaffected
