Please dot (add a post) in here and then delete your post to add yourself to this campaign.
1) I am based in Southeast Asia (UTC +8) so my posting hours may be unusual (especially for those in North America). I usually update at least one or twice per day. Just to keep the game moving, please post at least once every day and at least once during the weekend. If you disappear for more than 24 hours, especially during combat, I will simply place your character on infinite delay just to keep things moving.
2) Please label all three of your actions. Even if you think what you are doing is obvious.
3) If I am unavailable for longer than 24 hours, I will let you know in the Discussion Tab. Out of respect for your fellow players and myself, I ask that you do the same. Real life happens, and real life will always take priority over the game, but out of fairness for your fellow players, please let us know if you will be unavailable for an extended period of time.
4) Please complete the Macros and the Slides linked at the top of the page.
5) Questions, concerns? Feel free to share them in the Discussion tab.
6) Let's have some fun and tell a great story together! After all, that's what we are here for.

While traveling on the Flood Road near Urgir an unexpected storm—a rainstorm causes you to seek shelter in a nearby cave. Inside, you find the remains of a campfire that is 2 days old, as well as some simple traveling gear such as a bedroll and cooking pot. A small note is stuck into a crevice in the cave wall, where it stands out against the dark stone. The crevice is near a narrow tunnel that leads deeper into the caves. The note is written in Common and Orcish, and is dated 2 days before.
If you find this, I am caught somewhere below. I am Lorekeeper Unzgrin, and I’ve gone below to explore what I believe are the ruins of an ancient dwarven outpost. I trust that there is no danger, but if you find this note, and more than a day has passed, then I am likely in trouble. I offer a reward in gold for any assistance in exploring the caves — and for my immediate rescue, should I be in danger.
—Lorekeeper Unzgrin of Urgir
Please introduce yourselves here

The dwarf nods with appreciation. Of course there is no danger if this is a Dwarven outpost. But that might not be the case.
Wearing a light armor with a shield hanging behind his back the dwarf with long brown mustache has a pistol at his belt.
My name’s Kromrock Crushmaster and my friends call me Kromrock Crushmaster.

![]() |

You see a well-dressed, though rather sodden, ratfolk carrying a wide variety of bottles and pouches. "It's unlikely that the outpost is the problem. Rather whatever has moved into the outpost. I'm Zekki! Investigator for the glorious Pathfinder Society."
She gets out a candle, lights it, and looks around the cave for any tracks or other clues.
Pursue a Lead will give me a +1 circumstance bonus to checks regarding this lead.

Damian pulls off the hood of his heavy cloak, revealing horns and eyes that mark his devilish heritage.
"An orc exploring dwarvish ruins." he considers, "Unquiet spirits would not be friendly to such an incursion. I am uneasy, myself."
Damian pokes at the fire and supplies before turning toward the tunnel leading deeper. "Damian Darkblood, supernatural investigations." he nods at the ysoki, "Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

A samll green goblin with red bulging eyes plays a tin whistle as the rainstorm continues to pour down heavily outside the cave he is currently sheltered. He didn't notice he has company until they begin speaking and introducing themselves.
”Ohhh, hello, hello. I wonder when thish rainshtorm would ishtop. Anyway, I am Griphook Ragnok.” he introduces himslef and finds someone holding a note. He gets it and reads the content. ”Shomeone needsh reshcuing! Good thing we sheltered in thish cave.”

As the others gather around together, an overly-energetic goblin bounds around the room, apparently unable to hold still. A new diversity hire, he's a little over three feet tall. Though a little less scrawny than other goblins, his body is still dwarfed by a wide, ungainly head. He grins to reveal a wide mouth of uneven fangs, which leaves the impression of a particularly mischievous streak that may cause all kinds of trouble to humankind.
"Dangerous things below, hopefully! Shagrat ready!" he exclaims. A silver disk with a seven-pointed star hangs on a leather cord around his neck--a Sihedron medallion from an ancient empire.
"Anyone here know how to heal? Shagrat get hurt a lot."

![]() |

Griphook shakes his goblin head with a shrug to the fellow goblin's question.

![]() |

Zekki shakes her head. "I'm better with antidotes than healing elixirs. But if there's nothing up here, maybe we should go rescue someone?"

![]() |

Damian looks between the two goblins. "It is a pleasure seeing you both again. I hope we do not run into any wild dinosaurs in this cave."
As he follows the group further into the cavern he answers Shagrat's question, "I can whip up a healing elixir in a pinch. But, do try not to make it necessary."
With that, he pulls a vial from beneath his cloak, pulls the stopper and adds a bird's eye, which causes the liquid within to foam briefly. The orc quaffs the mixture and blinks his devilish eyes toward the dark. "This should help me spot anything amiss."

By mutual agreement, you descend to the caverns below.
The Area Map has been posted.
I'm going to assume that you will be moving together as a group. If not, please let me know. Please arrange yourselves how you will be moving -- the marching order in the slides is partly complete. For future reference, the area map will be linked to the top of the page.

![]() |

Okay, the one in front move. Stay together people. Not necessary to need to send an expedition to rescue the ones who rescued the one.
The dwarf readies his shield and his pistol in hands.

![]() |

"I'll follow where you lead." Zekki is happy to stay in the back unless we need someone to do something about traps.

![]() |

”Yesh, shouth shoundsh good to me.” Griphook responds to Mordok. ”Let'sh move.” he tells to everyone.

![]() |

"To the South, then. It is good to keep a wall to your right to avoid getting lost in such caverns." Damian keeps alert for any trouble.

![]() |

Seeing Mordok continues to go further south, Griphook does not complain. He begins to play with his tin whistle as they travel inside the cavernous cavern, his music echoing throug the jagged walls.

![]() |

The tunnel narrows. You can each squeeze through if you'd like... or you can head back and try the other passage.

![]() |

When Griphook looks at the narrow tunnels, he stops playing his tin whistle and begins to jump happily. He likes tight spaces, so he quickly runs into and attempts to go through it.
”Let'sh go through here! Come on, everyone.” he invites them to squeeze through one of the narrow tunnels.
Acrobatics Check to Squeeze: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 If success, it becomes critical success, thanks to his Extra Squishy feat.

![]() |

"It is unlikely that Unzgrin went this way." Damian frowns, "But, better to exhaust all possibilities I suppose."
"Griphook, can you report back what you find? Not all of us are so... nimble."

![]() |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Zekki takes a quick look around the area to see if anything jumps out at them, then follows Griphook quietly through the narrow tunnels.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 low-light, scent
Acro to squeeze: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Unfortunately, she doesn't see the rock jutting out and whacks her toes sharply against it, yipping with pain.

![]() |

Like Griphook, Shagrat has no fear of the tight quarters.
Still, his ungainly head seems to be a little larger than his goblin ally.
"Can't--get--head--through!" he complains.
acrobatics to squeeze: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

![]() |

If Griphook is able to squeeze through, he will look around from his position. Perception +5 (darkvision).

![]() |

The space is about 5' wide, so you should be able to squeeze past without making a check. The space where Griphook and Zekki are should be big enough without having to make the Acrobatics check
Zekki's yips of pain do cause a rustling sound to be heard nearby, however.

![]() |

Damian squeezes into the chamber and investigates the mushrooms.
"Merely some fungus, Kromrock. We should continue searching for our missing scholar."
Perc. +5

![]() |

Zekki continues squeezing past into the open-ish area and looks down the passages out of here. Perception +7, low-light & scent 30' If she doesn't see anything, she'll come back to the main group to follow a wider path.

![]() |

Bones and other detritus litter the floor of this small chamber. Thick webs cling to the walls and ceiling.
Crafting or Nature to try to ID the bones/webs
Griphook can get through.
Nothing extraordinary about the mushrooms, but there appears to be a large cavern behind them.

![]() |

”Did you hear that?” Griphook calls their attention after hearing a rustling sound. ”We should follow that.”

![]() |

"There is a large cavern through here," Damian gestures toward the stand of mushrooms, "But we should clear this area before moving on."

![]() |

No, I don’t hear anything. So we’re splitting now. Do you clear the cavern or are you bothered by simple mushrooms? That’s an orc we have to find, not mushrooms.

![]() |

Zekki backs out of the caverns, since the rest of the party can't follow. "Let's find a way for us all to get there. I prefer my paste to not be me."
I'm assuming the larger party members can't get in here. If that's not the case, I am very confused. Regardless, I would like to move on. We've been at this cave for a week.

![]() |

So you're all going to retrace and take the other fork?

![]() |

I vote to retrace and take the other fork.
