I think this is their second and final round they will be blind, so Vestralis has a 50% miss chance penalty on his attack.
"Move, get behind cover," Cavaler yells as he pushes his way through the panicked crowd.
Intimidation: 1d20 + 16 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 16 + (6) + 1 = 24
I'll move my token to reflect difficult terrain if that roll failed.
Cavaler, moves up the tram's center aisle and takes cover behind a chair. He swings his rocket rifle in line with the closest knight and launches a mini rocket at him.
Rocket Rifle + Improved Get 'Em vs. Blue KAC: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 2 = 14
Bludgeoning Damage: 1d12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 = 20
Cavaler, spends 1 resolve point to use Improved Get 'Em on all enemies. Everyone's next attack against red, blue, or green benefits from a +2 bonus to the attack roll and the damage roll.

Shokil moves into the crowded train, and takes aim at the assassin in blue.
"Everyone down!" he shouts.
attack vs EAC, cover(snipers aim): 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 14 - 2 = 14
F damage: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (1, 5) + 7 = 13

50% miss chance, low hits: 1d100 ⇒ 33

oopse, forgot the +2 to hit and damage, but probably not of significance with that roll.

From all of the attacks only one hurts him. -17
Vecro reaches out for the stars and his hammer begins to burn with flames.
Hammer@green vs KAC: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Damage, b&e, photon attunement, plasma sheath: 3d6 + 10 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (2, 6, 4) + 10 + 1 + 3 = 26

That barely misses. Shokil and Cavaler also miss their targets.

Verrek utters the words of an ancient spell, seasoned with new terms from modern techno magic, and immediately his whip is covered with sparks of electrical tension. At the same moment, he strikes at the leader of the mercenaries.
Merciful Defiant Snap Whip + Jolting Surge: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 221d6 + 11 + 2 + 4d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 2 + (3, 5, 2, 2) = 30 - nonlethal sonic & electricity vs EAC | I hope that he is still blind at the time of attack

That puts Vestralis into unconsciousness. Blue, looking badly beaten up, immediately surrenders. Red looks at them, looks over to you, realises it's six against one, sighs, and also surrenders.
--- Combat Over ---
As the Stewards arrive and takes the rebels away into custody, Vestralis, regains consciousness and launches into a furious rant.
You think justice was done here today? You think the High Chancellor serves Iomedae? He shakes his head vehemently. You’d see us dine with devils and sleep with demons! You’d expose the citizens of the Pact Worlds to the evils of Zon-Kuthon, Damoritosh, and Lao Shu Po! You’d damn our people’s souls! Well, we won’t stand for it. Some of us are brave enough to fight back. Evil has two choices: surrender and repent, or die! You think you’ve beaten us? Others who will take up the sword to defend the Pact Worlds! Others will heed the call of righteousness! Soon, you’ll all have to choose: serve the Light or be destroyed by it!

Shokil checks around for a cigar, opens his helmet and lights it.
"The universe is morally ambiguous. And if you think attacking your high priest is going to get you into heaven..."... he draws deeply and blows smoke at the captive.

"They always have a lot to say don't they."

![]() |

Vecro did not comment that he wouldn't mind sleeping with demon, but he keep it to himself
"And now instead of protecting people from devils you will spend some time in a lonely cell"

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. How corny. Verrek shrugs his shoulders. And familiar.

In the aftermath of all this, the following occurs:
1) Accordant-Contemplator-16 pledges their church’s assistance in tracking down the Data Scourge’s origin, pleasing Celita and Noname
2) High Chancellor Melorian Cadusys is expected to make a full recovery although it was touch and go for a bit. She thanks you profusely and promises to return the favor one day. She’s shocked to discover Vestralis was behind the attack on her life but recovers after a few moments when she decides Vestralis must never have been a “true believer.”
3) Radaszam is thrilled, and promises to get you more work soon as you were successful in influencing at least one of the other delegates.
You have completed both Primary and Secondary objectives gaining 2 Reputation for your Faction. You also gain 1 reputation with the Acquisitives and 1 reputation with the Dataphiles.
Day job rolls please if you haven't already.

Chronicle looks good, saved.
Thank you very much for running this game @Gm. It is interesting to see how such a scenario evolves from 1-05 into this ;)
Thank you all for playing it was cool!

Wait... this ties back to 01-05 somehow?
I missed that. Apart from the general "The society talks with lots of other people" vibe.
