Death worm's corpse is covered by blisters that are filled with poison secreted from its skin and turned into powder by the dry climate and intense heat. If handled delicately, the body is not dangerous; however, if jostled violently or harmed by a damaging effect, the blisters break and release their poison into the air in a 20-foot radius cloud.

You infer that continuing down the valley is the natural route forward and is likely the path taken by their quarry. The trail descends among many red sandstone arches and hoodoos as the afternoon sun heats the rock formations to baking temperatures. Periodically, you find signs of Kafar and Nefti’s passage, such as a discarded bottle, footprint, or shred of cloth. As the afternoon heat abates, the PCs begin ascending taller peaks.

If you don't have endure elements or anything that protects you from desert heat, make two Fortitude saving throws (DC 15). In addition, if the PCs decide to rest, Kafar and Nefti have that much more time to widen the gap between the two groups.

I think we're still on the same day, so if we were protected by Endure Elements before we still should be. Katswiri cast it on herself before we set out, and I think everyone else used a wand charge at that time.

Dead behir has Crown of swords on its claw as a ring.

After hours of hiking, the scarps on the sides of the canyon gradually descend, until the whole of the terrain becomes a gradual slope encircled by distant mountains and deep chasms. The open valley offers an unobstructed view of the region, and you spot a campsite on a mountain nearby; the light of a campfire is clearly visible to the party just a few miles away. The signal soon disappears, but it is enough to confirm that you are on the right path. At the campsite, over an hour later, you find a recently extinguished fire, bloodied bandages, and fresh tracks.

Inspecting the bandages: DC 15 Heal or Perception:
You find thin, glassy worms caught in the gauze. The you can attempt DC 20 Knowledge (dungeoneering) check on the worms.

Katswiri looks over her companions with some concern. "You're all not looking well either. The air is thin up here...we should move quickly."

Katswiri pulls a scroll out of her pack and casts it on Mina. "Here, this will help." Katswiri moves to Carlin. "Once, I rescued Sulianna of the Ghale Azata from imprisonment. She left me a small fraction of her power as a gift. I think it is time to call on it."

A small crackle of green energy flickers around Katswiri, and the fatigue washes away.

Use the Gift of the Ghaele boon from Katswiri's chronicle 11 to cast Lesser Restoration.

"And she wasn't the only powerful entity I've been able to help with my time in the society. Ranginori, Duke of Thunder, I call on your aid as you promised. Grant Willard a portion of your power, that he may breathe deep and feel refreshed."

The air feels charged, as the scent of a fresh thunderstorm rolls throught the air. Willard feels the fatigue wash away.

Use one use of the Ranginori's Debt to cast Lesser Restoration on Willard.

When it becomes clear the group is getting close to their quarry, Katswiri slows down hesitantly. "I am not very good at sneaking at the best of times, and my armor makes it worse. If we don't want them to hear me coming, we'll need some help. If I pack my armor up, would any of you be able to cast Mage Armor on me?"

I think Katswiri's taking Lesser Restoration as her next 2nd level spell known, this isn't the first adventure she's needed it.

Katswiri reaches the pass, and she sees the way through with her second sight. She barely even slows down as she runs through the pass, trusting her second sight to know she will avoid getting caught up against any of the rocky protrusions.

Her second sight touches the mythic power flowing through her, and time seems to slow as it bursts outwards. Suddenly, every one of her companions feels an absolute certainty that they know the way through the pass, and can feel their actions being guided to make their way through without any hinderance.
