Please sign up using the rpgchronciles link below. This helps automation of chronicles for me.

Hello, everyone*'s favorite cuttlefish diplomat is here! She is level 2, just not updated on the boards yet.
Norbert, good to see you again. You freed the herd from me earlier this year. And I keep joining Aerondor's games, which should say it all about them.
* okay, just mine

![]() |

Hi. I signed up on rpgchronicles but I realize I made a mistake with my starting reputation. I was too low by 1. I haven't gotten to play a lot of SFS in the last year so I'm glad to be able to here! I have about 1300 credits to spend and I need to get my sheet updated from my last game (also an Aerondor game, but slightly sad memory because I got covid pre-vaccine then and missed the end of the scenario) after work tonight but then I should be ready!

I just noticed everyone else seems to be level 1-2. I can change to my level 1 mystic if you'd like?

![]() |

Howdy, all! Hoping that this time we won't be pinned down at long range by sniper fire, or have to deal with a rocket launcher-armed unicorn.
Also too, I just noticed I marked the wrong faction on rpgchronicles--should be Second Seekers (Roheas).

Hiya!

![]() |

I can't edit mine either. Also I decided not to spend any credits. I also still have 15 fame I never spent. Guess I just lose those hehe.

![]() |

Live and learn. I fixed the faction bit up for Talltree, spend doesn't show for me yet.

![]() |

You can only edit if you have logged in.
I just wish I could upload more userpics here. There's a sad lack of good ones for Starfinder.

![]() |

just fyi gm the slides don't seem to allow for us to add images or anything

![]() |

Going on a hunch I tried logging in to google. All of a sudden it worked then.

I looked and I had misremembered the errata that allowed pulling a weapon during a Trick Attack movement. I thought it was broader, and it was not.
I don't suppose you can show me where this is? I've never seen it and would love to start using this for my operative!

Here is a link to the discussion on the Paizo Forums. If BigNorseWolf beleives it, I am inclined to agree.

It's pretty ambiguous
(Types of move actions)
Draw or Sheathe a Weapon
Drawing a weapon so that you can use it in combat or putting it away so that you have a free hand requires a move action. This action includes activating or deactivating the weapon. This also applies to weapon-like objects that are easily accessible, such as remote controls and most tools or sensors you can carry and use with one hand. If your weapon or weapon-like object is stored in a pack or otherwise out of easy reach, you must instead retrieve it as a stored item before you can use it (see Manipulate an Item below).Exception: If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you can combine drawing or sheathing a weapon or weapon-like object with moving up to your speed as a single move action.
You can read this as as part of the draw or sheathe a weapon you may also move up to your speed. That would be my normal way to read it, as it appears under the draw or sheathe a weapon action. That is, as part of the action of drawing or sheathing a weapon you may also do some actual movement.
You could also read it as when you are taking a move your speed action, you may draw a weapon.
This is one of the odd hang-overs from Pathfinder. And its only corner situations where they have basically let you double-dip another small action with a physical move that it comes out.
Generally I'd be happy with someone taking one combined action, but not more than one. But I can certainly see this very legitimately having GM variation.
That said, I do not agree with the "you can also tumble" interpretation from BNW. That really is a different sort of action.

Hm okay. Thank you. I also agree with drawing weapons but not tumbling. But anyway ty for the link!!

I'm helping run PaizoCon this weekend, so I will be slower than usual.

![]() |

How much more do we have to go? I'm not sure how much of the slow pace is due to us being afk doing summer things, and how much is that we're not exactly a high-damage party.

![]() |

We've been going for a bit over a month now. While technically we are not time bound, this is taking a bit longer than usual. There is an optional encounter coming up. Would you prefer to play it, or skip?

![]() |

Not on a deadline like PaizoCon, so either is fine.

![]() |

So sorry I disappeared but I'm back. Sent you a message about what happened, GM.

![]() |

That's a wrap. I'll get your chronicles over the next day or so. Can you confirm your day job rolls if you have them?

![]() |

Profession (Dancer): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

![]() |

Profession (dancer): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Thank you for running!
I promise, Chrysanthemum is actually very graceful. Really. *thud*

![]() |

Profession: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Thank you for GMing. Great playing with all of you!

![]() |

Given this was a season one scenario, I'm not sure what happened to this plot line in the bigger picture of things.

![]() |

If it will take hundreds of years for the creature to consume the planet, we'll find out around season 701.

![]() |

Right, Chronicles are now available.
I did a T10 for Norberts day job.
Any final questions, let me know. I'll mark this inactive over the weekend after I have had reporting confirmed.
Thanks very much for playing everyone.

![]() |

Chronicle looks good.
Thanks for a great game, everyone, especially Aerondor for running!

![]() |

The chronicle looks good.
If there was a continuation of this, I'd think it would involve Big Mina's relatives--suppose she was a particularly slow specimen, and an immature specimen of the faster sort dropped onto an inhabited world? Or maybe the mission is to smuggle a few of them (carefully locked in stasis) onto an enemy world of some flavor?
Thanks again for running, GM A, and thanks to everyone else who played.

Not sure if anyone has read Star Trek: New Frontier (it is definitely one of the obscure parts of the expanded universe), but it reminds me of the Black Mass. Something like what Talltree describes happened there.
