Norbert tries to descend the cable.
Athletics: 1d20 ⇒ 12
This is gonna hurt
Acrobatics to roll with it?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
GM Aerondor
|
Khubelo and Norbert get down okay with the rope. Talltree finds that there is no careful way down for him, even with the rope.
15 is a fail, but not by enough to fall.
Tania PH 7
|
Tania is better at acrobatic ducking and weaving, not rapelling, so she tries to do this slow and easy...
Take 10 + 5 gives her a 21
Tania PH 7

Tania will try to brace the cable down at the bottom assuming she makes it down.
Chrysanthemum Gabbro

Chrysanthemum is delighted to help people take a less painful route down.
Athletics: 1d20 ⇒ 20

<chomp> It takes a bite out of the nearby rock and munches on it, then turns toward your group. It looks hungrily at you, as if wondering how good you might taste.
Chrysanthemum Gabbro
|
Chrysanthemum moves between her companions and the potentially dangerous creature.
"Anyone want to make friends? I think the better area is on its side of the crater."
If that's a Survival check, Chrysanthemum will try, but that is definitely not her strong suit.

Tania has our best Survival check, so I think we are probably not going to be able to nice our way out of this.
Chrysanthemum Gabbro

Chrysanthemum steps forward to try to move it out of the way through force of will, hoping to magically hit on some combination to make it leave.

Why do I suddenly have 24 damage instead of 15?
Chrysanthemum grunts as the creature takes a big bite out of her side. She breathes deeply, sending energy towards the wound. (EP=3, -1 EP Mitigate)
Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Glowing slightly, she slashes at the crest eater with her taclash before stepping back around the crater.

@Chy Either there was a horrible reflective power within the Cresteater... or the GM updated the wrong line in the status bar...

Crit Trick attack damage?: 1d4 ⇒ 3
A weapon with the anchoring fusion has a chance to immobilize its targets. The weapon gains immobilization as a critical hit effect. If the weapon already has a critical hit effect, choose each time whether to apply the weapon’s normal critical hit effect or the immobilization effect. A target affected by the immobilization critical hit effect is unable to move from its space under its own power for 1d4 rounds. It cannot use any form of movement, including teleportation effects, to change its position. If the target is entirely contained in a mobile object (such as a starship or large vehicle), the target is immobile relative to its location within that object. Other creatures and forces can move the target normally.
The cresteater can't move for 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds!
She calls out from above "It's stuck there for a bit. Stay back and shoot. Don't risk getting hit!"
Norbert Smallfoot1

Khubelu steps toward her injured ally and telepathically shouts to her.
<Don't worry, Chrysanthemum! You can handle this!>
Inspiring Boost for 7 SP.
GM Aerondor

Tania's shot is right on. The electric blast seems to unset its gross movement system for a bit. Norbert's shot fails to take advantage of it, while Khubelu provides some reassurance to Chrysanthemum. Dirk fires, further zapping the creature.

Talltree fires... but the laser deflects off its shiny hide. Suggestions for Chys's action?
Chrysanthemum Gabbro
|
Sorry, had a crazy work weekend. Also, does the crest eater have 15 foot reach? If not, how does it reach me?
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Chrysanthemum once again shrugs off the poison (or whatever it is), then slashes at the creature again...
slash: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
acid+entropy: 1d3 + 4 + 1d4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (2) = 8
...badly, then takes another step backwards.
EP:2, +1 from damage, -1 mitigate, -1 cause damage. Current EP:1
If I have calculated this correctly, 15 damage - 2 from Mitigate = 9 SP/20 HP. Then 12 damage - 2 from Mitigate = 0 SP/19 HP. Then +7 SP from Khubelu means 7 SP/19 HP. Not that this is confusing or anything.
