just posting my last few requests, as I imagine it will be easier to do all this from Discussion, rather than going back and forth:

Leo, as you are creating your alias, having the text of your powers. abilities within your profile (like River's) would be greatly appreciated. The Kineticist is a pretty complex class in terms of all the moving parts and lists of powers (that I'm not familiar with) and not having to look them up myself will be a big time-saver.

Leonardo and Benedetto, are you alright with the idea of training together as you grew into your powers and skills? This would be a way for you to know each other, without changing the backstories you already have in mind.

For the record, I would be happy to "reconstitute" Zephyr for this reboot: would be amazing for him to be a kinesticist also; his companion Fury would become an elemental whisper in that case.

I have no problem with that! :) Since we will be having a slow-ish start to all this with the holidays, please take the time to re-do Zephyr in a style that makes you happy.

In general, with a fair number of kineticists in the party now, please make sure we're all feeling distinct and that we have all the bases covered in terms of utility, damage, and healing. I leave it up to you.


And for everyone playing a Kineticist, please make your profile as much like River's as possible (copy/pasting the text of all individual powers, etc, because I cannot spare the time to look them up, as this is essentially a brand-new class to me)

I shall try to add them. Its a lot, so I may just make a separate spoiler for them. merry Christmas as well.

as a note, I'd remind people that Kineticist healing is a stop gap. Its a big heal, relatively speaking, but it comes with a point of burn for one person. And if it ever matters, it won't compare to heal/greater restoration type spells.

That being said it is a lot of healing and I'll pick up the restoration type ability eventually. So Rorek is right, we won't be able to take you from one point to full in a single shot, but as long as you don't die, everything else will be fine. :)

River isn't technically a kineticist but in terms of party role she's a frontliner. HP, good AC (and hopefully with GM permission a bit later on, better ac!) and a lot of movement when needed. She'll be dancing around the battlefield looking to get between the scary things and everyone else.

So if Zephyr goes air and flies all the time, and Rorek takes some of the usual fire blasty stuff we should be fine!

Once Bennedetto gets his paladin abilities reinstated he'll be able to do some small healing, too.

As I'm reading through backgrounds, etc, I'm usually in the habit of giving new characters an additional skill (so imagine it is "trained", and you have 1 rank/lvl to spend exclusively on this one skill; just a small boon)

Also, I'm seeing a decent amount of skill overlap, and I wanted to ask if these changes might help:

--River keeps diplomacy, it seems to suit her undine nature and high charisma

--Leonardo gets half ranks bluff / half ranks diplomacy, and gets an additional +2 to bluff (he has many ways of talking things out)

--Benedetto gets full ranks and trained in intimidate instead of diplomacy (the blazing presence of the phoenix paladin!) but it is not active right now

In my defense, River has a tendency to distraction, or hyperfocus. Neither of which makes her perceptive. :D

I'd like to join together this group with my other table (Beyond the City of Light) this week -- we actually only have 1 memeber remaining from that group (1 left suddenly, 1 dropped PbP games in general, and 1 just had a baby).

My car is not a fan of the cold weather either and has informed me that my battery is old. XD

River is in no way organised enough to do things like 'prepare' or have a 'routine'. She might have prayed to the gods in a past life but now... nothing.

Anyone who does pray or have a routine might find her mimic-ing them at some point though.
