"Get me close and I am willing to scout them out. I have no idea what a demon prince looks like but I will do my best to describe them. You all will have to figure out what type of demon they are, prince or no."
Tanbu is willing to use his potion of invisibility once he gets close. But he wants the group to close within a few rounds away first just in case something goes badly wrong. GM Question: Anyone know if Greet's power to open dimensional gates make noise or is noticable.
"Sir Ilivan, do you think the demons will camp for a rest? Is that something you have seen demons do? We could use that stop to catch up and scout them."

![]() |

"Before any of that, it would be great if you (Tanbu) could slip in and scout first. Like I said before, we may not necessarily be in a position to rescue them. You are assuming the demonic party does not include a demon prince or something awful. I'd really, really like to know what we are up against before we move in."
She shakes her head, they are just not getting it, still wanting to just rush in with their own personal plans.
"Cyclic, again, making plans now is all well and good, but it real does help to have information about a group's tactics and capabilities, beforehand. More than one here who can sneak in there, I can at a push make myself unsee for a shot while."
She taps Greet,
"Greet you used some form of magic to move Makras into that last fight, what was that, and can you do that again."
Then over back at Cyclic
"What are your capabilities Cyclic and yours Andrelis?"
Masilcy I'm trying to circumvent metagaming by reading others PC sheets :)

![]() |

Cyclic responds, "I have a few spells and wands, mostly protective, and have excellent armor. Mange can do what you have seen him do. I tend to move in and provide a target to the enemies so that they will attack me and not someone else less well armored. So if someone heads in, I probably will too along with Mange."

GM Rutseg |

The group quickly picks up the trail and starts following it at a good pace.
Skyrocket can tell the charred hoof prints in the ground most probably belong to a brimorak, demons born from the souls of arsonists who love nothing more than setting fires. You can expect a fireball and other fire inducing powers. They are quite resistant to weapons, like other demons, except for cold iron or good aligned ones, but differently to other demons they are vulnerable to cold.
The other prints, Skyrocket thinks are from two dretches. Some of the lowest demons of the Abyss, and yet as hideous and foul as they are cruel. Their more dangerous ability is that one to create noxious clouds of gas that nauseate people.
Skyrocket further tells they are all immune to electricity, the brimorak also to fire, and have resistances to the other elements. But that they are not very strong willed and can be well attacked on that sense, plus the dretches have terrible reflexes also.
While the group discusses the plan on advance, Sir Ilivan rugs his nose on hearing the noble elf "I have to totally agree with Tanbu here. We cannot let them take the hostages or the mission would be a total failure. We have to seize the initiative. If they spot us before we can free the hostages, then we will have to attack swift and aggressively or we will lose them"
The Worldwound is a very dangerous place, and not only because it is filled with powerful, ruthless beings out to destroy mortals, body and soul. Here the border between Golarion and the Abyss grows thin, allowing the chaos, evil, and madness of that realm to spill forth and corrupt everything in its path.
As you continue your journey, you are suddenly forced to face one of these harzards.
"As for other plans, we will have to wait and see the terrain and situation where we catch up with the demons. For we are not in position to choo..." Sir Ilivan is still talking when he stops his horse, and slides from his saddle, covering his ears with his hands.
Everyone please, Will DC 18. This is and evil, mind-affecting, compulsion effect, for bonuses and immunities you might enjoy.
You begin to hear your companions whisper derogatory things under their breath. Trying to focus on what any one person is saying only causes another's whispers to grow louder.
Noticing the corruption of the Abyss has destroyed many plants and mutated others, giving rise to flora you identify as rageweed. These corrupted version of plants have pollen that triggers short-lived but devastating allergic reactions.
When the pollen alights on a moist or fleshy surface, such as being inhaled or touching skin, the pollen quickly germinates, inducing fits of paranoia, hallucinations, and violent rage.
You further know calm emotions, protection from evil, or effects that would completely prevent the pollen from contacting your bodies, would make you immune to the effect.
While we are not under initiative, please restrict yourselves to 1 round actions.

Yes, Greet calms down animals.
Then leshy intends to talk with them, first of all with sir Illivan's horse, but first should be done preparation . Shaman quickly grows a semi-spherical flower, casting Speak with Animals. And this flowers produce strangely animalistic sounds.

Andrelis face is disfigured with anger as he directs himself at Makras.
You have been short time with Andrelis, but enough to notice this is a very unnatural behavior from the elf. It is almost as if his rage was artificial.
Andrelis starts to gnash his teeth and growls at others in a threatening manner. But does not move from place.
Please, a third Will DC 18, if you fail again...
On the next round you enter a murderous rage, attacking at the nearest creature, whether foe or ally.

Tanbu tries to speak up Sil Ilivan, but the half-elf remains curled on the ground and trembling. If he hears the halfling, he does not show.

Greet than addresses the actual battle horse of sir Illivan:
"Hi there. Do you want something to say now as I understand you? I am Greet! "
Greet is far from mastering animalistic language, but he tries hard to start at least some sort of dialog with several animals surrounding.

Even then, the knight only shakily tries to mount his mare, slipping in his stirrup on the first try and nearly falling back on the ground. The group insists on the knight to mount back to his horse, but makes an attempt to be gentle and supportive. The diplomatic effort ultimately makes Sir Ilivan to open up to you. He dries the sweat on his forefront, still trembling "I... I am sorry for that. It... it has never been the same since that encounter with the shadow demon..."
"It happened during the Fourth Mendevian Crusade... the creature possessed me, took my mind..." you see the struggle on the half-elf whose voice breaks up, and as he crumbles down his eyes get wet, you see your efforts and support finally make him open up "I... I killed two members of my platoon before being restrained. It was only through the divine powers of clerics of Iomedae that the demon was cast out."
It looks like telling this story and confessing his past failures is therapeutic for the crusader "Since then, I have panic to lose control. That abyssal pollen Greet talks about... I felt how it was calling the rage in me... I... I felt I could lose control..."
